Hikari smirked a little at that, sure that Genkai would probably give Hiei some sort of lecture when he went out. "...Did you really like it?" She asked after a moment, turning her head only slightly to glance at Hiei with an arm covered eye, referring to the dagger that she had gotten him for his birthday.

"What else did you get?" Hikari was actually trying to make conversation which was rare, since the girl generally enjoyed her silence. She was starting to come out of her tightly knit shell just a little bit with Hiei.

Hiei shifted a bit. " Nothing Actually. I always told everyone not to ever but me stuff. The Fox took me for that beach food and got me a new bag for Work." The fox said and moved scratching his head a little. " Yuskue took me out for a drink and That's really about it." Hiei said looking at Hikari. . . Hikari was the only one to get his a gift.

Hikari was a little surprised by that. She figured the whole group who knew that it was Hiei's birthday would actually get him something. Apparently not. "Oh..."

"I don't make it easy for people to buy me stuff. I really don't like it normally. I know The others used to do it all the time. . .But I never saw the point in it." Hiei said laying there rolling to his back a bit. " The Dagger and the bag are useful. But other things I got I never saw a point in it and normally wasted away." The fire demon said. " Of course I asked mostly everyone this year not to get me anything." Hiei mumbled.

Hiei chuckled a bit. " Good." The fire demon said and shook his head. " You'll understand why that is enough for me sooner or later." Hiei said as he stood up and patted his pants. " What's wrong fox?" Hiei asked.
" Genkai says you can eat and then need's help with a few more things." The fox said and shifted a bit with a chuckle. Hiei yawned a little and patting the back of his pants. " Yeah whatever." The fire demon said.

Hikari raised an eyebrow at Hiei, extremely puzzled and confused. She'd never seen this side of Hiei before other than when he tried to be nice to her when she was upset. It was strange for Hikari to see.

Hiei shifted a bit and nodded. " Is there food even left over?" The fire demon asked and Kurama nodded. " There's a plate in the microwave for you waiting." The fox said with a nod. " Hey Hikari.' Kurama said with a nod and looked at Hiei who turned to leave." That white phone of yours started to ring by the way." The fox added.
