His head hung over the chair his legs on the back, he looked at Bastet with confused eyes.

"Wait you're leaving? Already? But i just met you!"

"Er training? uh... he heh hahaha... well i really actually you know kinda didn't train." And as he said that he rolled out of the chair and back onto the floor his head resting on his arm on the soft velvet carpet.

Kasis laughed nervously. Is she a mind reader like that angel?

"Heh, how'd you know? It was the first time i did really..." He became quiet, kinda confused at the situation.

"Someone, someone is coming after you? Someone more powerful than you? And why would it be a burden when, when you're family is helping you?" Kasis smiled slightly. He really didn't think he was part of this strange family yet, but everyone else seemed so much more closer, this was his image of a family, no matter how weird the people were.

"No, i guess you cannot call that family. But those who fight for you, they are your family. But of course, what am i to say, i never had one, it is but my ideal image of one."

He rolled over onto his back and stared up at the ceiling following the intricate patterns of the tiles. Kasis sighed softly, no he did have someone, himself. But that really doesn't count as someone. Still he felt somewhat sympathatic for Bastet, she (and Saradin) were the one that chased after him and looked after him. So maybe it was time to return the favor.

"If-if it's any consolation, i'd help protect you."

Kasis would've answered something like, I didn't help with anything, you figured it out yourself. or It was no problem anything to help someone who's helped me. but he was fast asleep. His hands were behind his head and his snores came softly. He murmured something about a thanks but wasn't too clear. He rolled onto his side and continued to dream about the family he never had, and the family he was now apart of.

Aura was standing in what seemed to be complete darkness, eyes closed tight and teeth gritted, her hands clenched into fists. It hurt, but she wasn't going to let that get the best of her. She had felt worse pain than this. She began to walk through said plane of darkness, the air itself seemingly thick to walk through.

The pain increased itself and she opened her eyes and then the darkness was gone, seeing as the shadow she had been using ended abruptly by candle light. She shook her head and straightened her hair, then quickly made her way from her room.

As usual it was quiet, as it was usually around dusk. The night owls weren't' up yet, and those on regular sleep schedules were just starting to retire.

Aura turned to see Bastet, first of the night crowd to come out. "Evening Bastet, I'm feeling better, thank you." Movement caught her eye and she looked down to see a cat at Bastet's feet. She looked back up to Bastet. "A cat?"

"Kepi? But..." Aura simply let it go and smiled. Unconditional love from a companion was good for the soul. Apparently Bastet had actually found herself a true Kepi, and maybe now wouldn't have to hide behind that persona any longer to ease her pain. She reached a hand out and patted the cat's head. "You're right about that Bastet. He's a cute one...where did you find him?"

Aura laughed at the cat's antics and smiled again. "I see he's a lot like you in many way. And of course he takes a liking to me, I'm Egyptian. Cats take to us like fish take to water."
