Oh, but where were those souls? Hachi was confused - he'd been told it was fairly easy to find souls here. Perhaps they were simply good at hiding in the dark.

Hachi paced carefully, and then - well, no one was looking. He took off without much care.
That actually made it easier to scoop up the soul floating through the air there. How lovely!

It was back to a different, brighter desert: pinks and purples cast themselves across the sands like a fairy's watercolor. And there was a soul in front of him - he darted out to grab it carefully and pulled it with him to the Vocivus.
