SIN: Fanfiction is good if you like it, some writers are better than others. J.K encourages fan fiction. I do think some fan fic writers did guess what events would happen and some were not close by a long shot. blaugh It helps get that HP fix though. biggrin
Chels: Thanks, but I don't have anything near that much right now. sweatdrop I might sell a few things... 3nodding
SilverMist: I am a HUGE Draco/Harry shipper! heart whee And a Severus/Lucius one too. twisted

The sheer amount of Harry Potter fanfiction out there is amazing. Some of it is really well done, while some isn't. You should see the amount of fanfiction there is available about various anime and manga series. I tend to be a voracious reader, so fanfiction is a great way to get my reading fix. Case in point, HP 7 was read in 4 hours. My average page speed is 150-200 pages per hour. I went to the midnight release of the book. I was at home reading it by 1:30am. By the time I fell asleep at 6:00am, I was done. It's great when I'm trying to get through books. However, I have no clue how I'm going to survive the flight from Detroit to Osaka, Japan in a week. I'm trying to stock up on things to do. Damn. I just remembered I have to take stuff to do on the return flight as well. Any suggestions?

Luckily, I do have a DS and was planning on taking it along with 6 games (Nintendogs, Pony Friends, Sudoku, FF3, Puzzle Quest, and Magical Starship) and the internet browser that is now out for it. I know I'll be taking a couple of paperback books, including a vocab/grammar book and 2-3 witchcraft books. Any other ideas for possible plane fun? I probably won't sleep because I don't want to suffer from jet lag once I get there. I think everyone in my family is taking some type of camera, so I'll probably post pictures when I get back.

Hm. No idea what else you could do. Some sketchbooks or notebooks, maybe? To draw or write on the plane trip?
