Sydney got to the door and opened it, seeing Shaon looking wide awake, yet oddly paranoid.
"Shift's over, Shaon. I'll take things from here."

Shaon blinked at him, slightly startled. "alright." she stood and jumped down off the house, landing on a twig. the snap made her jump, but she walked by him and into the tavern. she sghed, fidnign an empty room, locking the door, and then slumping down.

"Ugh... I hate look out duty..." Sydney said, scaling the inn to sit on the roof. The sun was starting to rise now, making visibility better, but the faint light made shadows seem more like people... they were shadows...
right?

Shaons e,lpt uenasily,. always boltign awake at the slishgtest sound. she shuddered, she hated being on edge...but finally, at last, she sifted into sleep.

The faint light was making it hard to see and the shadows were starting to get to Sydney. He looked around, trying to reassure himself.
Then, there was a swishing sound and when he looked down, there was an arrow sticking out of the roof about one foot away from his thigh.
That arrow was not there before and definitely was NOT a shadow.
Sydney flung himself to his voice and shot several fireballs into the surrounding trees. He then jumped down off the roof and entered then inn.
He kicked down the door of the room which Shaon was sleeping.
"Sorry for the disturbance," Sydney said, "but it's really time to go."

shaon jumped a solid foot into the air, nearly leaping from the ebd and stumbling agiasnt the wall. Her hand found her dagger and yanked it out as her wide eyes looked at Sydney. slwoly, she lowered it, controlling her shudderign breathing. "alright..." she said, her voice strained. "let's get Leo..."

Leo got out of bed with a grumpy look on his face. He was not a morning person. "Anyone got a bright idea as where we should move to?" Leo asked.

"Right now, anywhere but here, let's go." Sydney said as he left the room.
He came out into the pub and saw his would-be-assassin standing in the door way with his bow by his side. When he saw Sydney, he raised his bow to shoot and shot an arrow towards Sydney.
Sydney dodged to the side and there was the sound of the arrow hitting the wall behind him.
Sydney bolted towards the assassin.
The assassin reached for his dagger but it was too late.
Sydney's fist met his face with a sickening crack. Sydney then gave him a shot to the gut and grabbed the assassin's hair, throwing him into the bar.

Shaon, sensing the dnager, ran out after him, nearly getting hit with the arrow. she walekd over to the assassin that tried to do in sydney. she put her fingers to his neck. she pasued a bit. "he's dead." she stood, looking rather tattered and distraught. "Dammit, they found us." she walekd to the door. "leaving would be our best choice, i agree with you 100% my dear brother,"

Just then, Verus oepned the door to the bar, bumping into Sahon and nearly knockign ehr over. He scowled. "Get outta my way." he growled, pushing her out of the way.

Verus glared at her. "you little wench. Don;t you know who i am?" he put his ahnd to his hilt. "I'll jsut have to kill you for that..." he looked her over, he walways did before he sliced people in two. but unlike normally, he stopped, hand freezing at his hilt. "shaon?" he asked numbly, his eyes wide.

She looked at him and blinked. "Who--" she gaped. "Verus?" her eyes watered. "how are you still alive!? i thought they..." she shook her head. "Never mind, we have to go...i can;t say why, only that we have to." she whispered, grabbign his hand, "come on," she said, looking to sydney and leo who were ready to leave.

Sydney had gotten out his blade and was ready to strike when this man by the name of "Verus" had knocked his silencer aside.
But now, he didn't know what to do, so he just grunted and went for the door.

when they got outside, Shaon looked Verus over agian, making sure she was right, they were on a path, it was bright. Shaon didn;t like traveling in the sun very much...
"what are you doing here!?" shaon gasped to Verus, quietly, lest they alert other people to their presence. "don't you have any idea what's going on!? how come you're not dead??"
