Denath watched both Warder and Aes Sedai with awe. He knew that his jaw must be close to hitting the ground but he didn't care, the deadly dance of steel captivating him.
"Wow," was all he could utter as the two blades flashed about, the glint from the blades in the early morning light only adding to the skill and elegance both fighters possessed. If Jazral can teach me to fight like that...

Nanako had wondered off to the outskirts of the camp. Spurned yet again by Gwynne, she didn't want to show anyone just how hurt she truly was. Why does she continue to do this? It never used to be this way.
Reining in her emotions, the world eventually came back to her. It was at this time the sound of steel on steel struck her ears. Running towards the ruccus, she noted that nothing seemed out of the ordinary, and was more then greatful to see it was simply Jazral and Selene sparing. Seeing Denath with a look of pure awe on his face, she walked over and sat next to him, enjoying the show of grace and expertice the two put on.
Chuckling to herself at how rapt Denathe was, she was simply happy that he seemed better this day. "I'm glad to see you back on your feet Denathe. How is your leg feeling today?"
She continued to watch the deadly dance, admiring them both for skill she simply did not have. Afterall, she had spent her life as a healer, taught to revire life. It was only recently that she had ever fought, and only when forced to.

"Perfectly fine," he said with a grin, hardly taking his eyes of the two combatants, "I believe I have you and Selene Sedai to thank for that, as well as for healing Mist, my horse."
He looked her in the eye, somehow aware that despite being Aes Sedai Nanako was just as human as he was. Hadn't he seen the same fear in their eyes during the battle? Hadn't they had their courage tested to the breaking point?
"If there is a way I can repay you do not hesitate to ask." He felt a small shudder run through him as the words escaped his lips. It was by no means as strong a promise as the one he had made not to fail Jazral, but it was a promise nontheless. It seemed that he was going to be tied to Aes Sedai for a while longer, probably a lot closer than he would have liked. But then again, didn't he also want to become a Warder? Wouldn't Aes Sedai be a part of his life so long as he walked that path?
A part of him said yes, but his mind still held onto some of the wariness he'd felt ever since he'd started being around Aes Sedai. As crazy as it sounded he still felt more comfortable amoungst the male Channelers he'd seen so far, with Draz maybe being the exception, than those that were women. It was probably because he could atleast understand the men, whereas the women remained a complete and utter enigma.
Turning back to watch his mentor and his mentor's charge lock blades he couldn't help but let the grin return to his face. "They sure are something to watch, aren't they?"

Selene giggled, "Tired? You wish. But if you need a break we can take one..." She sent a series of attacks at him which even he found it hard to counter them all, a few went to his legs and others to his sides and upper half. Taking a step to the side Jazral took the same step and she kept the attacks up, their eyes locked on each other. She had a feeling she was the only person who could stare at his golden eyes this long without being unnerved some how. "So, when are we going to visit your family? I know you remember where they live. You told me, I know where they live from your descriptions."
Jazral visibly faltered and it was clear she had hit some nerve, Selene took this time to try a swinging attack to his head but he countered it quickly; even upped his pace and speed. Selene was now having a hard time keeping up with all of the hits but she did, Jazral then switched his sword to his better hand and started attacking that way. Selene did the same, switching from the left to the right, it helped some but he kept upping the attacks. Her smile had faded away and now her face was pure determination, but it barely helped, Jazral finally landed a hit. The flat of his scimitar struck her thigh, the sound brought along the end of their match.

Jazral smiled as the flat of his blade hit her tight. They both droped their deffences and Selene sheithed her sword "That was dirty you know Selene. Bringing up my family" Under his breath Jazral said just softly enough for only Selene to hear "We'll discuss that later"
He turned to Denath and smiled as the mans face was one of awe "Remeber Denath, Never be afraid to fight dirty in a battle, us every possible advantage you possibly can in a battle. He looked over at Selene who had taken up a possision next to Nanako "And Try not to wear any dresses into battle" Jazral laughed and asked Denath to step into the open and draw this sword. After the man got into possision Jazral said "Are you ready friend? I want to see what you're capable of, right from the get go come at me, and please do not hold back"
Jazral raised his scimitar and droped down into a deffencive battle stance

Selene giggled, "Just think how it would have been if I wore breeches instead..." She winked at Jazral and looked at Nanako. "I hope you're having a good morning, I checked on Denath's mare this morning, the poison is almost gone from her wounds and then they can be healed up." Selene smiled at her softly, though her thigh was aching, she had a feeling a bruise was forming under the light green material.

Nikoru looked at Gwynne with a touch of sadness in her eyes. Her voice was quiet when she spoke, and it held a reluctant ring of hope.
"I do not know. There are...a few who hold Talents long thought lost. We are regaining some of the lost Weavings. But we are small compared to what we once were."
Sighing, she shook her head, giving a slightly wry grin.
"And there are those who are incredibly strong in the Power. Few and far between, but they are the ones we seek fiercely. They hold the key to unlocking lost Talents. They are the key to unlocking forgotten Power."
Glancing at Gwynne to gauge her reaction, she gave a little shrug, making sure Gwynne saw in her eyes that Nikoru at the least was no threat to her.
"I am not one to force women to the Tower. It is a hard life, though rewarding. They would welcome you with open arms, however. But you would be disciplined, and I think that is not the life for you. You would spend many days in the chambers of the Mistress of the Novices."

Somehow, the wolfsister's yellow eyes spoke honesty. Have I been wrong? Are there really Aes Sedai as driven by true loyalty to the Lord Dragon as I am? "The Tower... would end up severing me, Aes Sedai. I would not be bent to novice's discipline. Given the power of Aes Sedai I've met, I could not be kept away from the Source when I was in proper state of mind by less than several of you linked, and none of you, or the Accepted, would care to spend the time it would take." She took a deep breath, shaking her head as if to clear it. I must still be mad... "But I will listen to you, Nikoru Sedai. There is something in your eyes that I can only call the truth... and the a'dam said the same had I paid attention to it at the time... But most of all, I want to learn..." The last phrase was spoken with such fervor that the rose she held, weave of Illusion though it was, seemed to brighten. "I want to learn what I could have done to make a difference when my sister was killed..." Tears leaked from her eyes. "Forgive me, Aes Sedai... I will find you when I can hold myself together..." Turning away, she walked, nearly running, back to her tent. Blood and ashes, falling apart in front of an Aes Sedai... She sat, shaking uncontrollably, for several minutes, fighting both her feelings and the desire to touch saidar, once again near her.

Streching as he finds the perfect spot for solitude, Darz makes a quick glance around him. He continues to weave strands of Water before finding a spot to settle the pool. Though it is only a few feet deep after it is set, it will be more than enough to bathe. Heaving a sigh, he gives himself a moment to think on the events of just this day, so far. Almost rolling his eyes, Darz can't help but smirk. Reversing a weave of Spirit, Air, Water, and Earth, what appears to be, at first, a wall errupts around him. It only takes a few moments for the landscape to return to normal...save the fact that Darz is no where to be seen.
From the inside, Darz sees what he wants to see. He's back in his room, a bath drawn just moments ago. It is a sad reminder, to him, that he may never be able to see this again. He knows the chances are slim, if he is to return, that he would not be severed. However, it is also a happy memory to dwell in. With both teary eyes and a smile, Darz proceeds to prepare himself for a bath. Weaving strands of Fire and Air, he heats the small pool to a temperature of his liking. He doesn't even think about channeling saidin; it is natural to him, and he knows nothing of how it is seen in this day and age. As he looks into the shimmering reflection of his face in the pool, a look of confusion crosses Darz's face.
~I look almost two-hundred...~
Heaving an annoyed breath, Darz realizes he's looked this way since he first arrived. To this age, unbeknownst to him, he looks 32 years of age. As he un-ties the tied-off Illusion Mask, his age looks to melt to that of a late-teen/early-twenty year old. A decade is, literally, washed from his face. To him, Darz now looks his age of seventy-three. To the others, he will look nineteen, ten years younger than he looked before. He rolls his eyes, again, knowing he's looked twice his age, to him, for a while now. It was, obviously, a poor guise as Immorys had found him.
While washing himself, Darz notices an odd bump, partially hanging from his ear. Looking at it, he realizes just how Immorys had been able to track him so far. It's a "bug" -- in a loose sense. Almost cursing himself, he considers what to do with it. He figures it best to let the Aes Sedai of this age, Selene and Nikoru -- having learnt that Nanako and Gwynne are untrained individuals called "Wilders" -- decide what to do with this ter'angreal.
~How hadn't I noticed this, before? Perhaps my Illusion Mask hid it from other's view... I would never wear such jewelry... I have to deactivate it...~
Looking over it, however, Darz realizes Immorys' body must still have the other half. He walks over to his clothes as he emerges, cleaned. He contemplates how he would explain this to the Aes Sedai as he redresses. Seating himself after dressing, he decides to think a bit. The ter'angreal has its use. Quirking a brow, Darz knows one reaction the others may give.
~At the very least, we must prevent another from finding the ter'angreal.~

Kudos Das "Perfectly fine," he said with a grin, hardly taking his eyes of the two combatants, "I believe I have you and Selene Sedai to thank for that, as well as for healing Mist, my horse."
"If there is a way I can repay you do not hesitate to ask."
"They sure are something to watch, aren't they?" I suppose, but then again, healing is what I was born to do. There's no thanks necessary. As for askance, you're here and your a friend. That's all I ask of anyone Denathe." Smiling, her blue eyes danced in the sun as they continued to watch the fight. "They are at that. Better them then I I'm afraid." Giggling, she applauded at the end of the match, feeling livelier then she had in some time. Selene Rosara Selene giggled, "Just think how it would have been if I wore breeches instead..." She winked at Jazral and looked at Nanako. "I hope you're having a good morning, I checked on Denath's mare this morning, the poison is almost gone from her wounds and then they can be healed up." Selene smiled at her softly, though her thigh was aching, she had a feeling a bruise was forming under the light green material. Eyes still sparkling, she was more then pleased to hear Selene's news. "That's always a good thing to hear. And... I'm doing quite fine at the moment. The day seems to be improving." A slightly mischievious glint entered her eyes, as she realized both Denathe and Jazral would be engaging each other next. "Selene, would you mind teaching a new weave or two while they have their fun?" It surprised her that she was so anxious... and that she knew she was due to the fact that Gwynne was simply not here and she now had a chance to learn something before the girl. She didn't care if it were childish or not, simply because her friend's own actions had been little but.

Blinking at the change in Gwynne's demeanor, Nikoru had to control the urge to reach out a hand to comfort her. She was desperate to learn, that was obvious. And Nikoru had no doubts that given the chance, Gwynne would have the whole of the Tower dangling on strings about her feet. She was glad this Wilder was not a Dark Friend. As she was about to respond to Gwynne's question about her sister, the woman began to cry, and Nikoru winced as she ran off.
"Gwynne..."
Sighing, she decided to let her go off on her own. All Nikoru could do was make the bloody Wilder angry. Scowling slightly, she wandered in the direction of her own tent and sat down, beginning the tedious process of putting her hair back into it's multitude of miniature braids, slipping tiny beeds onto each one. Years of practice made this easy enough, but it still took time, and it seemed time was something Nikoru had plenty of at the moment.

Selene nodded at Nanako, "Why not? Might as well make it a day of learning while we wait. I know you're skilled in Healing so I won't even try there, hmm... What style of weaves would you like to learn?" She held up her hand and weaved together Fire, Spirit and Air into a small fire ball into her hand.
"My specialties lie within battle weaves, go figure." She winked at Nanako and made the ball bounce on the palm of her hand. Then she fed it more, make it grow in size then she shrunk it to the size of a marble. Reaching her finger up she sent it spinning, still growing in size and moving up and down. "I have to much fun some days." She giggled softly.

After a good, long moments rest, Darz rises. He grasps the ter'angreal as he thinks back to the clothing Tarma gathered for him. It was a nice gesture, but he isn't used to looking so...informal, to say the least. He thinks of what clothing he'd rather have, and he decides it would be in his, and Gwynne's, best interest that he doesn't dress as if he's going to a formal event within the Hall of Servants. The question is; what should he wear?
~I could dress as I did when I attended school... Perhaps my teacher's attire would better suite the here and now...~
Coming to a decission, Darz weaves strands of Spirit and Air, targetting his clothing to change the perception they give. They may be close to his body, but they are not him or a part of him. Wonderous shades of blue illuminate in carefully crafted fabric, or so it would appear. It's clothing similar to what Darz wore when he was teaching those like Immorys. It's made to look less formal, but, to those in his group (again, unbeknownst to him), he may appear far too formal. To Darz, this choice of clothing is good for any season and excellent for battle. Heaving a sigh, seeming to be more comfortable, Darz dispells the Illusion Wall around him. The pool of, now luke-warm, water dissipates as he begins walking back towards the encampment.
~He haunts me even after death. We'll have to see to it that his...ter'angreal isn't used for malicious intent.~
Darz decides to walk into the actual encampment, so he makes his way to the fire where Selene is starting an educational session with Nanako. Deciding to stay out of the way, the newly dressed Darz watches in silence. He'd rather not disturb them. He's far enough away as to not be in easy eye-sight, but he's close enough that any eyes wandering his direction would take notice of him. He knows he avoided the same path he took from where he spoke with Nikoru, but he doubts he would have gone, completely, unseen.

(I don't mean to step on toes, but my absense has pushed back this plotline, as well as the Borderland's, and I want to get things rolling again. So that we're not dependant on me. So, forgive, please?)
There wasn't much to the landscape. Rolling hills, a few distantly scattered trees, and lots of grass. He'd been scouting for what seemed forever when he finally decided there really wasn't anything out to disturb them. He half expected a Seanchan legion to step out of the woodwork and take them all prisoner. Or kill them. It seemed about as fortunate as things had been running lately.
Returning to the group, he looked around at the excitement that they were creating for themselves. Aes Sedai teaching Wilders. Warder training recruits. Strange men changing their appearance. It all seemed so normal. What's happened for me to think these things are every day occurances?
"If we're to reach Tear today, we need be leaving. It's still a good journey ahead. I don't want to waste much daylight, if possible." Glancing at the sun, it was almost to high noon. With some reluctance, they packed their few belongings and saddled up. Half an hour had passed before they were mounted and moving again.
What he didn't mention is he wanted to look at the stone structure ahead. It reminded him of a few other similar objects he had encountered in his journey, though as far as he knew, they were history collumns. Each had a horde of strange script or symbols on it, and he assumed it was something from the Age of Legends. They had all sorts of interesting artifacts back then. Sometimes he wished he could have a hundreth of what they knew just for fighting skills.
Leading them closer to the Stone, he watched as part of the group fell behind. Riding close to him, Tarma, Nikoru, Selene, and Nanako all took to their own clusters. Nanako listened into what Nikoru and Selene had to say while Tarma floated closer to him for lack of anyone better to talk to at the moment. Darz rode near Jazral and Denath as they continued to discuss whatever they had been talking of earlier. Or something along those lines. It looked like training to him, but he didn't pay much attention.
Between the two groups, Nozrin rode in his sullen quietness that he had wrapped around himself. He didn't have his harp out, but his fingers idly tapped his quarterstaff that rested across the pommel of his staddle. He looked like a man with nothing to live for anymore. A defeated look clouded his eyes, but beyond that defeat rested a great determination and a courage to match any of the Heros of the Horn. Just a few paces to his side, Tazmin graced his presense. It was odd watching the former-Seanchan warrior try to adapt to their group. Though, she would in time. She had the brute persistance of a festering splinter stuck in a finger.
Gwynne idled in the last gap, keeping to herself. Something was bothering her, but he wasn't about to find out what it was. She irritated him and he had no reason to speak to her. What she did was her own doing and he would leave her alone, as long as it didn't endanger Nikoru or himself.
A good forty spans separated the groups from Markus' cluster to Tazmin and Nozrin and then to the last of the group. Markus had little to say. He was unsure of what was really happening. He felt unstable. Almost like he didn't belong here. He eased his sword in the scabbard, his unease very apparent. He looked at Tarma, who rode next to him and eyed him with a concern he couldn't blame her for.
"Sometimes things don't sit well with me. Sometimes they're right." He shrugged, trying to shake the feeling. "A soldier's instinct. You understand, yes?"
And with a start, he realized they were upon the Stone. He looked over it and saw it just as he remembered it. Although, this was a different one. Stopping to dismount nearby, he ran a hand over it.
"Isn't it a sight? No telling what it really is," he said. It was a quietness to his voice only reserved for special finds. This was special. It was something no one knew anything about.

((Yay... We just love skipping big chunks of time whee ))
Darz is surprised by the man's reaction to the Portal Stones. He has no name for him, but he thinks naught of that, at the moment. What has brought this reaction to something so common? He looks at the stones, recollecting the times he's used them. The ability to move oneself from one location to another without anybody detecting the portal was a wonderous ability that Darz had used a few times to sneak around behind the Forsaken's lines; though, it is an incredibly difficult ability, even in his time.
Why react so strongly to Portal Stones?
Darz isn't talking to anybody, imparticular. He, also, isn't paying much attention as to where he is in relation to the others. He had been watching the others from time to time, knowing it best to avoid Gwynne while she regains her composure. He also thinks it best to avoid the Aes Sedai, for the moment. He'd like to speak with the warrior maiden, Tarma, but he figures it best not to pursue that, for the moment. She'd come to him when she was fine and ready. Heaving a sigh, Darz doesn't seem impressed by the wonders of the Age of Legends. Why would he be? He has no idea that those of this, the Third Age, have no idea the true potential of the Portal Stones. They are, afterall, what allowed him to travel forward in time. He's come to the decision to not go back...not just yet.
