Kenton Alkemi Aaah... Sometimes I don't understand why they change the names in some games... I've been playing the Japanese version of Brave Fencer Musashiden, and most of the names are different... so different that I can't even tell which person is which by looking at the staff list... Some of the names are food themed, but others aren't, unless there are weird katakana words for foods that I haven't learned yet. I'll list some of the name changes...
US -> JPN
Allucaneet Castle -> Yakuinikku Castle
Thirstquencher Empire -> Lu-cour Empire
Gingerelle -> Brandy
Rootrick -> Boldo
Scribe Shanky -> Scribe Harchinos
Mercenary Meitlofe -> Mercenary Meeno
Knitter Lunchetta -> Knitter A Lunch (as in combo A Lunch)
Hotelo -> Rent
Motelo -> Room
Barbara -> Ai
Kurt -> Lose (?)
And the weirdest...
Fusion -> Raikoumaru
Lumina -> Reigand
Assimilate -> Get In!
And a lot of others I can't remember at the moment... sweatdrop Well... Maybe they changed the names so they would make more sense in English... At least the voices are much better... (Princess Fillet isn't annoying!) The bold I don't mind with the change because either it was 1) Stupid sounding in Japanese and has a better American translation 2) DOn't matter either way (I.E. Both are dumb)

ACK!! What was I thinking?! It's Hilda! Hilda, not Barbara...! So Hilda -> Ai. Ahh... Haven't played the English version for such a long time... sweatdrop It's bad enough that both names are in Suikoden, too...

I don't know. Hilda sounds better than Barbara,or maybe it's because I know a girl name Hilda, and she is sexy as sin! Never seen a hot barbara yet
