She laughed softly as Brendan took her apology wrong. It didn't matter though. As long as she was able to let him know she was sorry, it was all tha mattered. Of course, she knew that he was probably due to return to the search the other members of the church were conducting. "Don't the others need you...?" she asked quietly, knowing he would probably think she was trying to get rid of him.
In a way, she was but she also didn't want him to go. The fact that he showed up in a rush about his missing brother made her slightly wary. She had felt uneasy about being alone before he arrived, like she wasn't alone even though the house was empty. And the way the guy had left... it was kind of creepy now that she thought about it.

"Umm...well... you're probably right I guess..." As he got up on his feet he winked at her. "I guess that means we're even for the things I said in church, right? Well, if there's anything you want, just call me. You've got the number to my cellphone, right?" He had to admit, hearing Admalia say that someone seemed to be stalking Lyz had made him worry, but knowing that she was all right made him feel better. "Yeah, I rushed here instead of asking Admalia what she knew because I was worried about a friend" he lied to himself. He didn't like to think about the complications that his other thoghts might cause.

Brandon laughed as he heard the girl who claimed to have caught him. He melted into the nearest shadow and appeared next to her. "For now I have no intention of killing you as long as you leave me alone, girl" he said while pointing his shotgun at her forehead. The birds didn't bother him, even if she had managed to pinpoint his location, he could easily escape out of the range of her powers. The shadows were his allies just as much as they were hers.

Blushing profusely, the seventeen-year-old jumped to her feet as well. "I.. uh... maybe... I don't know," she stammered. 'Oh God! Oh God! Oh God! Why does he have to be so cute?!' she thought, her cheeks turning redder at the thought. If she kept thinking like she did she was likely to start getting panicky and hyperventalating. 'Deep breaths... calming thoughts,' she thought as she took several deep breaths.
She reached for her cell phone quickly and started to search through the directory for Brendan's cell number. After scrolling through her various aunts and the few friends of hers that had "A" names, she found the young man's name and celll number. "I... I have your cell number," she mumbled as she set her cell down. She started to bite her lip nervously to keep from asking him to stay so she wouldn't have to be alone. The last thing she wanted was to look like a coward. She could handle looking like a flake and a klutz but not a coward.

"Are you sure you're all right?" he asked as he saw her face turn red. "You don't have a fever or something?" He put a hand on her forhead. "Maybe you've got a cold. Just wait here, I'll cook some soup for you." He left the room and walked downstairs, feeling a little guilty about not going back to the other chuch members now that he had gotten his quetions answered. Ah well, he could deal with it later, right now Lyz was sick. Strange though, she had seemed perfectly fine until just recently. At least he was a decent cook. He did his best to ignore the voice in the back of his head telling him that he was only stalling.

"Wait! I'm fine!" she called and followed after him. She grabbed his hand as he started down the stairs."I'm not sick..." she said softly. She didn't want him to trouble himself making her soup when she didn't need it. She would feel guilty about letting him think something was wrong with her when there wasn't. Well, nothing aside from being a little scared.
"I... I'm just a little scared. I know, it's silly..." she said and looked at the wooden floor she was standing on. She waited for him to laugh.

"Now I'm defenitly sure you're sick" he said with a surprised expression. "But if you really are worried about something, I guess I can stay for a while, if you don't mind. Are you sure you don't want me to cook something for you while I'm here anyway?" He was slightly taken aback when feeling her holding her hand, but he didn't try to pull it away.

"It's just... I feel like I'm beaing watched...." she said softly, shivering slightly at the thought. She was starting to think that being part of the church brought this down on her. After all, they were hunting creatures that weren't human. It would be entirely plausible that they would know who was and wasn't part of the church.

Duncan_the_Soulknight Brandon laughed as he heard the girl who claimed to have caught him. He melted into the nearest shadow and appeared next to her. The birds didn't bother him, even if she had managed to pinpoint his location, he could easily escape out of the range of her powers. The shadows were his allies just as much as they were hers. It no longer mattered. If he DID escape, she would always know where he was. She had a permenant soul lock on him. "We shall meet another time then..." She let a smile break through her stoney features. "I am.. let's say interested, in you.... just remember, I can be just as hostile." A green ring suddenly sprang a trap at his feet. It was a calculatory ring, resembling alchemic symbols, and it spun, rotating slowly. "Now, you may shift your position of threat... or you may be slashed into twenty pieces by a direct function equation. Don't try to cover it up, it'll just catch up with you later." She warned him. "Every problem has to be solved after all, only I can counter effect it." She knew for a fact she was the only one in control of mathematics, and it would not fade until the universe ended. Either that or she used the inversion function on it. This was her one great power, although if she must destroy him that way... it would tear at her own soul and weaken her. (( Forgive me for using quotes sweatdrop ))

((Ah! I left for two days and now I'm mired in all these posts! gonk ))
Finally, Dias had a chance to go out on his own. No longer did he need to stick around with the rest of the students. And why would they? They've never helped him out... Regardless, he did feel a bit uneasy being alone in this park. What exactly could be in here that made Admalia so cautious?
Dias made his way down a beaten path. Ominous old trees hung over either side of the path, forming somewhat of a tunnel. If not for the rays of light that pierced these trees, Dias would have surely not have dared go down this path.

"But..." she murmured. She didn't want to go outside. If there was something out there, who's to say that it couldn't over power both of them? "...what if we can't handle it alone? Brendan, I'd never forgive myself if you got hurt because I'm such a coward!" she blurted out in protest.

"I'm touched that you care bout me" Brendan said. "Well, if that's how you feel we can just stay here then." He knew that she had a valid point, so he didn't argue. Staying alone with her in her house wasn't exactly bad either. "Besides, I'd hate myself if you got hurt too. And don't you ever call yourself a coward. You just happen to know better than most how to look after yourself."

Not knowing why or really caring, she pulled Brendan into a tight hug. It was a rather awkward hug since she was a stair higher than him. After a few minutes she pulled away to prevent both of them from toppling down the stairs.
"Uh... did you want to study for the quiz tomorrow?" she asked him as she tucked a chunk of loose hair behind her ears. In all honesty, studying was the last thing Alyzandra wanted to do. Normally when she was alone with a guy other activities ensued... but she pegged Brendan too good for such things. 'Besides,' she thought, 'I have no interest in Brendan what so ever!'

Sanura spotted the young man walking down the path and tilted her head wondering what he was doing out there alone. Her escourt wondered as well and stopped by a bench watching the man come down the path.
Admalia was watching too...and silently cursing. What is he up to? He can't handle a vampire alone. She took note that Stan had at least returned and motioned for him to hide himself. Usually she wouldn't use her telepathy to talk to someone without their permission but it was important at the moment. I want you to stay here while I go and make sure that Dias stays safe. One of the two on the path is a vampire and none of you can handle her by your self.
After that she slid out of her spot and crept along closer to the path so she could help Dias when he needed her.

Fine. I'll stay hidden for now. he thought, nodding at Admalia. He crouched to the ground.
But if there's trouble, I'm heading in. he thought, as he crept forward to some nearby bushes, moving closer to Dias and to the vampire, ready to back the others up. While hiding, he peeked through the bushes at the couple, keeping his eye on the vampire.
