Ok, I played Nintendo DS. They need to modify the controls a little bit better. My hands get really tired playing for awhile. The touch pad is a just a little off to reach, but if not use intensively it is fine. I don't recommend playing fast action games on the DS. The screen is too small to show the complex enviorment of a good FPS. You will need to get used to the touch pad in order to do good shooting. Personally I find a hard time co-ordinating the shooting using my thumb and keeping the handheld stable. You will need to rest your hands on the table or get some support for your machine or hands, otherwise you will get tired in no time.
After having said that, the touch pad sure is a new innovation to handheld industry. I do recommend this for slower pace games or turn base games. I don't really like the experience of a fast action game on this toy so far, but for some people this is a good option for them to be able to carry their favorite games around and play at any time.
Overall, this is still a great handheld there is nothing like it in the market.
smile Lets hope software companies make some fantasic games for it.
In Addition: Here is a link to Wi Fi information on Nintendo DS. If you are planning to get wireless connection make sure you get g. As the link explained. This is a nice site for any Animal Crossing fans too. enjoy.
http://aco.bettapal.com/acdswifi.shtmlAfter reading a few forums there are saying some companies are planning to install hot spot for DS in some cities of Japan. If that goes well, we might see this happen in Amercia too. *cross finger*
