Haldir shook his head, "I... I do not know..." In truth, the Lorien Elf could not tell if his friend was even alive. Pale features, closed eyes, and the growing pool of blood beneath him all spoke of death. "That sword may be the only thing keeping him alive." Thranduil replied, "We need to wait for Sallia or Sario, to keep him safe in this chaos. I fear that if we pull the sword from his body, it may do more harm than good."

Haldir knelt next to Aras, putting an arm around her, "Do not despair. Evil seeks this realm out because we stand against it."

Legolas still had not stirred, and it was beginning to seriously worry Haldir. Thranduil had already hit the worry point the moment the sword had entered his son's body. Now, lying on his stomach with Aras' cloak nestled under his head, both the Elvenking and the Marchwarden began to wonder if they should indeed remove the blade. "Hir nin." Haldir said, looking to the elder Elf while still hold Aras gently, "Perhaps it would be best to remove the sword." Thranduil sighed, "I do not know. I am no healer. I simply do not wish to cause any further damage."

she sighed, "if we remove the sword we can stop the bleeding with some water bandages and stitches, i am no healer either but i do not think leaving a sword embed in his stomach is a wise choice

"What I am worried about is if any organs have been pierced." Haldir replied. "I mean, yes they would be torn and leaking, but if we remove the sword, it would be like taking a stopper out of a bottle, meleth. It could make it worse. That is why we need a healer." he added. "Besides," the Elf whispered so Thranduil could not hear. "The king is trying to staunch the bleeding without removing the sword. Yes, Legolas still bleeds and will until the wound is closed, but the sword it stemming the flow." Thranduil was doing just that with his own cloak. He had it wrapped tightly around the sword, where it entered his son's back, and was keeping pressure on it with both hands.

Alandis walked up to the group of elves, kneeling down next to Thranduil. She did not push aside the king, but used her own hands to apply pressure to the critical points around the blade. Her head was bowed, long brown strands of hair falling over her blue and green eyes, hiding the tears that were welling up. The Healer had become frustrated to the new turn of events, and she did not want anyone else to see. She was the support in the time of war, and the others were helping the victims deal with minor burnings. THey could nothing for those who were lost the fire that was still alive and consuming the city. Things were not meant to be this way. Legolas laid there, a sword protuding from his back. From this view, she could guess that it barely missed his liver, but possibly punctured a kidney. Yes, removing the sword was the worst thing to do now. Yet she couldn't turn him over to stop the bleeding from his abdomen. Instead she pulled what little supplies she had left in her bag, her hands working furiously as she let them take a mind of their own.
Sario dropped her own sword a minute after the Balrog had been dead. She couldn't let her guard down, but finally she could no longer hold what was burning her hands. An old and familiar stench reached her nose as she gazed down to the blisters upon her palms and fingers. Her skin had turned a clear white, and she did her best not to flex that particular area. Turning, she slowly approached where Legolas lay, aided by his friends an a Healer.

"Is there anything we can do to aid you?" Haldir asked Alandis, watching her furiously work. "Anything at all?"

"I'm trying to keep the bleeding controlled..." the woman gasped, stopping to rub her eyes with the back of her hand, as she continued on. "I want to get the sword out but this requires surgery and we are not in the right place, nor time to do it." Finally, Alandis sighed as she cursed. "Someone get Sallia, now. She will be the one to heal him, as it seems that I cannot."

Haldir nodded, rushing back to where Sallia and Xarik'n where. Thranduil meanwhile, looked to Sario. "Can you lend him some aid, if you have any strength left?"

Sario focused her eyes on Thranduil, before she nodded her head, taking another step closer to them. Stretching her arms, she summoned up her energy. This time though, she was without Sallia's necklace and could not help heal the prince. But she would lend him strength to survive, long enough until his wife would come. Glowing gently, she let her light encompass the blonde elf and held it there.

Legolas' eyes opened due to the added energy. He did not know where he was, nor what had happened, but he could clearly see the Maia above him. "Sario?..." he whispered, not even feeling the pain of his wounds. "Did you... did you kill it?"

"Yes," Sario responded, her features softening as she kept her energy pouring into Legolas. "It is gone, Legolas. Just rest now, Sallia will be here to help you in a minute. All is well..."
