Vence listened as te man went on with the poem(speaking quite elegantly), walking over to Lucifer. She had spotted him first, and had gotten his attention as she waved them over - he and Cassandra.
"How are things for you, Lucifer, and how are you this fine evening Lyna? I see mommy letting you stay up tonight," he said with a grin. Before he continued further Vence decided it was best to start introductions.
"Cassandra, This is Lucifer, and her daughter Lyna. She helped greatly in the battle with some of her magic, I heard," Vence commented, glancing over to Lucifer to see if he was correct.

Aron tried to not move, the horse was a heavy animal and one step on him and he is dead. He tried to keep it calm and tried to move away from the horse without waking its attention. He felt how the liquid in his skin burned and he really was afraid of using his fire skills. If someone could help him before the plan was going to success and the evil fairy will steal more teeth

Lucifer smiled and nodded at Cassandra as she was introduced, unaware of who's daughter she was, and so completely relaxed. Lucifer's small wings were wrapped and hidden under an elegant cloak.
"A pleasure to meet you." Lucifer siad, holding out a hand which Cassandra shook with a smile.
"I'm doing fine, thankyou - I'm just glad things are back to normal. It's certianly a relief. Lyna bugged me to hear Beowulf, and I admit I really enoy the poem. My father used to tel it to me on halloween."
she smiled fondly at the memeorie, and Lyna winced at a particularily gory detail in the poem. Her attention was briefly caught by Vence, but she kept looking back at the reciter every couple of seconds, following the story with intense interest.
"Hi mister Vence, miss Cassandra." She said politey with a slighty tried msile, and then looked back at the reciter again. She didn't take her eyes off the reciter agian, but carried on talking.
"Mummy siad I can stay up aaaaall night, if I do all my chores tomorrow."
Craban looked around and saw Azriel moving out with his horse. Unable to find Aron around the lower reaches of the crowd or courtyard, he headed towards the stable, assuming that he might ahve decided to put hismelf forwards for a joust. It seemed lie the kind fo thing he'd do without much thought. It wanst long before he found him.
"Crap! Aron what the hell happened?"

[heh heh, not to worry, I'll just have to get on Gaia the INSTANT I get home...around 2:30]
Vence chuckled when Lyna spoke about staying up all night. He had to admit that he had never had that liberty, even on special occasions, when he was a child. Sure, he would secretly stay up all night from time to time, but actually being allowed to, that was another story.
"Well, that's kind of your mom." Leaning closer, he spoke in a half whisper.
"Be sure to thank her again, or you might not be able to stay up for a while."
He cast a look over to Cassandra, still smiling, then watched the reciter.
"I've always been good with kids, for some reason. And older people. Never people my age. Kids and their simple logic, which still confuse us sometimes, and adults with their wisdom. As for teenage years, well, it's just plain stupidity most of the time."

Lucifer laughed.
"It's a good skill to have. Teenagers can be irritating anyway, presnet company excluded. I know I was a handful when i was your age."
she then smiled ot herlsef, amazed at how old she thought she sounded. It felt like just a few weeks ago when she was Cassandra's age and running around fighting monsters with her husband-to-be and their friend. Now....
she stroked a hand trhough Lyna's hair and the girl settled back in her lap now that the scrier oparts of the poem were temporarily over.

Azriel looked at Agami.
"So i'm to fight you? I had hoped for an easier contestant first." he gave a good natured laugh and circled with his horse. "I'll amke sure not to harm you too badly when i knock you off your beautiful horse."

"Well, you're more mature than most." Lucifer said, and Cassandra nodded enrgetically.
"Besides, how old is that Felix? Or that Renten boy? They're not to far apart form you, surely."
Lyna tried to stifle a yawn, afraid that any sign of tiredness would end up in Lucifer sending her off to bed.

"Of course." Azriel lowere dhis own face plate and reaider himslef, trying to make hsimelf as strong a spossible to absorb the hit. he eyed Agami, readying his aim, and quickly fussed his horses' ears.
The horse kicked at the ground a little, and the horn sounded. With a gallop he was off and charging towards Agami...

Agami Came chargeing. his sheild to his side leaveing his chest plate exposed and his lance wasent aimed at Azriel. Take the bait he said in his mind.

Craban untied Aron and shooed the hroses out of his way. he pulle dhim up.
"What in Lolth's happening?" he demanded, very tense now. Something was up - majorly.
Azriel willed his horse to greater speed and made sure his lance was firm. Agami wasn't on the ball as much as he should have been, and Azriel was sureit was a trap. Agami was too good a rider to amke a rookie mistake like the one he was now.
But, after all what else could he do? he hardeened himself for the blow, but then galnaced down as his saddle shifted about erratically. He half lowered his lance to try and hold on, but the horse carried on charging forwards with it's unstable rider...

An Arcani appered on the back of Azriel horse he said quickly. "Some ones tampered with your saddle. Do you wish me to lend you a hand?"

Azriel, too alarmed to ask how the hell the Arcani got onto his horse, nodded quickly.
"Yes, yes!" he exclaimed, aware that there wasn't much time left and that he was only hoding on by the skin of his teeth.
Not waiting for an answer, Craban ran outside to the stadium and looked around, dragging Aron behind him by the wrist. He looked around - his eyes keen in the darkness- and spotted the culprit. The suspicious hooded man was secluded.
he frowned and withdrew a dagger, running off after the man who had given him the moon-stone. he wanted answers, and if thsi man wasn't the one responsible for whatever trouble was happening he'd eat his hat.
