I'd like an iPod so I can listen to the songs I want to listen to. I don't have many CDs. I usually carry my CD player with me when I plan to leave the house for a while. I've already been through nearly four CD players because they all got burned out I guess ._.
Edit: I usually get stuff when it's no longer cool.

Okay, I'm scooting myself into the conversation now. Anyway, i loved my CD player, but as mentioned, it started to skip. And that pissed me off soo much. Because it started to skip, like, every 3 seconds. =_=.. I still have my CD player for emergencies since i got it somewhat fixed.. I just can't hold it or it'll skip. My iPod mini recently broke, and now it has to be charged for 4 days only so it play music for only 30 minutes. >_< I love all our updated technology, don't get me wrong, i think it's friggin kickass..
I just hate how almost all the old stuff is gone so then you have to get the new stuff. Like, i never see VHS stuff really anymore, since everything's all about DVDs. I have like, all the Disney classics on VHS, so i'm praying my VHS thingy doesn't break. .__.
One more thing.. I dislike how the iPods and stuff are becoming smaller and smaller. I like small mp3 players, but dude. My friend has this mp3 player that's the size of a cube. How hasn't that been lost yet? >>;;;; Also, the smaller it is, i've noticed, the less music it holds. I need a music player that can hold at least 1000 songs since i love my music. >>

I like DVDs, but I also have a lot of Disney classics on VHS and I don't really feel like spending $15-$20 on over thirty movies just to get them as DVDs. A lot of my movies I got a long time ago and replacing them with DVDs makes me a little...upset. I don't care if it's a digitally remastered DVD, I want the old crappy looking old a** VHS I bought when I was seven D<

VCR's were around long enough. I'm supprised people didn't persue laser discs sooner than they did, seeing as how there were laser disc players in the 80's.

I guess you all make a point, but all this electrical crap one day we're going have to using simple stuff, I believe that new technoligy will lead to our downfall.. But an iPod is useful... ^.^
And as to teh comment kitten's input on the thread, it dies sometimes but we try to keep it alive, I can't get on as offten as I use to. But thank god its summer, I wont be working on school but i'll be at the pool. ^.^
As for VCRs and DVDs I have a VCR and DVD player fused together. xD So I watch both.

People have been saying new technology will lead to our downfall for centuries. People are just too stuck in their ways to accept change.

I have a VCR and a DVD.. I hate how they aren't making VCR's anymore though.. I personlly like DVD's a lot better because it's easier to go to a certain scene and everything... But VCR's still work for me. xP I like iPods because they can hold much more music than CD players.. Tha's my only reason. x_x
