"Busy?"

Wei was usually more astute. He was usually more aware of another person's feelings. He had long since learned to recognize the subtle shift in heart rates and breathing patterns and the way someone's eyes would fall away in an almost concerned manner. He had learned to look for certain triggers, an accelerated heart rate, blood pounding so fast that it almost hurt to listen. Wei used to terrified of the ways the human body could change so quickly probably because his mother seemed to just snap for no apparent reason. He was rarely on the receiving end of any sort of conerned expression because he had, too, learned to keep people at a distance, but that was a thought for another time when his head wasn't killing him.

Maybe it was because he had knocked his head pretty hard. Or maybe because he was so skittish that he couldn't clearly focus on Ea and the soft changes in his figure. Raking a hand through dark hair, the snake gripped at the side of his head. Maybe it was the pain. His head couldn't process so many feelings and senses, nor the way Ea smelled, which was quickly driving him mad because part of him wanted to just curl up and-- Breathing a little quicker than normal, Wei muttered something under his breath a few times over before looking up a little, green eyes squinting at the bright, florescent lighting in the hallway.

Whatever it was that was playing with the snake's head, it didn't really matter what had caused it but rather what it was making him miss, was aiding in Wei's disoriented expression. He missed that change in Ea, the way his eyes darkened and the way he forced out a breath. Wei caught the irritation in the younger male's voice but failed to realize the way the mongoose caught himself from saying something...something...something about him.

"Look, I know you're busy and I'm sorry. I shouldn't have ********' brought him back here, an' I know you were going to have people over. I just wasn't thinking and, I mean, I know we're... I mean, I know I shouldn't assume I can just...stop in but I--" He was panicking. He didn’t know what he was supposed to say. He didn’t know what Ea wanted to hear. Was he mad? Was Liao really okay? Sucking in a breath, Wei continued, “I’ll get him out of here in a second so you can get back to…whatever you need to do for…for your party and—“ His expression faltered a bit. “Yeah…yeah, I’ll just call a cab or something,” the snake murmured to himself, trying so hard to think through what he needed to do. Perhaps the pain was waning; perhaps Wei had finally begun to get a grip and started to realize just how pathetic he was sounding. So, when he went to get up he did it slow as to not pitch in some random, unintended direction, but tried to get up not quite so slow that Ea would question. Pressing twitchy fingers into his back pockets, the snake walked, at a ginger pace, back to the mongoose’s apartment. He stopped for a moment as he reached the door. He knew his hands were a little shaky, but Ea was probably still far enough away to not see, right? Opening the door with a jumbled twist on his arm, the snake shoved the door open with a little too much force in his haste, tumbling forward with lack of grace that was so very uncharacteristic of him. Righting himself before he could too any damage, the snake brushed hands over his coat with a sigh.

Black eyes snapped up at that word, a mix of feelings spreading instantaneously upon his features. The first one was surprise -- what the hell was Wei saying? And then there was confusion -- busy with what? But, of course, Ea could guess easily enough.... Which led to anger. True, he might flirt around but... but he hadn't been with anyone except Wei since -- wait, what the hell? It wasn't... it wasn't like they were really together or anything. They were just.... it was just convenient. And fun. And... and Ea was feeling pretty low at that moment -- and angry. Very, very angry. What did Wei think of him? Well, no, he knew what Wei thought about him... but he didn't want to hear it voiced aloud. Wei thought he was just a pleasant f*ck -- that he was convenient and a good way to get back at Penn.

The frown on Ea's lips had quickly turned to a scowl. He hadn't... been doing anything with Eric -- not that Wei should care, anyway, even if he was a possessive b*****d. Eric was Ea's friend. They'd been friends for over eight years and almost any sense of physical attraction had been pretty much abolished -- well, for the most part. Eric was, at least oficially, straight.... though he had recently begun questioning that.....

But that wasn't what mattered. Wei was.... making all sorts of presumptions... and he was hurt -- he was obviously in pain and.... and.... Well, he just had to be. But at the same time the words were so much what he expected from Wei -- not what he wanted, but what he knew had to be true -- that they hurt all the more, like stining arrows laced with a not so delicate poison. Wei had bared his fangs -- not through actions, but through his words. And it hurt. It really, truly hurt. Ea thought he had gotten past that point -- past the point where someone like this could so easily hurt him. But perhaps this would serve as a good lesson.

The next time black eyes raised towards the other's form, there was a certain, defined coldness to them that hadn't been there since their original meeting -- and even then, despite all the hatred of animal-induced insticts, this look was colder still. He had been worried about Wei -- so, so worried.... but apparently Wei didn't want that.

Those cold eyes watched as Wei stumbled through the doorway. Ea's expression was... rather surprisingly blank. It was as if, for once, he really didn't know what to do with himself. Inside, he was a mess and though his features showed nothing of the inner turmoil, it was the lack of action that gave him away. Ea was always busy -- always. He was always thinking, always acting.... always so shrewd and presumptuous. But he wasn't yelling at Wei for saying something so unbelievably rude.... He just wasn't doing anything.

After several moments, however, the ivory-haired teen seemed to remember himself... and he quickly followed the other through the doorway, barely even giving the man a glance as he passed him.

"Just do... whatever you want, then," he said. His voice didn't sound angry or coarse or hot as it usually would have. In fact, his voice was surprisingly... soft. And empty.

With that, Ea passed through the living room and back into his bedroom. He shut the door quietly behind himself, pressing it closed with one hand while the other held the doorknob to keep the small click as it closed to a minimum. Inside, he leaned slowly back against the door, head falling forward slightly, his expression bleak.

**

Liao watched as Ea passed through the room nearly silently. Why was he so... quiet? Ea was never quiet.... Something was... wrong. "W-Wei.....? What... happened?" Liao asked tentatively, looking more than a little confused and rather worried.

[[T^T;; That made my insides hurt.]]

Wei squinted.

It was rare that Wei didn't have an answer for the kitten. It was usually the snake who was honest and ready to answer to the point of being blunt. Blunt and oftentimes scathing.

"I don't know," the older man murmured a bit too softly as he was trying to grasp what had just happened. His head was lagging it seemed and it took a minute for things to slide into place. Because the snake was usually cracking rather...obscene jokes it shouldn't have surprised him that Ea took his comment the wrong way. It was head. It had to be. He would've put it in a different way if he wasn't in so much ******** pain. He would've...he would've kissed him or something. Or...o-or... Grabbing at his head, the snake closed his eyes a moment before stepping forward. "I jus'...I ******** up," Wei looked up with a clearly bewildered expression. He shouldn't be blabbering all of this to Liao...or...this person who was obviously Ea's friend.

It took him longer than he wanted to make his way to Ea's room, but it wasn't exactly easy to find his way around the rather large apartment when his head was swimming. Wei vaguely realized the way his vision kept...blotting? Spotting? He wasn't sure how to explain it... It was a very weird occurrence though. Thankfully, the snake didn't need to dwell on his vision because he had found the mongoose's room.

"Ea?"

His voice was a little ragged, as if he'd just had a good, long-- Wei pressed a hand over his eyes. He shouldn't be thinking about that right now.

((Gah, I am so dearly tempted to make Ea cry! But, unlike Liao, Ea isn't a little pansy... so that doesn't work... >>;; ))

Black eyes pressed closed. s**t. With Wei... out there... like that.... It was making it hard for Ea to contain... things. Not only was he emotionally riled already... but Wei stunk so badly of snake that it was all Ea could do to stop himself from thinking of taking his hands and... Well, if he kept thinking along those lines he would soon have the nails -- claws, really -- to do it with.

In all his furious self-concentration, Ea hadn't heard the other approach. He had been too focused on containing himself, on keeping himself from going out and... ripping out Wei's wind pipe or something.

But then Wei was at the door. The man didn't sound... good. He was... well... he sounded raggad... and like he was in even more pain. And he was speaking. There was a sudden intake of breath from Ea's side -- a sharp hissing sound of breath rushing speedily through open lips.

"D-don't come in...." Ea replied hastilly, his voice lacking its usual strength. He was angry -- so, so angry -- but he didn't want to lose himself in that anger and do something regretable. That anger of his.... scared him. He didn't want to... hurt Wei. He really didn't. Ea bit his lips, not noticing for several moments that there was now something... wet on his lips. His teeth had... sharpened slightly and in his absense of thought, the sharp pointed had pricked into the sensitive flesh of his lips and now two small streams of ruby red trickled slowly down the delicate, pink flesh.

For once Wei wasn't blaming his splitting headache for his actions. As he grabbed the door handle, the snake let out a breath. This choice was his own.

He opened the door.

Now, it wasn't easy. It took him several minutes of cursing and shoving to finally pry open door just a few inches. From there it took even more time for him to fit through. He didn't know how exactly he had done it. Ea was clearly mad at him and not really a push over, but Wei was stronger even if he was a little delirious.

"What...the ********? I jus' needed to tell you that..." He sucked in a breath. s**t. He was trying to tell the very angry ferret that he hadn't meant...he hadn't meant what Ea thought he had. It just was't coming out the way he wanted though. "I know...I know I don't have a great sense...of smell like you," he said between breaths, "But I can tell if you, if you've--" Clenching his fists, the snake let out a forced breath,"You smell so ******** good when you want to screw an' I know that you didn't do anything with that guy and...that's not what I meant. I just didn't want to get in your way...with your party and...and things." That had come out horrible. Had Wei been a little more out of it he might have winced afterwards, but instead he just stood there hoping that the bristling anger coursing through the younger male's body would just subside even a little. He'd feel a little more comfortable if it did.

Ea had been quite preocupied with himself... and his lips and.... But the moment the door handle started to turn, his head snapped up, eyes now sharp and almost overly bright. He pushed back against the door, trying in vain to keep the other out. But, it seemed, even though Wei was injured and not feeling his best he was still stronger than Ea. Little by little, the door inched open... And then, somehow, suddenly... Wei was inside. Now that there was nothing else pushing back on the door, the hunk of wood was sent slamming back into its place. Well, Ea had had all of his weight pushed up against it. The result was a stilled angered and now slightly rattled mongoose -- or not quite mongoose, as Ea was still doing his best to keep any animalistic features from actually coming out.

And then Wei was speaking. It wasn't the most gallant way of speaking -- then again, Wei was no Prince Charming -- but it deffinately... got his message across. Ea blinked slowly. That... well.... That wasn't really what he had been.... angry about. True, it had most deffinately added to the fire but... but it hadn't been the main source. Wei had completely overlooked even the possibility that Ea could maybe, just maybe be worried about him for his sake......

That small frown persisted across his lips, head angling down slightly so that ivory bangs fell to cover his eyes. He was still leaning back against the door, hands behind himself and pressing against the wood. He had already licked the blood from his lips, but still more flowed.

"That... wasn't it...." Ea began, his voice surprisingly soft. More than his anger, which was white and hot, he just... hurt. He felt so goddamn hurt by everything. "I was just... worried about you."

Wei had an odd look on his face. It was...somewhat perplexed, almost surprised, and yet had a hint of something smug. Yes, Wei was quite the possessive b*****d and it was sort of amusing that Ea had been worried about him. The snake thought that, more than anything, the younger male's energies would have been focused on Liao. With a quirk of his brow which turned into something less suave than usual, the snake let out a sigh.

"A mongoose worried about a snake. That's rich, Ea," he murmured after a series of quick breaths. It had taken a few minutes but he seemed to have gotten his breathing pattern back to normal. Pressing a hand to his forehead, testing out the area for bruises, Wei winced sharply. "Nnng, yeah. Look, I'm sorry I just didn't want to be a burden or anything. I mean, it's not a big deal. I'm not in the hospital. I still have all my limbs. I just have been advised not to operate heavy machinery and not to drink anytime soon. They tell that to everyone," he said with a bit of a grin. "So you don't have to be worried or anything, only if you really want to," the snake added, stepping forward to push bleach white hair from the other's dark eyes.

Pale cheeks flushed into a brilliant crimson, slender, pale digits tightening and clenching against the wood of the door. "Sh-shut up, stupid...." he muttered, shoulders tensing up slightly towards his ears. Yes -- yes he had been very, very worried about Liao.... But he could tell easily when that kid was or wasn't alright. Liao seemed... well... saddened, but overall... alright. And Ea knew that Liao was... sick of Ea doting over him all the time.......

But, really, those were just excuses, weren't they? Because he was starting to ca-- no. He didn't give a f*ck about Wei... he really didn't. He was just worried because... because Wei was neccessary in order to get Penn away..... His cheeks reddened further as the internal struggle continued.

"W-well... next time something happens I... I won't worry about you, then. I guess you're too stupid to get majorly injured, anyway," Ea replied forcefully, a large scowl on his lips. Wei had pushed his bangs away and Ea really, really didn't want to look up... but, finally, he did. Black orbs met the other's emerald hues and it was obvious from the over-bright quality of Ea's eyes that he had been... feeling quite strongly about the whole situation. He hadn't cried, no -- Ea wasn't that type, after all -- but he had been hurt by the other's words and wasn't quite ready to forgive Wei just yet.

[[Fufufu~]]

"It's usually the stupid people who get injured heavily, so I'll take that as a compliment in disguise," Wei said with a smirk, letting his hand linger against the other's head for just a minute before pulling it back. Ea still looked quite mad at him, it probably wouldn't be wise to be touching him. However, the teen's lips were now almost drenched in blood. Okay, so Wei was exaggerating tremendously but there was enough blood to be noticeable and Wei really didn't want people to think he had bit Ea, or at least that's what he told himself.

Running his thumb against the male's lower lip, the snake wiped away droplets of blood before brining his finger back up to his own lips. The moment the red substance hit his tongue the man's eyes changed. His pupils thinned out so much that it appeared as if his eyes were only green. The expression only lasted for a second but it was enough to warn Wei.

"I should go," he said slowly.
PostPosted: Sat Feb 23, 2008 11:48 am

Fingers brushed lightly against his lips, wiping away the small trickles of blood that had formed there. Ea watched, hands clenching slowly as his entire body tensed. What was... this feeling? He could smell it, smell it growing stronger..... And there, in an instance that lasted no longer than a scant moment, Wei's eyes had completely changed and then turned back. But it was... enough.

Ea's hands were clenched so tightly that it took him several moments to realise that there was something... wet on his palms. s**t. He opened his fists immediately, small spots of bright crimson peppering his palms and his nails.

"Y-yeah...." Ea replied, his voice breathy and stumbling. He wanted to... attack Wei... so bad. Maybe not in the way Wei might think.... but it was still bad. Liao was in the next room.... and so was Eric, but Ea didn't really care about him. Where Wei's pupils had thinned out, Ea's had... expanded. It was impossible to tell, though, since the irises were already so black....

Wei should.... hurry up and leave. There was one problem, though -- Ea was still leaned against the door. It was taking all his concentration not to change and moving could very well upset that.... But, on the other hand, if Wei got any closer... Ea couldn't promise that there would be blood on only one of them. He would probably jump Wei or something. The anxiety of all his bundled emotions, coupled with the way that Ea and Wei had already blurred the lines between hatred and attraction.... well, it wasn't exactly hard to imagine what Ea might do.

Wei licked his lips slowly before bringing his hand back down to his side. Clenching his teeth, the snake forced out a shaky breath between his lips, forcing air in between them to try and get that taste from lingering. He shouldn't have done that. He shouldn't have tasted Ea. It was hard enough trying to keep his bodily urges suppressed when he was around the weasel. It had been a death wish bringing blood lust into the mix. The snake could feel it coiling around his mind, squeezing out any rational thought as he stepped forward. He didn't touch the younger male, he was simply hovering over him, hands pressed against the door. He should leave. He should have left five minutes ago, but the intelligent part of his psyche was suffocating.

He could smell the blood still there. For some reason the snake didn't want to bite the teen, he just wanted to taste him. He should have left but he didn't. He shouldn't have touched Ea but here he was dragging fingers up his side. He should have left but instead kissed him because he didn't know how else to make someone feel better. It wasn't his nature to say nice things, or buy sappy things. The only thing he could do was please the other. Maybe leaving would have pleased Ea more...but Wei couldn't exactly stop now.
PostPosted: Sat Feb 23, 2008 12:25 pm

He... he needed to stop. To just stop and rationalise things, to clear out the situation and... and stop thinking about doing less than acceptable things to Wei. But it was so fecking hard. But besides the fact that Ea really didn't want to be tempted to rip out some of the older male's insides.... Wei had said he could smell it when... when Ea was.... And that was too embarrassing. True, Ea himself could usually smell it, but... but nowhere nearly as acutely as Wei could.

Wei had drawn closer, now, and it was growing increasingly hard to stay human, to not lash out and do... do something. Ea couldn't tell if he was being tempted to attack the other in the usual sense or... or if his actions would more mirror their usual activities..... He just didn't know.

Fingers pressed in against the small teen's sides, sliding up.... Ea flinched slightly, a bright flush forming over his highly conflicted expression. There was pain there, deffinately -- but it was emotional rather than physical -- and... constraint. He was trying so, so hard to stop himself from doing anything......

"Nghh...." Ea shivered slightly, black eyes pressing closed as Wei drew in. The older male's lips pressed against his own and Ea wasn't drawing away. He couldn't. He had a great urge to wrap his arms around the other's neck, draw him closer... but wouldn't that put his hands too close to the other's face...? He didn't want Wei to lose himself... not when Ea was so far gone already.

Black eyes opened slowly, ivory brows furrowed together above those dark pits. "W-Wei.... you idiot...." he mumbled against the other's lips, looking both highly pleased and incredibly distressed at the same time.

Ea wasn't moving. Wei wasn't sure if that was a bad sign or not. One, it meant that he was also not moving away from the door which the snake needed to get through to leave...but on the other hand Ea could just be locking himself in place so he didn't lash out. "How sweet," the snake whispered, green eyes closing for just a moment. How sweet, Ea didn't want to hurt him. Well, hurt him more than he already was, Wei thought with a sudden dizzy feeling. Maybe his head was just making the snake think that Ea was...stable enough, that those changes in his breathing were not due to his frustration building.

His hands were shaking but he didn't really pay them any mind as he pressed fingers gingerly against the teen's hips. Ea didn't look overly frustrated...

"You know, I don't think you could kill me even if you tried." But he really should leave just in case. That's what the rational part of his mind was saying. He really didn't even have the strength to...to do anything with Ea anyway so there was no sense in riling him up. That part of his mind went unanswered as the snake leaned in close, fingers drifting upwards to grasp at the teen's wrists. Prying one hand open the older man licked away the little pools of blood. Damn, Ea must've been tense if he was digging holes into himself unintentionally. Ea tasted as Wei expected him to. All blood really tasted the same, sort of...well, it didn't have much of a taste but sometimes a little tangy but that was usually due to Wei's tongue picking up the taste of skin.
PostPosted: Mon Feb 25, 2008 9:11 pm

Wei wasn't... moving. Well, he was, but he wasn't moving away. s**t. Ea really didn't want to do something unsightly to the man..... He was already bunged up enough as it was and Ea didn't want to do something to scar the man further -- particularly his face. Ea had made a secret pact with himself not to do anything to that face since he rather liked it-- since...since it was ugly enough as it was.

A small scowl formed on his lips as the other spoke -- or at least, it was the closest thing to a scowl that he could manage at the moment. "Sh...shut up. Stupid. You don't know how hard it is for me to... to not start clawing out your insides right now......" Ea muttered, those shiny black eyes squeezed tightly shut in concentration, nose wrinkled up as he tried his best not to smell just how.... how snakey and wonderful and... wait, wonderful? Hell no. It was just that... that Wei smelled like man... and sex... and a good deal of other things Ea found appealing. It wasn't Wei's scent in particular that was wonderful. After all, Ea would screw just about anyone, right? Right.... Why, then, did he find this one man so overwhelmingly attractive? It just wasn't right.... Wei hadn't even achieved Sex God status and he had already enthralled all of Ea's senses.....

Those black eyes opened as the other's tongue licked away the blood on one of his palms, a light gasp leaving the teen's lips. It... tickled and.... it was his blood.... Part of it made it feel as if he was losing some sort of battle..... But the rest of him had already become shivery and jittery with the excitement and the smell of blood -- even if it was only his own. Oh gods, he wanted to stretch out his hands and leave some lasting marks in the other's flesh....

"Wei, if you don't f*cking move you're going to end up with a good deal more wounds than you have right now....." Ea muttered, bright crimson and pink patches illuminating his cheeks.

[["...since...since it was ugly enough as it was." Buwahaha~ X3]]

"I'm sure," Wei murmured, his voice surprisingly smooth, green eyes narrowed a pinch--be it due to his mood or an attempt to keep his concentration Wei wouldn't explain. "You know, Ea... you don't seem to have much control over your tongue and thus I've come to conclude that you don't have much control over your actions either, which would make me assume that if you really were going to rip out some important organ or something that you would've already done it." It was dangerous to be bickering, well more playful banter than anything else, with Ea when he was so very riled up already. He still seemed...mad, and yet there was something else... Something he might have noticed earlier had he not been clobbered with car equipment several hours earlier.

Tapping his own nose, the snake merely smirked at Ea. He couldn't smell much, but what he could mixed with his high sensitivity to any sort of vibrations were enough to conclude certain things.

"I think part of you hates that you're attracted to me. Is that why you want me to leave, Fluffy?"
