Twisted_Misery angel_of_joy Twisted_Misery True that! By the way, I watched a movie called Austenland last night and it was great. It's about a woman that LOVES Jane Austen and she goes to a place that is all things Jane Austen and you can live like in those times. Unfortunately, it isn't real, but I think it's every Jane fan's dream. You should definitely see it. OMG I'll have to look for that. I've never even heard of something like that! I need that in my life! like now! The actress mentioned it on a talk show while promoting something else and I was like I NEED TO SEE THIS LIKE YESTERDAY OH LORDY LET ME SEE IT! I love this movie so much now. It makes me want to make this place exist for real. Like I need to get rich and create it. You could help me run it. ;3 OMG yes!! I would be delighted!!!

angel_of_joy It really would be the best job ever. Imagine how happy we'd be!!! Super happy and lucky. The outfits would get old though, especially the corsets. I'd rather be punched in the face than wear a dress, but for Austen, you sacrifice xD. We'd definitely be the more progressive female characters of hers' though.

Twisted_Misery angel_of_joy It really would be the best job ever. Imagine how happy we'd be!!! Super happy and lucky. The outfits would get old though, especially the corsets. I'd rather be punched in the face than wear a dress, but for Austen, you sacrifice xD. We'd definitely be the more progressive female characters of hers' though. Oh I totally agree about being progressive, but I can't agree on the dress. I have one. I made it myself for halloween one year. I'd wear it all the time if I could and I have a pattern for the period under garments and the 'corset' isn't really the one people thing about. It doesn't restrict the whole torso but it's basically a shorter thing - almost like a brah - but it laces up.

I bought a pink cotton that had a very small print on it so you have to be close to it to see it. And I made just a very simple costume to be Jane Austen for Halloween.

I had gloves, a hat and a shall, and shoes that all went together and my hair had ribbons in it and was all braided and pinned up. It was a good halloween but no one could guess who I was. I was Jane Austen.

Oh, lol, I see it now. I imagine those are hard to keep on even if you tie them tight for fear of strangling yourself xD.
