According to my Google-ing skills, less than 5% of abortions are performed due to rape, incest, or for the sake of the mother's health.

The other 95% . . . Well, you know.

*sighs sadly*

Another thing I've now realised I'm sick of. I'm sick of pro-choicers bashing us to death in the ED, not letting us have enough time to come back with a thorough comeback, being rude, then after we leave never to return they call us cowards and delcare victory. Then they will not admit that it was their poor behavior that drew people away from the debate, which is very ignorant because even I am able to see when the side I support is overly rude to the other side. To top it all off, when pro-lifers are fed up with the way the act and just want to be left alone in our own guild, they come in and take comments out of context and pick at them in thier guild or in ed.

and if we decide we'd like to try fighting fire with fire and returning some of their insults (they called us the "baby daddy" of adoption, we are just there for the fun part thn we run off. i said that they just ******** and then kill anmy children that come of it) , WE get banned for 2 weeks. i know i shouldn't say it, but neth. pisses. me. off. which mod is she blowing to be able to talk so much s**t and get away with it? she is a cruel, indecent a*****e who hides behind race and disability at any given opportunity to gain sympathy and support, and i'm sick of the bullshit.

I don't think it's right to talk about specific people behind their backs, Seraph. Some pro-choicers partake in that, but we shouldn't. We don't support that.

But I do concur with one thing, about the whole "We were defending ourselves and then we get banned" thing. I concur wholeheartedly.

I despise the way pro-choicers claim that once the child is born, by legal definition, it is a person.

*breathes out slowly*

You know what? You have ranted and raved, countless times, spewing out cursewords, and preaching about how different people have different definitions of personhood.

Mine? The moment that child is conceived, it is as much a person, a child, and a human being as I am, at thirteen years of age.

So what's your definition of personhood? When that child is independent? When it can survive on its own? When it doesn't need mommy's help any longer?

You say this as though a child is independent after its first breath. That it is suddenly, magically, capable of finding its own food, water, shelter, and clothing. That it is suddenly developed enough mentally to go out and buy a gun for self-defense, or go to Wendy's when it's hungry, or buy Pampers when it needs to be changed.

I don't care about what your definition of a human being is; when life begins, or if it truly exists at all, or if we are merely but a dream, or if this is reality, or if there's an afterlife, or if, when we are dead, we fall into a bottomless hole.

I believe in the sanctity of life. I believe that a child who has not shot anyone, who is unstained from sin, who didn't feel the need to ******** like a bunny, who has never talked back to an elder, stolen candy from Kroger, or punched its neighbor in the face deserves a chance.

I could care less about what pro-choicers think is a child, a person, a ******** potato for Christ's sake. In the end, scientific and medical names and labels won't matter for ********. All that will is whether you examined yourself and wondered, "Why?" All that will matter is whether you chose to protect the unborn, even when their own mothers won't!

So you take that medical dictionary and preach and scream and do what you will. Just keep in mind, I'm going to be the one in the back, with my middle finger in the air, laughing and yelling, "Call it what you will! You say 'potato' and I say 'human being'!"

GAH! So I went to cool down and not touch this stuff.

And then I get immediately into the disability discrimination, which saddens me immensely.

Why are we embracing eugenics? Is creating the perfect race worth trashing an entire group of human beings?

Is this freaking nazi germany where "perfect white babies" are the only ones allowed to live and so we should kill all others before they have a chance to get any further in life? Because they aren't good enough for us due to a disability (meaning EVERY disabled person isn't good enough for us and should have been nipped in the bud before birth)? Freaking racist facists, "These people are good enough to live but these aren't." I give up on humanity. In a world where people kill other humans before birth for being the wrong sex, the wrong race (omg this kid's daddy was a black guy! I can't have a negro baby lolz!), the wrong number of fingers, the wrong facial structure, the wrong mental capacity, in short when we live in a world where humans can be killed before birth for failing to live up to a mother's physical idea of perfection, maybe they're better off dead. What the hell sort of world is that?

*hugs*

They make no sense. They say, "You need to be considerate that even though you think it's a person, others don't agree," but if someone tries to say a woman isn't a person because of her sex, a born baby isn't a person due to age or dependance, people with dark skin aren't people due to race, it's all, "Your definition of personhood is wrong and you need to treat them like people even if you don't agree with my definition of personhood and think they aren't people!" Seriously.

I would never, ever say, "Go ahead and kill Mexicans. Even though I think they're people, you don't, and I respect your right to abide by your own definition of personhood, even if I disagree." So when according to my definition of personhood a born Mexican male is worth as much as an unborn human, why is it that I'm expected to say, "Go ahead and kill even if I disagree."

"omg because a Mexican matches MY definition of a person and a fetus doesn't! It's all about me and MY beliefs!"

That is why when people say, "You don't have to agree with it, just don't force your views on others!" I call bullshit. Seriously. People used to say that about slavery. They used to say that about abusers. I'll be damned if I'm going to sit by and condone the circle of violence just to be tolerant. I am freaking tolerant. I don't run at women yelling, "Baby killer!" when they've had abortions. I don't say, "Those women are evil!" I don't see, "People who are pro-choice are evil, stupid, and smell funny!" I say, "It's wrong to treat human beings that way and like hell if I'm going to condone it."

I suppose it is intolerant, it's intolerant of people murdering other humans. In my mind, abortion is as bad as any other form of killing another human being, and if I was to be tolerant of abortion, I'd have to be tolerant of ALL of those for the sake of letting each and every individual decide which humans are people and which are property. I'm not prepared to move to that level of tolerance, and I sure as hell hope I never will be.

Asking me to respect THEIR views on personhood while completely trashing mine is utter bullshit. I'm sorry, it just is.

Ok, this is the funniest thing ever, I was browsing through the pro-choice guild (it's a sick and twisted compulsion I have) when I came across a post about how a woman shoy herself in the stomach the day her baby was due to be born. While this distressed me to say the least I was filled with a warm rosy glow by a few Pro-choicers who stood up and said that they thought it was wrong, sadly this warm rosy glow was replaced by a burning flame of fury when I saw that they were attacked f it. They were attacked for saying that it was wrong for a woman to shoot her baby. They were attacked for saying that maybe it was childish to refer to us as Anti-choicers, they were attacked ladies and gentlemen, for having the slightest bit of empathy for that poor baby.

ANYONE who was making fun of us for being upset MUST support third trimester abortions on demand, or they have no basis.

She wanted the damn baby up until then. No one forced her to keep from aborting. She was about to give birth and then she shot herself to kill it, then she tried to blame it on someone else.

I mean, I understand being mad at us for being upset if you support third trimester abortions being legal, but otherwise you're saying, "I think the law shouldn't protect a third term fetus but women shouldn't be able to have it done in a safe building, they should have to do it themselves or get a back alley abortion." It is not saying ANYTHING else.

If she'd been blocked from receiving an abortion earlier, if she'd had access to clinics cut off, that'd be one thing. But it's freaking...Gah. It isn't difficult at all to get an abortion around that area. She wanted the baby until then.

This sort of thing makes me angry because it isn't consistantly caring for women. It's saying, "I don't want them to have safe procedures available to terminate 3rd trimester fetii for any reason at all, but I want them to get away with it if they do it illegally, putting themselves at more risk than if I would just support a legal third trimester abortion for any reason whatsoever." If you care about women so little that you want them to be encouraged to shoot themselves if they want to get rid of their pregnancy instead of advocating the legal removal at the same exact time, then stop pretending.

Sickening.

Just . . . sickening.

As for that lady who shot herself in the stomach?

As cruel and blackhearted as this may seem . . . I don't feel sorry for her.

Sorry. I just . . . don't.

I don't feel sorry for someone who hurt themself in the process of trying to hurt another human being.

Her child . . .

Yes, and then when some of the pro-choicers showed empathy for that poor baby they were flamed, there's something rotten in that guild...

I think the term for her is "psychotic." You've got to be severely mentally ill to do that. Did she even survive that? eek

I really hate that crap... Especially when they use it against us, like, "This is why abortion should be legal!" ...Even when it already is.

Personally? Honestly, however cold it may sound, if abortion is illegal and women do that, they get what's coming to them. Seriously. If you're desperate enough to do stupid things in that situation, then they are desperate enough to do stupid things in other situations too and they are likely to end up killing themselves whether abortion is legal or not.
