Amiboshi looked up back at the sky as they continued to walk away from the stream and back to the path. "Is it just me or is the sky growing darker the further we walk?" he asked out, finding that to be a bit odd. Now he was slowly beginning to worry, though he really did not know why he was so.

Soi could sense the twins coming closer, they were in plain view now. She gave a weary sigh. The seishi felt worn out, like a leather strap about to tear. Her eyes remained closed but her fingers slowly drew the ancient sword the tiniest bit from its sheath. There was no point in risking her life because she was caught unarmed.

Devils_Pet "I see, well then let us be off..once again...do you know if the other warriors have arrived in the capital?" Chichiri stood and followed the emperor out of the dinning hall. "I can't really tell no da. Perhaps, it's a large city. Demo there are too many people around, he or she will be hard to locate unless they're near."

Nakago Nakago watched Tomo's projections and took in all he felt he needed, expressionlessly. He only finally broke the meloncholly with a smirk as they reached the expected point along the road. Shortly after he smirked, muffled sounds could be heard just outside all around the carraige. Some thuds, a muffled scream or two and generally just sounds as if they were being attacked. In actuality, Nakago's assassins were doing their job as commended in the palace. All the soldiers and members of the envoy who were completely loyal to the Emperor were being removed from the picture. The last to go was the driver of their carraige...a small muffled gurgle and then he fell of the drivers spot to the side of the carraige. Each person replaced with one of Nakago's assassins. One rode up to the carraige and spoke."Everything done as you ordered Shogun." "Good. Continue on to Konan as planned, and send word to the troops to begin moving towards the border cities." When he figured Nakago was satisfied with the imagery, Tomo snapped Shin shut and returned the shell to his sleeve.
He showed no surprise as he heard the guards being snuffed out. He did quirk a curious brow. What were Nakago's plans? He would, of course, wait until Nakago felt the need to tell him. Again, he was a patient man. And, it would be fun to watch the doings of this brilliant and beautiful shogun unfold.
He laid his eyes on the unconscious bandit. It would be interesting to see how this new factor came into play.

Suboshi felt his brother's worry as it mingled with his own feelings of gradual frustration. Why was it so dark already? They were still on the road, and the growing darkness would just make their travels more troublesome.
"Yeah," he answered his brother, "What a pain!"
And then he felt it. Something tugging in the back of his mind. His normal senses were fairly well-trained for his age, but as far as a sixth sense or recognizing power, he was still lacking. Nevertheless, something was alerting his senses. It felt both familiar and foreign, and somehow Suboshi new that whatever it was, it was close. It was not something that scared him, but his heart began racing. He was feeling somewhat excited, and to a degree, frustrated with himself for not knowing why.
"Aniki..." he said slowly, voice barely a whisper, "What is this?"

Kouji slipped into a light slumber, let the morning bring what it would then. His hand remained on the hilt of his sword, twitching slightly as he rolled over onto his left side. The ground wasn't unpleasant for the bandit and the cool air was only slightly irritating but he was used to these conditions. Hopefully he'd get to say goodbye to Yui before he headed on his way to find a no doubt very pissed off Genrou.

Glancing above his head at the seal of Suzaku upon the city wall allowed him to steal a smile. It was in the city that he knew that the revered deity would take care of him not because he was in the city but because he had a very special something hidden on his forehead that only came out on very special occasions.
He gave a chuckle at this thought and after a few moments allowed his gaze to trail towards the Forbidden City in the very centre, his eyes fixed upon the high and thick walls that protected the Emperor and all of his...three thousand concubines? He had a sudden image of Douin yelling at him for making derogatory marks and gave a snigger.
"Now, what to do..." He mused as he pressed his heels against his mount's sides and kept his ears open for any signs of a job. So far, things were relatively quiet but patience was a virtue - yes?

Chiriko stared at his mark and gently rubbed it. Standing up, he continued walking toward the palace.
As he arrived, Chiriiko looked up and observed the magnificant sight which he saw. Never had Chiriko seen such a sight in his life. Sure, he heard of them but actually seeing it with his own eyes was just unbelieveable.
Still gazing, Chiriko heard some people talking which focused his attention over there. Guards standing, some laughing, some annoyed at the 'Newbie' guards, and some standing at attention.
"This will be harder then i thought." Thought Chiriko.

Nakago If one were painting the scene...it would be entitled "Children with Sweatdrops"...for that is what was created in a split second. Massive sweatdrops to match the nature of the comments put forth to them. "I told you she was weird..." "Hush you!" Hello Mi-ak-a. No...you are not dreaming us." "Hey...She is older...if she is with us we can stay out and play later!" "Eh?" Miaka blinked at the children's excited comments. "Well... I wouldn't mind playing with you, but, um..." she stood, stretching her back and glancing around the clearing. "Could you tell me where I am first? This doesn't look anything like Tokyo, and you..." her eyes trailed up and down the three oddly-dressed children. She grinned, sweatdropping slightly. "You don't really look like people from the suburbs, except maybe if you're otaku. But you're kinda young to be into cosplay..."
She stopped, realizing that she wasn't making any sense. Her stomach grumbled and she blushed. "Eheh... sorry if I'm sort of confusing you. I'm pretty confused myself."

Kouji, For now...Unless you want to wake up in the night...I think you can just wait...will be waking Tasuki soon....and Pristess...I am a bit lost as to exactly WHERE you are as far as bringing NPC's, please advise.Kitty Little When he figured Nakago was satisfied with the imagery, Tomo snapped Shin shut and returned the shell to his sleeve.
"It is time now to wake our sleeping guest Tomo. He will help to pass the time as we continue on to Konan."
Nakago took a moment to look at the plotted course of the journey...they would follow the same course which would have them pass through as few side villages as possible, without leaving the roads, which would cause unneccessary wear on the carraige.
They would be arriving in the first one shortly, but now would be the time to find out about this ruffian causing trouble in Kutou. Epine de Rose Glancing above his head at the seal of Suzaku upon the city wall allowed him to steal a smile. "Now, what to do..." He mused as he pressed his heels against his mount's sides and kept his ears open for any signs of a job. So far, things were relatively quiet but patience was a virtue - yes? Dark and scurvy figures loomed in the shadows, though more peacefull and without the torment of Kutou, Konan had thugs and the like of its own. Watching an unsuspecting prey...or at least they thought, they began to strategically position themselves around the area to jump him. One stepped out in the middle of the path ahead and knelt as if looking at something. Rihga "Eh?" Miaka blinked at the children's excited comments. "Well... I wouldn't mind playing with you, but, um..." she stood, stretching her back and glancing around the clearing. "Could you tell me where I am first? She stopped, realizing that she wasn't making any sense. Her stomach grumbled and she blushed. "Eheh... sorry if I'm sort of confusing you. I'm pretty confused myself." "Yay! We get to play longer!" The youngest child grabbed her by the hand and started "dragging" her along. The oldest overheard the excessive stomach grumble and noted: "We ought to take care of that before we ask to play later...lets head back home" The third one ran off ahead to let the adults know they were coming and would want to be out playing later. It would only be a short walk back to the village.

She was about to remind them that she'd asked some fairly important questions, but the mention of food made her keep quiet for the moment. She could figure things out later, when she wasn't too hungry to think.
She giggled to herself. 'Yui-chan would scold me for having that kind of attitude...' she thought, then the realization of her words struck and she jerked to a halt, eyes widening. "Oh my gosh... Yui-chan! That book was open when I went over, and she wasn't anywhere around... hey, kids!" she grabbed one by the shoulders, leaning down so she was almost nose to nose with him. "Have you seen another girl around here in funny clothes, with short hair and blue-green eyes? This is really really important, so please try to remember!"

That move had been rather odd...he could only raise a brow in response as he politely drew his steed to a halt and shook his head at the man who appeared to have lost something on the ground but then again as he was wandering along he hadn't seen anything upon the dusty cobbles now had he?
"Looking for something?" He asked curiously as he canted his head to the side and lowered his brow again so as not to appear to 'cocky' despite his evident suspicion of the man - seriously, did this idiot honestly expect him to believe that he had suddenly lost something on the ground, right in his path?
Then again, a glimmer of hope flickered through his mind and he mentally grinned; maybe this guy wanted to hire him to do some work!

"Eep!...No...you are the first person with funny clothes that I have ever seen in my whole life." The other kids, stopped temporarily due to her sudden change of tone from laxidazical to serious, simply nodded in affirmation of what the first had said. "Come on...we are almost home!" - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Epine de Rose That move had been rather odd...he could only raise a brow in response as he politely drew his steed to a halt and shook his head at the man who appeared to have lost something on the ground but then again as he was wandering along he hadn't seen anything upon the dusty cobbles now had he?

The first man was a decent enough actor, which was why he was the one used to stop wayward travellers. "I seem to have lost an earring. I got a specil set of them for my wife, and on the home, a carraige came hurtling towards me...I dodgend out of the way, but found that one of the earrings was missing..., perhaps you could help me find it?" He had an earring that looked precious enough, tucked away in his pocket, should the traveller ask to see what it looked like...either way...the whole tactic was to delay him until the others were in place to jump him...and then, it would be too late. The others were already moving tinto position.

So when he heard his brother, he knew exactly what he was talking about. But he did not said a word yet as he closed his eyes, trying his best to sense where this sudden surge was coming from. But he too was lacking at training, so it did not go so well.
He soon reopened his eyes and looked around, spotting a figure over in the short distance. His gut feeling told him that whatever was going on, that person was connected to it. "Who's that?" he whispered back, his eyes trying to focus to catch a better view of the person up ahead.
