Thanatos new what was happening almost immediately, for he was gauging Naku's reaction. So this was the way in which he able to defend himself, severing someone's connection to the force. Thanatos had a very extreme back-up plan regardless of what was to happen to him. He would continue this pissing match. He extended his arm towards Tetro, drawing upon the dark-side he infused one of his bolts of lightning only this time he infused with Sith magic. If Naku did not stop his severing force technique, then Tetro would die. For Tetro would not only see it coming, but also it would have the speed of true lightning. As well as killing him instantly if it were to hit, with his infusion of sith magic it would also destroy Tetro's soul beyond repair.
Now Naku had a choice, would he continue and allow Tetro to die for the sake of proving his point or would he stop and remove himself from Thanatos. Naku was too engrossed in his severing force technique to stop Thanatos. Would Naku really bargain someones life for the sake of a trivial point? That was the question.

Tetroneaque wasn't aware of what was going on across the room from him, not even aware of what Thanatos and Naku were doing. The Kit'aru simply smiled up at Hoshi, happy with his small success. He was busy trying to send the little pebble back to the floor where he'd first lifted it from with the force. The idea that his very life might be in danger hadn't even occurred to him yet. The small pebble was hovering again as Tetroneaque started to send it back, his eyes closed in concentration and his tails thrashing about behind him.

Hoshi partially watched Tetro and partially watched what Naku and Thanatos were doing. She did not like Thanatos even before Tetro came. Thanatos seemed to like messing with Tetro and that bugged her. Since Tetro had his eyes closed concentrating he could not see the almost glare she was giving to Thantos her hands ready to act if needed. She was starting to get protective of Tetro.

Naku was aware of what was going on as soon as he felt the surge of negative energy. Severing their connection to each other was the only way to stop it. That or killing Thanatos. However, this was as much a test as a practice for both of them. Naku could tell that Thanatos wouldn't mind killing Tetro, he never much liked him. Naku was not going to allow Tetro to die for the sake of training. It would seem that Naku was being tested by Thanatos. This amused Naku, which showed that Thanatos had great potential, if only he was willing to accept the Outcast Code.
Killing Thanatos would be easy, all he had to do was sever his life force from the force, both cutting him from the force, but also training his life force in the process, something Naku has never done. The damage Naku did to Thanatos was easily repairable, given time if Naku was to disconnect now, but instead, he undid what he did, reconnecting his eyes to the force, then with an abrupt end to the connection, Naku severed his connection to Thanatos, and Thanatos' connection to him at once. This would push both Naku and Thanatos away from each other as if they both pushed each other lightly with the force. Naku was prepared for it and slide a few feet back from Thanatos. If Thanatos was unprepared, he would also slide a few feet back, though he would be on the ground instead of standing.
"Good job, Thanatos. You are indeed a gifted one in the force. I look forward to many more training sessions with you." Naku said, feeling his arm better.

Thanatos was monitoring his life force well enough to understand Naku's moves within his body. Time after time he was able to understand the body's perceptions by doing the same thing to others as Naku was doing to him. Tetro would have died. Thanatos would have let the bolt fly as soon as Naku made any more moves towards his body. Naku looked smug. Thanatos let the deception run. Naku did not notice that Thanatos had more than one life in his body. He would have only killed his master's life force. The life force that he had absorbed and stolen. Of course he felt the bump of disconnection, however Thanatos drained the energy before him. It did not move Thanatos a inch. He said back, "Yes, I believe I have another technique on my list to learn, oh master." The last part of his sentence had more of a mocking tone.
Then he noticed he was being glared at by the slave. he said, "Oh something other than that mask you put on. Such a splendid form of emotion, the anger I see in you. I hope you can provide other faces besides that vulnerable mask that I always see...slave." An evil smile curled on his lips.

"You should put the word former in-front of that last word. If you like it so much shall I reserve it for you." Hoshi's words were to the point and had a mock cheerfulness to them. " The last person that took a liking to it no longer holds a claim to anything."

Thanatos chuckled at her response. He said, There is no 'former'. I see you for what you are. You are a slave mentally. Your mask shows that you are vulnerable. Regardless if the last person who owned you is no longer here. The damage remains. You reek of emotion. The facade that you bring up, for that is what it truly is, shows how much of a slave you are. Your trauma is self-evident. Please continue to further prove my point and go back to that poor excuse of a mask. Or you can continue to show and rely upon your anger to cast away your chains. Other-wise, slave will not just be your name, but your title."
Thanatos was not fooled. He could tell that she was vulnerable emotionally. Her response only assured him. To Thanatos she looked worse than the creature did right in front of him. For Tetro chose to change, while the slave remained vulnerable behind her defense. It spoke volumes of her mentality. The more she talked, the more knowledge to be gained to dominate and manipulate.

She did not even reply to him verbally though the words did sting but she did not let to show. She officially decided that she did hate Thantos and would not care if he disappeared.

Tetroneaque furrowed his brow as all the negative emotions in the room were actually affecting his concentration on the small stone. His ears twitched as he listened to the conversation. It seemed Thanatos had a certain knack for getting on people's bad sides. The Kit'aru wondered if Thanatos actually got some sort of enjoyment out of making others upset. Tetroneaque could tell that Thanatos' words had upset Hoshi somewhat, of course who wouldn't be upset about being called a slave or even reminded of being a former slave?
"Don't pay him any mind Hoshi, why don't we continue with our training instead?" Tetroneaque suggested cheerfully, trying to get her mind off Thanatos. In truth he really did appreciate Hoshi's help and so far he really only trusted her and Janlu, as they'd been the only ones to really stand up for him.

"Sorry for messing with your concentration Tetro." She said her face back to normal. Hoshi turned her back to face Thantos as she called one of the larger boulder from a different groups of weights to her. It landed behind her and she sat with her back to it. "As you get stronger you can play games with these. Even throwing then to a partner like playing catch. Of course with the right partner so you don't hurt each other for no reason. For now we should stick to the basics till they are mastered better." She thought for a moment. "Later we could practice aiming a projectile since throwing the object using the force is one of the next steps.

Thanatos seeing her reaction said, "Ah, going to back to your roots I see. Fine continue using that blatant form of a mask. Understand however that it only proves that you will not move on from your ordeal as someone else's slave. You will continue to rely upon others for your defense, not realizing that you are just a emotional hindrance. Oh yes, you suit training that pet perfectly. You both cannot function without siphoning off other peoples help. And the reason why you cannot say anything back to me and try to ignore me is because you know it to be true."
Thanatos meant every word he said. He saw weakness. Worse. He saw weakness that had no intention of changing itself.
He said to Naku: "I am impressed. I did not realize that such a defense was available. Thank you for letting me bear witness to it."
Thanatos would not forget what Naku did. He had the power to sever the force. Thanatos who had seen Naku at action would now file the information and use it for himself later on. The only thing he required was training, and he knew exactly how to train himself. With a grin, he left the force training room and headed towards his lab.

"You didn't mess up my concentration Hoshi." Tetroneaque said with wide eyes and his ears perked up as he tried another smile, and actually managed to get it to look halfway right. If he practiced this 'smiling' thing enough he might just get the hang of it by the end of the month! "And those other exercises sound like they'd be interesting and helpful in mastering this new skill. Thank you for taking the time to teach me instead of just belittling others like some people." He added, referring to the person who'd just left the room.
"Frankly it baffles me how any of you can stand to be around that fellow. He acts so churlish and needlessly aggressive to everyone I've seen him interact with. What is his actual rank around here?" The Kit'aru inquired, knowing his own rank much be at the bottom since he was so new to all these training techniques and the Force in general.

"I tried to find a way that I could have a little fun while training to trying to compensate for what I never got to do before coming here. No problem, thanks for letting me teach." She later added "I just think of him as a scar that has not fully healed yet. I try not to pick at it. I believe he is still an apprentice but as to what level I am not sure."

Dremora walked into the room, passing Thanatos and his evil grin. As to what he was up to, Dremora did not care. He searched room, giving greetings to everyone. Tetro, Hoshi... he nodded with respect to the both of them. He then sought out Master Naku, and gave a small respectful bow. Master Naku, I wanted to inquire as to what lessons in the Force you could have for me. He waited with his hands behind him on the small of his back.

It seemed odd that someone who was only an apprentice could get away with such behavior, as it was setting quite a bad example for everyone else. Luckily no one else seemed inclined to behave in such a fashion, which Tetro was quite grateful for. "All my teachers back home always said I was a good student. I hope to keep that trend going here too." The Kit'aru said, his ears twitching with excitement. He waved toward Dremora after being greeted, returning a greeting of his own. "Hello again Dremora."
Tetroneaque then took a deep breath and concentrated on the small rock, the one that was a little larger than the first pebble. This time he didn't close his eyes and instead of just stared at the stone, he willed it to come toward him. In response the little stone wiggled a little and fell over. At least it was some progress, so he continued to stare at the stone... trying to get it to levitate to him like the pebble had. It was a lot harder even though the stone was only a bit larger than the first one. Soon he was panting, but the stone was finally starting to levitate and come toward him. After another minute or two he finally managed to get it all the way to his outstretched hand.
"That... was harder... than I thought... it would be." He stated in between breaths as he held the small rock in his hand. It wasn't heavy at all, but it had taken a lot more concentration to lift it and bring it toward him. He had a long way to go to move the large boulder Hoshi had moved so effortlessly earlier.
