Yui sternly stood in place, hands on her hips as she awaited for this man to explain himself. He didn't seem that big of a threat hence the reason she didn't call out for Nakago. The fact that he answered his own questions implied that he probably had some disorder of a sort. It was strange on how the expression he gave her reminded her of a fellow school boy getting caught cutting class. Damn...she didn't have time for this, they didn't have time for this, they had to prepare for Miaka's arrival. "Carry on about your chores." Yui spoke up to the servants and chefs whose stares were even begining to make her feel uncomfortable, not once darting her gaze away from Kouji. "If you're not not that seishi woman's pet than why do you insist on attempting to ruin my plans?" Yui narrowly inquired as she maintained her distance away from him. He didn't look the least bit dangerous but looks could be decieving.

Yuki_Yubari Kouji glanced over at the question and stared in awe. 'She's beautiful,' he thought to himself, 'she's nice hair, I wonder if it's a trend here.' "I...I'm Kouji," he introduced hastily. "I believe you were introduced as Subaru's pet Kouji," he reminded himself. "I'm not her pet though!" He then glanced around himself sheepishly and gave her a lopsided grin. "Am I in trouble? Kouji you're always in trouble," he answered himself. Niftyness Yui sternly stood in place, hands on her hips as she awaited for this man to explain himself. *Everyone in the Kitchen returned to their tasks, avoiding Yui andKouji, giving them room as neccessary...one servant cleaned up the mess from the spill Kouji had caused accidentally, but the kitchens were all but back to normal, the two being the only exceptions. - - - - - - - - - - - - - Meanwhile - - - - - - - - - - - - -Yue Kurine Nuriko sweatdropped at the display, slightly insulted by her comment about them. Had the warrior been able to read minds he wouldn't have agreed more with the man.
"Satisfied yet?"
He asked quizzically at her. If they did survive through this whole situation he would make sure to give her a firm smack for the kick she had delivered to him earlier... as well as all the stress and whatever else he could think of. He glanced around them, ignoring the stares they were recieving from the villagers- also noting the palace that was getting closer. Yuki_Yubari "Baka," Tasuki muttered to himself shaking his head. "You know what, if this Yui is so important to you then I'll go get her, I can do far faster and better than you!" He vanished with a great speed towards the palace leaving Nuriko to tend the foolish Miaka. He didn't know why he cared but he did, if Yui meant something then to Miaka then he was going to have to take her and bring her to the foolish baka because if Miaka went herself she'd probably only die from bloodloss or get captured. Meilichan Miaka blinked as Tasuki flew away. She was confused. Did he really think he'd get in? She looked at Nuriko and then looked down. She was still bleeding. It seemed heavier too. She stood up and walked towards Nuriko and fell to her knees next to him. She rested her head on him and closed her eyes.
"I'm...sorry..." she said to Nuriko. She had been causing him so much trouble since Tasuki came aboard. She wondered if Nuriko even saw her the same way anymore. So much was going on in Miaka's mind but she felt faint. *The assassin didn't realize what was going on until it was well too late. She had stabbed herself...She was going to possibly kill herself, over those two joining her at the palace. He was in shock to say the least. 'Apparently she doesn't realize that if she dies, we win...The kutou emperor will order and immediate invasion of Konan if he finds that the Suzaku no Miko is dead...' He thought to himself, laughing inwardly. However...he was still afraid of failing Nakago. It would be one thing if he killed her under orders, or if Nakago had specified them dead, but the other assassin/spy had said they were setting a trap...so it was assumed that the orders were form higher up.* "BAKA! Now you've got. her...him...off to the palace alone...that's going to cause problems for everyone! This won't accomplish anything..." *He searched his memory and motione dto Nuriko, still in female garb* "This way! There's a Kutou doctor who might be able to help her..." *He sped off towards the place wher ethe doctor would be, ahead ebnough to grab some guards and send the to the palace with a message for Nakago, and where to find him to return with a reply. The message... Suzaku no Miko with local doctor, injured. Should I finish her off? - - - - - - - - - - - - - Meanwhile - - - - - - - - - - - - -Korin-Chan [Amiboshi] The Boshi twin simply raised a brow in response to her question; he could have been openly rude but decided against it and attempted a more subtle, but not entirely subtle approach. "Soi, she insulted your 'master' - I sincerely doubt you will let that slide that easily will you?" He murmured and then turned his gaze upon the woman or where he thought the woman was however in the time in which he had taken to interrupt the conversation between the pair Subaru had vanished...yet he could still sense her for some strange reason.
Twirling his flute within his fingertips he pursed his lips and glanced around the garden, there was no way she could have escaped as both would have seen her walk passed them! In ways, he should have been irritated but he couldn't help but grin at the skill of the caster, he had to admire her in that respect. Korin-Chan [Subaru] Ah, such a foool the woman was! With a small smirk the Byakko seishi flipped up onto the wall with cat light grace, the bubble masking her from sight - Soi had aimed directly towards her wraith who had expertly leapt down the corridor in response to the attack; said wraith was capable of attacking and defending which did mean she was of significant threat to the guards within the palace as well as to the priestess but there were ways of dealing with her...
All that was requried was to disrupt her midstep by catching her in a corner, her very being would be obliterated if she was hit in her weakspot (a small area upon her shoulder) and she would be destroyed but it would take quite some time to figure that out - nevertheless, the Byakko seishi within her bubble flashed a triumphant smirk, a much larger one than before and smashed into Nakago's barrier.
She increased her pressure upon it at the exact same time as she forced the wraith to pulse with her energy - in ways she had cloned herself with the wraiths only exception being it's inability to cast magic. With the continual pulsing from both areas it would be difficult to pinpoint precisely where the seishi was heading unless you could see her - or at least until the energies against the barrier clashed in a penultimate finish.
Subaru's only goal however was to force herself out of the barrier and into Kutou, if she exerted enough pressure upon it and posed a threat to the priestess at the same time then Nakago would be forced to split his concentration making his barrier slightly weaker and so she pushed and pushed with every ounce of strength that she possessed. Opaaru Soi swore under her breath as the shadow ran. The Byakko woman was trying to escape, that much was certain. If she ran after the wraith, then she would leave the real threat behind, but if she went after the real seishi, then she would reveal her hand. Whatever she did one thing was certain, Nakago must not be distracted. He had entrusted this task upon her, and no matter how little that meant to him, it spoke volumes to Soi. Green eyes closed in concentration and rich black storm clouds began to engulf the skies. Their suppresive power would reinforce the barrier Nakago had set up, and within their turbulent mass would lie Soi's arsenal. *Nakago's eyes remaind closed. 'The battle lines are drawn...' He had sampled Subaru's power before. He was not concerned for himself or Yui. Within proximity of him, she would have to come herself to harm Yui. With only a residual desire to beat him, not a single minded all consuming desire...such mischief would not be enough. Already they had tried to stave him from his course of action...but their attacks upon him only strengthened his own reslove. They would face his wrath with that much more of his own pleasure once they had finished. He didn't bother focusing any more on the garden...at the distance, he was not positive whether she was actually returning, though he highly doubted it, or not. But he didn't put his focus more to the external barrier....she would find the very ones she came to save would soon be here..at the palace...and thus her escape would only be to their detrement. Besides...Soi and Amiboshi were both there...And though she might be able to evade them, the distraction was all that was needed for now. Though he still wanted to use Subaru for furthering his cause...he doubted any such thing might happen...on this trip anyway.*

Who's bright idea was it to drag the Suzaku no Miko into the CAPITAL of the enemy country?! He took a deep breath to calm his nerves. Fate had dealt him this hand and he was destined to be here. "This will not end well," he muttered under his breath. He then tipped his kasa over his eyes and hurried after Tasuki. Hopefully he would reach him before he got himself killed...or worse. Hmm, I wonder who this person could be?[/sarcasm]

Nuriko was still a state of shock as he watched helplessly. How could she do that to herself. They were almost at the palace and moderately close to her friend. Why did she sacrifice herself to save them? It should have been the other way around. He bent down close to her so only she could hear him.
"Miaka! Dont you dare kill yourself or Ill never forgive you for seperating me and Hotohori-sama and going on this pointless quest when your just going to commit suicide."
He tone was serious and his real voice, but it held deep concern for her. Before the assasian could flee, Nuriko grabbed him by the garbs with fast reflexes and drew him closer to the warrior.
"You had better not be taking us further into a trap or you'll find yourself no longer amoung the living."

He met eyes with Him and spoke after a small pause* "I had plenty of time to kill her between when I showed up and now, and have not. Trusting me is your best bet!"

Nuriko scowled as his words sunk in. Unfortunately he had a point, he didnt know Kutou and if anyone could get help for her, he most likely knew. All he knew was that they didnt have a whole lot of time to waste. Releasing the man again with a small push he bent down and scooped up the faint miko in his arms.
"Lead the way."
He said coldly, brushing a lock of stray hair from his face. He trusted Tasuki to be his brash self and most likely get caught. But he was a bandit, those guys never seemed to die.
After all the time wandering Konan in men's garb he had forgotten how awkward it was to travel in female clothing- especially now that he was carrying Miaka and trying to keep up with the assasian. Still, he pulled it off rather wall.

[Subaru]
With a brief hiss of pain, Subaru (the true Subaru) flashed into existance - her bubble popped and as she tore through the barrier around the palace with a great deal of difficulty her smirk grew; it was a triumph to savour for it had been a while since she had exercised her power under the influence of another deity but at last she pressed through. The barrier (taking this from Tamahome's shrine attempt in the anime) seemed to almost pull her back, ripping at her flesh and robes and yet if she persisted she was able to push her way forwards and at last onto the otherside.
Nevertheless, as she burst through the barrier she released an exhausted sigh and toppled from the wall into the bushes below, she knew she was in the middle of the city though and affording no time she took one glance at the wall of the palace and bolted towards a shadowed ally that she could remain in to rest before breaching the last of the barriers and finally escape Kutou.
She was uncaring as to which direction she would head in however, if she was of half her mind she would have returned to Sairou but whatever direction would suit provided she just got out.
[Amiboshi]
"Seems that you failed again Soi," Amiboshi murmured softly as he turned on his heel and began to saunter down the corridor once more, his mind wandering to the events that seemed to be unfolding before his very eyes - it wasn't that he was naturally snappy however under the strain of the two conflicting powers he had felt stressed, torn and not particularly comfortable.
Naturally, he was impressed by the strength revealed to him by the Byakko seishi; she was practiced in her art but as he trailed after the wraith he was startled to see that she had infact vanished - perhaps it had been when the bubble had been destroyed?
He simply didn't know and with a shake of his head he closed his eyes and sent a probing thought towards his brother - if there was one place he felt safe in, it was the presence of his brother...

Miaka faintly heard everyone talking around her. She tried to squirm out of Nuriko's arms, she didn't feel as if he should be holding her. She didn't understand why he would. She's done so much to him yet he's still loyal. Did he only do that because he was supposed to? Same with Tasuki. If she was just a normal girl, would they all still share the same bond?
"Nuriko, please let me down, I wanna get Yuichan..." she said. Now it wasn't just Yui she needed to get, she definatly still needed to help Subaru and now Tasuki. She caused so much trouble...and she hated herself for it.
Miaka still felt the sharp pain from the object stuck in her chest. Since Nuriko wouldn't seem to listen to her she lifted up her hand and pushed it in more. She felt hot and sweaty. She tried to rub her eyes slowly but couldn't shake off the blurriness from her eyes. She continued to squirm to be free.

Nuriko glanced down at her and frowned upon her statement.
"Would you just keep still for five minutes? Your not going anywhere now except to get help. Tasuki went to find Yui-chan for you. Now be a good girl and quit squirming."
He instucted, keeping his grip on her firm, but gentle. There was no way we was about to let her die. As a seishi herself, Subaru would understand and Yui would still be there when she did get better. This was all providing that the assasian really was taking them to some sort of help.

Miaka felt once again bad for what she did. Nuriko was still angry at her. She looked up at him and coughed alittle but managed to spit some more words out.
"You...call me an idiot...but your ten times worse Nuriko-kun" she said to him shaking her head and dropping it back. Now she was starting to feel the sharp pains from her wound.
"Why Nuriko? Why are you doing this? If they find out who you are they'll kill you. Is it because of your loyalities to Suzaku you stay with me?" was the real thing she meant to say to Nuriko but she couldn't find the courage. So she just repeated it in her head.

Kouji stared at the golden hair girl, he could sense her anger but why? Why did she have such contempt towards him and to Subaru as he'd noted earlier? "I'm sorry," he spoke plainly, pausing to let his words sink in. "I didn't mean to stuff my face. Yes you did Kouji. Well okay, I did but only because I was starving, if I hadn't been so hungry I wouldn't have been so rude. I'm not trying to mess up your plans, I don't even know what they are or who you are, I ended up here by accident. I came to Kutou to find my friend. So what is your name and why are you so angry? Nosy, nosy Kouji." He grinned. "You don't have to answer I guess, that's up to you." He shrugged.

Suboshi tensed up, he could sense his brother's call. He pulled up his sleeve and puled out a piece of chalk from his trouser pocket. Suboshi then wrote on his arm- 'I'm in the corridor near the kitchens'. He could feel his brother's anger and wondered what was wrong.

Tasuki approached the large palace in almost no time, he was about to enter when he spotted a woman lying nearby. She had long, pale purple hair and seemed to be unconscious. Tasuki stared down at her, he should help her but he wanted to get Yui for Miaka. He bent down beside the woman, taking off his long, black coat and placing it over her. "Are you alright?" He nudged her slightly. "I don't suppose you know a Yui," he muttered. 'Maybe if I just head in this woman will be alright for a few more minutes.'

[Subaru]
Subaru released a slight groan in reply to Tasuki's words before shaking her head and stumbling to her feet; the warmth provided by the coat was regenerative and eventually she released a sigh, following the man with her eyes for a few moments - he gave off a peculiar aura and she knew at once that like her, he was foreign to these lands and therefore unwelcome, "Yui does not want your help." She spoke at last, her tone strained through weariness.
She had been through ever so much and as she breathed in more deeply and observed Tasuki she shook her head, "There are barriers around that palace and if you attempt to enter then you will not get out alive," She warned, "It is advisable to leave the naive little wench to her fate," Subaru continued bitterly, averting her gaze as she began to move towards him, taking the opportunity to try and pinpoint the appropriate alleyways that she could hide in until such times as she was ready to run once more.
"She is controlled as though a puppet, she will listen to no one accept the shogun and I would advise leaving her as she is - get your friends to safety...it is the right thing to do, if she dies that is her choice and her seishis' failure, not yours."
[Amiboshi]
He felt the slight tingling sensation upon his arm and very calmly rolled up his sleeve, smiling fondly as he received the reply from his brother - ah, so he was close by and aware of his slightly younger twin's feelings. With a not, Amiboshi made his way in the direction that Suboshi had given him and released a sigh, swinging the flute around within his fingers as he went -
Naturally, he reached the appropriate corridors within a few minutes and his expression brightened as he approached the familiar face, "Soi failed; again." He added quickly, as if to explain why he felt somewhat agitated although he was more smug at her defeat than anything - he had never felt completely comfortable with any of his 'fellow' seishi.
"Peculiar opponent though." He murmured as an afterthought.

He barged in, his cloak drawn about him and some who were not deathly ill or otherwise oin the verge of death, cleared the place. The doctor was a bit suprised...but filled in quickly. A breif sensation, and it was done. She was out. Set enough against him, she was. "Nicely done..." He said to himself...rather to her to himself. He continued being seated when one of the servants made his way over to him and delivered the message from the assassin through the guard he had sent.*
"What a foolish girl...nearly killing herself for the sake of them...She is to meet with Lady Yui, so she must be tended to. Bring her and any Suzaku Seishi that might be accompanying her to the palace alive!"
*Now it was official the order had been given, and though deep down his warriors sense would have him have the assassin finish her off now, he would not do that to Yui. He would lose her confidence, her ambition...her promise to him.*
