"I see." Hirose said to Saito before he finished healing and left. He was about to continue his explanation to Sanari but then a guard came in and told him there was some suspicious activity going on at the gates. The Raikage nodded and glanced to his left. Outside the window, the real Raikage dashed off for the gates.

Sanari Yanashi Sanari looked below to see the artistic work on display, but she was not impressed. THeses were just just scare tactics for the Raikikage to use in order to control his shinobi. Sanari wouldn't be apart of that.
"I would love to jin this village but I will not part take in your masks. You may be able to fool other ninjas, but I am well educated. These were masks used many years ago during the great Shinoi war. Rulers placed masks on to their mercenaries to hold control over them. I will not wear a mask for you to be vindictive and control my spirt or soul.

Hirose rested his head on a hand, the action allowing his hood to rise up enough for Sanari to see his eyes. He sighed and one of the masks floated up out of the box, turning slowly in the air. "Sanari, what do you think this mask is?"

Sanari Yanashi "I told you, the mask is a tool for a leader such as yourself, to use to control shinobi and exploit them with the threat of death." Sanari looked into the eyes of the Raikikage and stood strong.

Hirose's eyes never tore away from Sanari. "I have never done such a thing. I could never call myself a leader of this village if otherwise. Fear is not control, but a disease that would infect this land, poison its soul, and ultimately destroy its people." His emotionlessly yet sharp eyes seemed to suddenly glow, like a fire was lit in them. "The "Akumetsu Mask" is a token of honor in this village, not very different from other village's forehead protectors. They show who we are, and what we stand for, and thus they are meant to be worn with great pride."

"Each shinobi is told through their actions." he corrected her. "And the mask is not forever. When you are strong, you will dispose of it. In the meantime, I offer a compromise, should you be willing to listen to it."

Hirose looked away from Sanari to watch Vesta leave. His expression saddened a bit. Ever since he became Raikage they'd been getting to spend less and less time together. He reached up and tugged down on his hood before glancing back to Sanari. "Despite my position of Kage, in order to prove to you that this village is not run through fear, I will wear the Akumetsu mask with you. I'll give you the remote to my mask, and as usual I'll be in control of yours."

((Probably nothing, don't sweat it. Being Raikage really does cut out personal time, especially when you don't have any jounin or sannin to look after everybody.))

Hirose nodded and opened another drawer on his desk. He picked up the mask that was there and slowly slid it over his face. A small device with a button on it lifted itself up from the desk and zoomed over to Sanari. It was pretty obvious that it was the device to set off the Raikage's mask. The hood and skeleton-patterned mask combined to completely shadow his facial appearance.
