"Me? Strange?" the man started laughingly, slowly sliding off of Mickey and standing up straight. The man seemed to be in a better mood, though it couldn't compare to the goofy happiness he had the night before.

"Yes, very," Larissa said in response to Hari's question, though it was probably aimed at Nariko. Mickey blushed even more at Nariko's words and didn't say anything.

Hari watched the girls amusedly, standing back to let them tease each other. It was good that they could joke around after such a horrible night. Are you going to tell them? There's a strong feeling to the south... An item could be in one of those towns, or maybe laying in the grass the sword hissed softly, as though it were wrapped around the man's shoulders. The man didn't respond to the sword though he was already planning on going in a different direction. It would be fun to lead the group in the wrong direction, and he would be able to see what the group was all about.

"Shut up~" Mickey complained, burying her face in her hands. Larissa laughed. "Mickey's such a player~"

"We should head west..." the man started up slowly, interrupting the girls and their teasing. It wasn't a big deal about which direction to go in as long as it wasn't south. There were only two cities to the south of Itacia so finding the first item would be way too easy. The most cities laid to the east.

"There's more land to the west..." the man spoke, keeping his voice slow so as to keep a thinking air about him, "Also, one of the most popular cities is out west as well. The most people gather over there so it would be a good place to start looking..."

"That makes sense," Larissa agreed, nodding. "Can we go soon?" Mickey asked, finally relaxing. She was growing impatient.

"Sure," the man nodded, "Just go gather everyone and everything you all need. It's about a day and a half to the next town but from there, the Tabbir Forest shouldn't be too far. We can decide our next course of action in the next town though."

The night before, Holt had caught something, and had gone back to camp, only to find that the Council had returned. They had feasted, leaving their remainders for the middle-sized kits(who were training) and the females to squabble over and split up. Holt was among those to get the scraps for his food; he had had to give his own catch up to one of the new mothers. Anyways, the boy wasn't too hungry after the discovery of what he thought was a dragon. --- This morning, Holt had gotten up early. He bounded out of the burrow in his underground den shared by him and his sisters, and across the tunnel on all fours (because it wasn't tall enough to stand in) to his parents' nest. "Mom! Dad!" Holt called out, lashing his tail back and fourth. "You'll never guess what I saw!" His mother continued to sleep on and ignore Holt's cries, but his father managed to groggily raise his dirty-blond head. "What?" He yawned, curling his tail closer to his mate. "A dragon! On the island!" "Holt, are you pulling my tail? It's not funny, making jokes about dragons. We stopped going to the Mountains up North because dragons tried to pick us off like snacks!" His father yawned, and rested his head on his fore-paws again. "No, I'm serious! It was flying on the island, and... and I caught a scent of stuff that didn't smell like anything I've ever smelled before!" Holt stomped his hind leg to the dirt ground. His blue eyes sparkled in determination. "I'm dead serious!" His father let out a growl telling Holt to go back to sleep, but his mother nudged her mate with a small paw. "You think it could be from....?" she trailed off, blinking. "No, it's not!" The older male snarled at his mate, telling her too to shut up. "We had to get here somehow, too. And this is what my mother and grandmother told me... could it be happening again?" the female, tawny brown-furred mother reasoned. Her eyes the color of the sky widened, giving a slightly worried expression. "It's happened before, even in just your father's time. But those were only small things, coming in small amounts. It's never been a dragon before." "But where's there's a dragon, there's obviously more! And I do not want to get the Chief to get the Council to deal with this dung!" Holt's father's golden eyes stared his mate down. "But.... not all of them smelled like dragon." Holt finally spoke up again, but he had no idea what his parents were talking about. "They could all be dangerous. End of case, let's hope the don't deal with us." Holt's father growled again, clamping his eyes shut. Holt's mother was more giving. "We'll go tell the Chief." It was obvious there was worry in her voice, but about what, Holt wondered... "Let's go." The female led Holt out of their den, and up above the ground.
