Hi everyone! *grins and waves* I'm playing Mitsukake and Shoka. I'm putting up their profiles, and then I'm posting. ^^
~*Shoka*~
Name: Kaede Sakurazawa
Gender: female
Age: 19
Height: 5'6
Hair: golden blond just past her waist; either worn down or braided
Eyes: lucid, light, blue; large and round with long lashes a shade darker than her hair
General Appearance/Clothes: Slim but busty, with hips that are more slight. Her skin is fair but not pale, with a rosy undertone. She has a fine face with full lips, well-defined but delicate bones, and beautifully arched eyebrows. Kaede has a fondness for simple but stylish dresses that at least go past mid-thigh; she also likes peacoats.
Personality: Kaede has very expressive eyes. She often has difficulty holding her tongue, and whereas her boyfriend is generally straightforward without scorn or rebuke, she's just blunt. When she doesn't speak her mind, her eyes and expressions give away how she feels about something as plainly as though she had spoken. She's not all spitfire, though, and is very gentle with animals and children. Articulate, intelligent, and obstinate--a dangerous trio.
History: Born and raised in Tokyo, Kaede is attending Tokyo University to major in Chinese mythology, with an undergraduate in ancient Chinese language. Her childhood and adolescence were as uneventful as her boyfriend's, Hiroyuki, whom she met a year ago in a European history class. Ever since then, she has had dreams of a faraway land and people that she hasn't mentioned to anyone. Lately, however, she's begun to think that they may be more than just dreams...
Skills: Fluent in ancient Chinese, Mandarin Chinese, and Japanese; plays the violin (though she's quite good at it, she would detest it if it weren't for Hiroyuki's encouragement; it's one of those things she had to learn as a child because her parents thought it would make her more "polished").

~*Mitsukake*~
Name: Hiroyuki Shinohara
Gender: male
Age: 22
Height: 6'6
Hair: black, trim, and short
Eyes: dark brown with a hint of gold like roasted chestnuts
General Appearance/Clothes: A friendly giant, Hiroyuki is well-built from an active life. He's handsome in a stern, traditional way, but most people find his size to be intimidating. Usually he wears suits in black or dark blues with silk ties.
Personality: Hiroyuki has a way of being straightforward without being rude. Normally he doesn't speak or act without first thinking, but he won't hesitate to jump into something head first at his own expense if it will save someone close to him from pain. He's defined by his quiet intelligence, but despite what most people think, he *does* speak quite a bit when he's around family or close friends. He also has a gently teasing sense of humor. Hiro doesn't lose his temper often, but when he does, he can shout with the best of them.
History: Born in the small, historic mountain town of Takayama, Hiroyuki left at fourteen to go to a private high school in Tokyo for his academic brilliance. He graduated at fifteen and went to Tokyo University to study medicine. Ever gifted, he's already working on his doctorate. Before leaving Takayama, Hiroyuki had an uneventful life with a loving family. Lately, though, something has been nagging him from the back of his mind. He's had strange dreams full of magic and wonder and familiar people that he's sure he has never met. The only problem is, he has began to have these dreams during the day sometimes--brief glimpses of a face or a place that refuses to leave him alone to live his life.
Skills: speaks fluent Japanese, English, and Mandarin Chinese; has an affinity with animals
Other: He has three cats and a dog.

The white lights of the subway station shone down on a river of glossy golden waves, and caught the blue eyes of their owner.

Kaede closed her eyes against the glare of the lights, and pressed closer to her boyfriend. Her heart still thumped excitedly against her chest no matter how much she told herself that she was acting like a silly, giddy high school girl. She couldn't help it--it wasn't often the man one loved asked her to marry him over dinner. She felt the engagement ring with her thumb, and smiled. It wasn't a diamond, but the deep red of the ruby set into the gold glittered as brazenly as if it were.

Hiroyuki led Kaede to an empty bench to wait, something heavy weighing on him. All night he'd had a feeling that something was amiss, that something was going to happen. At first, he had attributed the feeling to nerves about asking Kaede to marry him, but now...now that she had said "yes," that couldn't be it.

His dark eyes swept over the assortment of people in the subway station with uncharacteristic paranoia; no one too dangerous-looking, by his standards. On the bench next to him sat two boys, probably Kaede's age, one of them quite obviously drunk. He didn't seem to be the violent type of drunkard, but rather the stupid, harmless kind.

He sighed inaudibly, and stuffed his hands into the pockets of his light jacket; what was that nagging at the back of his mind?

Finally, the train glided into the station. Takashi stood hurriedly, almost forgetting that his comrade was half-asleep, very drunk and could barely walk as he dragged him towards the open doors. Kyo didn't seem to have forgotten it, however, as he promptly tripped on his own feet, tumbled to the side... and straight into the lap of a young woman.

Kyo looked up, blinking sleepily. "Oi..." he muttered weakly. "What're you doin' with yer lap in my head...?"

Takashi groaned, grabbing Kyo and jerking him away from the woman. "I'm so sorry!" he cried, bowing profusely. "My friend's a little... drunk... and an idiot... I hope you're all right, miss."

Kaede stiffened in surprise, and wrinkled her nose when the smell of alcohol on the boy met her nostrils.

He was in her lap!--but only for a moment before his friend yanked him away. She flushed, pulling her arm out of Hiro's as she just short of leapt off of the bench and onto her feet.

"I'm so sorry!" The drunk's friend said, bowing. "My friend's a little... drunk...and an idiot...I hope you're all right miss."

Her eyes flashed, and she fixed the fiercest look that she could muster on the two fools. "I can see that he's a drunk idiot!"

Hiroyuki stood, putting a hand on Kaede's arm, and giving her a warning look. She looked so angry that he almost chuckled in spite of himself. She was not the kind of woman whose scorn could be taken lightly, though.

Her face was scarlet, her eyes were two angry sapphires, and her fists were balled menacingly. He knew that it was only his hand that kept her from physically harming the drunk boy.

Kaede was a good foot shorter than him, and much smaller around, and he easily pushed her forward toward the train.

"It really is all right," He calmly told the boy who had been bowing as he walked, his deep voice resonating in the echoey subway station. The best thing to do was to get Kaede onto the train and away from the boys.

"But they were heading for that train!" She protested, voice rising.

He sighed. "We can either get onto A train now, or wait two hours for C," he pointed out. When faced with a two hour wait, Kaede would invariably pick the A train. If one was dealing with sensible people who were also stubborn, it was best to allow them to think they were doing the deciding...especially when they were as angry as Kaede was.

"Oh, very well," The muttered but expected response came.

Hiro hid his smile, and took her hand, leading her to the open doors of the train. He saw her shoot the boys a parting glare before she turned back to him, and her eyes widened in shock.

"Hiro...your hand's glowing..."

Eilla had been watching the scene in silence. She had chosen to stand back this time, not to make an entrance, but she noticed almost at once that one half of the couple was a seishi. Watching through narrowed eyes, she was almost surprised that they had somehow managed to be so close to another seishi, and not have noticed a thing. Perhaps her powers had not been as hindered as she had thought? Yet, the entire seishi affair confused her to no end, and she preferred not to think about how to retrieve her powers just yet. Gathering these seishi would have to come first.

Kigen Kenryoku (Nakago)
::At least in his own mind, she was hooked. He would not have to work towards "converting" her to his caus..and this would help in "recruiting" the others until he could find out how to get his power back. At this point, as she looked around him towrds the others at the bench, he kept his stance but also faced them with his posture. It had to be her...and the other one..he was one of them...and already they were talking..that could be bad...he had not had time to "straighten out" his enoucounter with the Ex-Lupine yet. And this could work against him. For the moment..he was actually a bit lost in what to do and how to engage these ones..but he knew he would have to do it quickly before things got stickier than they already were.::

::Kigen sighed inwardly. When would he have another garaunteed chance like this...with them al lin about the same place. He would need to have them, if not as converted as she was, at least more receptive to him, and not waiting with battle lines drawn. He had already squared of with the lupine..and every time he went over it in his head he couldn't curse himself enough for causing himself more trouble in doing so. But the fact that she was ready to go after him before he had said anything...didn't help any case::

::To Jun'ko::

"A few of your...Well...our I guess..though there is a difference in each of you and me...companions are there. I shoudl say the sooner they are befreinded, the better."

::He then finished turning himslef toward the bench and street light. He would lead, and she would surely follow. He approached in as non-menacing a manner as one of his stature and countenance could, and then with a light bow::

'Here goes nothing...'

"I believe I owe you an apology..."

"Really now?" Keiko enquired darkly as she placed her gaze upon him, resting her left hand against her injured side as she rested her right arm against the back of the bench, "That is a surprise, especially for a thief," she pointed out coolly and arched a brow in amusement as she rose to her feet, daring not to stretch as she turned her back to him and began to make her way down the street, glancing briefly at the being who had been standing beside her for a while.

She had warned him...

Takashi continued to smile at the couple, breathing a sigh of relief once they'd passed by. "C'mon you idiot," he growled at his friend, once again tugging him towards the subway. "I'm gettin' you home b'fore you c'n piss off anyone else around here."

Kyo murmured something rude and allowed himself to be led onto the train. Takashi practically threw him onto a bench, taking a tired seat next to him and leaning back against the cool steel of the train. "Damn, I can't wait t'get t'the hotel," the older boy grumbled. "T'night's been way too damn full-a excitement fer me..."

"Oi..." Kyo said quietly. Takashi looked up, and noticed that his friend was watching the couple again. Or, to be more precise, he was watching the tall man sitting next to the now very angry woman. "Oi," he said again. "Do I... have we met b'fore? You look sorta familiar."

Takashi groaned and clapped a hand to his forehead. Oh, why did drunks have to be so stupid all the time?

Hiroyuki studied the drunk's face carefully before answering. "No, I have no recollection of ever meeting you," He said slowly. He smiled in what he hoped was a polite way, before turning his head away from the young man.

But Hiroyuki was suddenly dubious about what he had said so confidently. It was a strange feeling to second-guess himself when he had been so certain that the boy's face was unfamiliar only a moment before.

Then the train melted away before his eyes, and he was staring at the sharp-toothed grin of a self-assured boy in his late teens, with flame-orange hair and an arrogant disposition. Something in the way the boy stood, straight and proud, made his grin cocky.

The redhead looked right into Hiroyuki's eyes with amber-gold ones. "Na, Mitsukake!" He said loudly, and Hiroyuki could hear Osaka-Kansai accenting even that name.

Then, abruptly, he was staring into Kaede's face, which was almost nose-to-nose with his. Her eyes were soft with worry, even though her voice came out sounding annoyed.

"I SAID, don't you want to stand up and let obaa-san and ojii-san have our seats?" Hiroyuki blinked, realized that she was standing and peering down at him, saw an elderly couple out of the corner of his eye, and quickly stood, embarrassed. He would have to worry about his little..vision...later.

A throng of people pressed in, pushing them close to the two boys. Even this late, Tokyo subway trains were usually full to bursting. He chanced a glance at the drunken boy's face, and there was something that reminded him of the redhead.

"Maybe I was wrong. You look...familiar." Kaede was suddenly clutching his hand very hard.

"Your hand's doing that thing again!" She hissed so only he could hear. She grunted as one more person squeezed into the train, shoving her right against the drunk's legs with no room to move away. She looked furious.

Kyo felt the warmth from his arm again. He unconsciously grabbed at his sleeve, though he highly doubted that anyone could see the crimson glow through the black material. Even that woman and kid had seemed to guess about the mark more than seen it. But then, how would they have known...?

He kept his eyes on the tall man across from him, even as the subway began to fill up. "Huh. So it ain't just me, then?" he remarked in answer to the man's second comment. He chuckled weakly; he could feel his stomach churning again, but his head didn't seem quite so foggy now. "Hm..." He bit his lip and looked down, apparently deep in thought as he tried to place the face. Only it wasn't this face that he remembered, but another, similar one... no, it wasn't the face at all, but rather, the feeling... only that didn't make any sense, either! What was wrong with him tonight...?!

Takashi shifted uncomfortably in his seat. Why wasn't Kyo saying anything else?! You couldn't just start a weird conversation like that and then let it drop! He grinned at the man, attempting to pick up where his drunken friend had left off. "Well, where ya from? Not from Osaka, I'm guessin'; ya don't have th' accent. Maybe we've seen ya at a track meet're somethin'."

Hiroyuki chanced a quick look down at his hand, which had lately taken to glowing at odd times when he was walking to or from work, or when he was out with Kaede. Fortunately, Kaede's hand covered the glowing mark well, and he tried not to look relieved. Sometimes he felt as though he was losing himself, and that he couldn't even trust his own body.

He wanted to be alone very much at that moment, but he forced himself to look pleasant and normal. He was staring at the drunken boy, who had gone silent, until the boy's friend spoke to him.

"I'm actually from Takayama, but I came to Tokyo for school. And yourself?"
PostPosted: Thu Dec 02, 2004 7:02 pm

Kyo remained silent, so Takashi shot him a burning look and answered instead. "Osaka. My friend here is college-shoppin'. He's been accepted almost everywhere he applied, so he's got a lotta lookin' around t'do." He paused, then added: "I go to Osaka U, myself, but we're on break right now, so his parents asked me t'come along t'look out for him." He chuckled. "Fine job I'm doin' of it, too, lettin' him get smashed like this." He ignored the grumbling man who had just pressed up on his right and went on. "What school ya go to? I bet we visited it by now, heh!"

Ryu took a step to the side, putting himself more in Kigen's path in case he decided to follow the injured young woman. It was not in concern for her, he told himself, but more of an interest in the strange man calling himself a deity. He supposed that in the grand scheme thing of things, it was better to get this confrontation over with now. His chances of forming some temporary alliances were looking up, and hopefully whatever this conflict was about would hopefully be resolved quickly, and he could get the hell out and move on with his existance.

"Well now," he said to Kigen dryly, "I hear you steal form those blessed by the War God."

Inside, Kigen was fuming...He had brought this on himslelf...but that didn't mean he had to like it. Outwardly however...he did his best...a sone looking like him could, to seem hurt by her accusations. He didn't like it...but it was his best bet for now.::

"Here...and I was extending my hand in peace and apologies for my...misunderstanding...and you would slap it away so easily even when...."

::His words were interrupted as both the girl got up to leave and the young man stepped between them and addressed him::

"And it would seem you have heard falsly. I have not stolen anything more than this ::motioning towards himself:: clothing...in order to fit in until this...situation...is resolved."

"My first encounter with ::motioning:: her...did not go well...as I was in a state of confusion. It's not every day you are thrust from Immortality to Mortality...have youself cut of from everything you once knew...and have your power seemingly stripped away."

::No matter how good or bad he was at acting, that much would give him a good footing because it was all but true. He was never truly immortal...but the next best thing. Come to think of it...if others ocould see some of the bouts between him and the Suzaku Girl...they might easily think that it was events of the God's themselves fighting::

Eilla sat in silence for a few moments, before she revealed a thought she had, one which expressed a bit of self doubt. "We should have followed them," she said, her voice void of any emotion, as usual.
