I finished the last HP book! heart blaugh It was soo good! The whole series was too cool! biggrin heart
I did have a vivid dream, though I thought I was awake at the time...I saw magical puffs of sparkles and asked Crystal if I could see her. She turned into a kitten. stressed eek Then I knew I was dreaming and she had tricked me. sweatdrop
Crystal: blaugh Fooled ya! blaugh heart heart

She was way too rushed to tie up all the loose ends from her previous two books. I read it only because I've read the rest of the series and don't like to leave things unfinished. (Probably the same reason why I will watch the movies.)
Needless to say, I didn't entirely like this last book. I found several grammar and spelling errors, too. -_-;;

To be honest, I think Rowling ought to be done with it.
She didn't leave much to be done with the old characters. All that would be left would be to do a series on the next generation of Hogwarts students -- and that would be tedious, at best. She ought to quit while she's ahead.
Or, at least, before her readers get migraines from her shoving as much as she can into each book.

Chels: I am easily pleased and liked the last book. I did find a couple of loose ends but I won't mention them and hope she will publish a book that has all the background info like J.K said she might for charity. All that background info is interesting to me too. smile

I dunno, I just didn't like how her writing got so sporadic there near the end. It was like she had thousands of ideas, but since she'd said it would be only 7 novels long, tried to jam it with as much as she could. I can understand if her novels were merely growing more "mature" as they went on, to suit the aging audience, and all, but it seemed like the closer to the end she got, the more frantically filled her novels became.
While background information is interesting -- I'd only agree that she ought to write it if it comes out like The Silmarillion. It was set up as more of a history, than anything else, and set up a lot of what happens and is mentioned in The Hobbit and the Lord of the Rings. As did the massive appendices Tolkien fit into each book -- they were extra information that weren't necessary to enjoy the books, but certainly added to the magic of them.
If Rowling can pull it off in that manner, then she ought to.
But if turns out as her trying to fit in as much as she can into another book...I'd rather not touch it. sweatdrop
Edit: Though, I will admit that I am usually very picky about my literature. sweatdrop

i've only read up to boook 4. i finished boook4 and decided not to touch anythign else. i saw movie 5 and well...now im reading book 6. i hoenstly hope that she makes a continuation of this novel or something. i heard harry dies

You ought to read book 5. A couple of the best scenes in the entire Harry Potter series are in that book.

Just to let y'all know, Monday July 30, I will be going over the guild and doing general cleanup and a front page revamp.
Also, a question -- is the front page graphic stating we do NOT accept join requests that do not have the information we request difficult to read? I'm really starting to get tired of the requests being sent stating, "im a wiccan", "im a witch", "i'm a pagan", and "I'm a pagan looking for others like me." As tanya put it -- we're not a dating service, folks.

I actually loved the last HP book. I thought it did feel a bit rushed, and as one of my friends said "it felt like a bunch of fan fics strung together", but I loved it. I felt it took care of most things very well. ^^
And ya know, chels, I didnt think it would be an issue, but I've had to turn down alot of join requests for the same reason... ><

I decided to combine all the armors and stuff for my new look...a cursed angel thingy. blaugh I love the cursed armor, I am considering getting more of it.... confused
