He chuckled. "Respecting elders Saradin? I think she'd be offended." He sighed. "But yes, it is a dangerous game of life and death she plays. That's why I'm so adamant about protecting her."

"Don't make me call you an old man. Of course, I'm sure your care has rescued her many times over the years. But I assume she's had to protect you as well. What would you do though should you two ever decide to end this life?"

"Also a good question. We've never thought about it. We tend to live in the present not the future or past. Though both like to sneak up on us from time to time. Yes, we've protected each other through many many things." He was silent for a moment. "I don't think she would end it until she knew you all were settled and happy and allowing her to do so. She's very fond of you all." He laughed again. "And I'd have to be a biped to me an old man...I'm just an old wolf...thing."

"Careful Eclipse. With the way you're talking right now, you're showing your age. But with that goal in mind, you really will live forever. Seems like there are always more people piping in, and the rest of us dig up new problems. Though I seem to have resolved myself to the same in some respect, I don't truly believe I could let myself go as long as anyone is left suffering."

Aura had finished her breakfast and quieted the chiming voice in her head...at least for now. Now she could either go on a coffee binge or just go "vampire mode" and sleep through the day to avoid shadow incidents. Placing her cup in the sink she went to the great hall where she sat down on the floor next to Eclipse and in front of Saradin. She petted the wold gently. "I'm sorry I hit your nose so hard."

Vik stomach growled. He just remembered he didn't have any breakfast yet. "Com'n Munalisk. Let's get some food."
"I thought you'd never ask!"
They both slammed their books shut and walked to the kitchen. Munalisk grabbed a loaf of bread and lightly toasted it. He broke it in half and started buttering his part up. While they both walked back to the Library, they noticed noticed Aura and Eclipes sitting on the floor in the great hall. "Hey Aura!" He walked over and petted Eclipes. "Hey boy!"

Aura glanced at Vik and gave him a wave. "Morning Vik." She continued to run her hand through Eclipse's fur, holding private conversation with the creature.
Eclipse looked to Vik and merely gave him a bark and a snort.

"'Sup Eclipes!" Munalisk screamed as he dived headfirst into Eclipes, landing clumsily on his back. "Oh, and good morning Aura."
"So how are you feeling? I meant, after last night's event?"

Eclipse turned his head to look at the pint sized dragon. "Do you enjoy using me as a standing surface?" He nipped at the little dragon's wing, no malice intention behind the gesture.
Aura smile up at Vik. "I'm doing better. Don't worry yourself about it, it'll be taken care of." She then reached a hand over to pat Munalisk's head. "Morning to you too Munalisk."

"Sure do! Ow!" He immediatly yanked his wing towards him and rubbed the bruise. "..wait...you can talk? So I'm not the only talking creature here anymore. Yay!" But he secretly thought, "I'm no longer special"
"Wow. He can. When did that happen?"

Aura laughed slightly and stood. She turned her back on the two and pulled her hair over he shoulder, exposing her back to them as well as the wing tattoo etched there that now took of the place of pervious scars. "See that, that's the mark of a spirit bonding." She turned to face them. "Me and Eclipse bonded our spirits so we wouldn't have to worry about magic dispels killing him. Him and me share a degree of each other now. Example of that being his talking now.
Eclipse laughed and gently nudged Munalisk with his nose. "You can't have the spot light with that big mouth of yours always."

"Spirit bonding? Like me and Munalisk?"
He slowly unwrapped his hands and reveald the scar along with the golden dragon tatoo wrapped around it. "I got the dragon when Munalisk was born."
"We must be getting more popular. Soon everbody would want to bond with their pets. Isn't that right Aldramech?"
A dragon composed of faint golden flames appeared behind Munalisk and nodded.
"Oh. And that's Aldramech. He's the link between me and Munalisk's minds. Has Eclipes been spying on your thoughts? I know how annoying that can be. Believe me"
Munalisk coughed and started looking around.
