"Er, thanks," she said, holding on for a moment after getting up to balance properly with her tail. "My name is Karen, that little monster is Iona, I'm not sure if we've met or not before but I'm sort of new here so we probably haven't I guess...?" During this sentence, she pointed to her cat while referring to her and bounced around somewhat randomly otherwise.

"I'm a singer, mostly I do choral music and I guess some of the more innovative pop," she said. "I'm still not too sure how exactly the magic stuff works but I can manage some of it I think, yesterday a couple of teachers taught me some stuff I think..."

"Soprano, really high soprano, and whistle-tone," she said, and then demonstrated the last one by singing the highest C available to human hearing for about a second or so and then stopping.

Kit was still playing underneath the tree, oblivious to the pair coming up to her.
"Would you rather find someone else, I'm not sure Kit payed any attention to the theory..." Aki asked.
