Rhiga is/was waiting on me...as when Yui Arrived I set the stage/tone/intro of her into the book world...and Rhiga thought that it would be the same for her...and I had been slacking and had not realized this...but we chatted...and things should be moving again soon. 3nodding Kouji_no_miko Kouji settled himself on the hard ground near the house and looked at the blanket thoughtfully. "Be to stupid to not use it," he decided to himself. "Be weak to though," he then argued. "Yeah well it'd be offensive if I didn't," he retorted to himself. "Yeah cause you wouldn't look like a wimp or nothin' Kouji," he mocked himself. "Sheesh arguing with yourself can hurt sometimes," he decided as he debated over using the blanket. At last the bandit gave into one half of his mind and lay down with the blanket, his sword still sheathed safely against his belt. "I hope Genrou ain't fretting too much, he's gonna kill me." *The stray slaver made his way backacross the way in front of the house, watching Kouji prepare himself for sleep....he did not look THAT foreign...plus...he was not a she, but perhpas they could have use for him as well. They would bring enough men that even if this stranger was still there...they would still have no trouble claiming the prize. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Rihga A flash of crimson light flickered out of the corner of the girl's eye. She turned her head a bit, blinking in wonder. The book on the table was glowing red, like something out of a fantasy movie!
"Oh no, I broke Yui-chan's book!" she cried, rushing back over to the table and reaching for the old text. "I'm sorry, please stop doing that, I didn't mean it, I just--"
As soon as her hand touched the corner of the book the crimson light flared brilliantly, engulfing her in a wave of scarlet brilliance... And then dizziness overtook her, and everything went black. "Hey look...Over there! "She looks weird..." "Better make sure she's still alive..." "You do it...she's dressed funny...I don't wanna touch her..." And then there was a brief near silence. A light breeze and the sound of the trickling brook were all that could be heard for a moments time. The strange girl was laying on the bank of the brook, her legs partially submerged int he flowing water, and these three children had come across her in their last bit of playing before they had to go in for the night. Finally...light footsteps and inaudibale whispers matched the brook sounds, and a small twig began poking at the young girls side. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Kitty Little Tomo breathed a quiet sigh of relief when he finally made it to the gate where the envoy was awaiting his return. When he was a safe distance from civillian eyes, he dropped all of his illusions. It was a relief to his mind, which had been enduring a fair amount of stress trying to maintain the various illusions. He lead the horse carrying his prey as far as the carriage where he sensed the shogun was waiting. Only then did he removed the poisoned feathers from the bandit; enough poison would have been absorbed by now.
"I have returned, Nakago-sama," he said loud enough for the shogun to hear, in the rare event that he had not sensed the illusionist's arrival. The carraige door pushed open and Nakago took a look at the bandit, lain crudely across the horse. He handed the whip to Tomo.
"Tie his wrists and lets get him inside. We have spent enough time here...and the night is still young."
This stranger would be an interesting topic to pass the time while they left Kutou...the needed only get so far...
He called out to the head of the envoy.
"Move out."
By the time the front had gotten going, they would have Tasuki in the carraige and be on their way as well.
"Not your ordainary insurgent...and a foreigner as well..."

"Move out."

"Not your ordainary insurgent...and a foreigner as well..." Tomo accepted the whip, and bound his captive's hands. He lugged the man inside, setting him down on a seat. He reached into the folds of the his clothes and pulled out a small vial.
"When you care to interrogate our stranger, let me know," he said with a smirk, "And if you want to see what I saw..." He did not need to finish the sentence. Tomo sat down, more than happy to get off his feet.
His task had been tiresome, but of course, worth it if it meant being useful to Nakago. He held out the object he had been carrying for some time now, "And the weapon..." He waited for the shogun to take the tessen, surely he would want to inspect the tool that breathed fire.
It was dark already, and there was a long road ahead, but at least their trip would certainly be an interesting one from here on out.

He waited for the shogun to take the tessen, surely he would want to inspect the tool that breathed fire. "Soon enough...but for now...Yes...I would like to see what this foreigner is capable of."
He took the Tessen from Tomo's waiting hand and glanced it over. It was not that miraculous in its design, or material...but having seen what it was capable of...or at least what it was used for through the powers of their unconscious guest, he knew it was not just a mere trifle. Finally, after a bit more thorough evaluation, he tucked it neatly into his belt for the time being. It did not fit with the guise of the soldier...but at least there he knew where it was at all times. Finally the carriage was up to speed, and the envoy was clearly out of the city. They still had a long ways to Konan...but it would not be long until they were exactly where they were supposed to be. They could pass the short time by watching the images from Shin, and then afterwards, use that knowledge with their slumbering guest.

Finally...light footsteps and inaudibale whispers matched the brook sounds, and a small twig began poking at the young girls side. Miaka drifted back to reality slowly - painfully slowly, in fact, and the pain was made even more noticeable because her stomach wouldn't stop grumbling. And why were her legs so cold? And what was that weird poking feeling in her side? After a moment of agitated half-consciousness, Miaka finally found a grasp on the real world. Her eyes fluttered opened and she saw a blurred, brown something heading towards her abdomen again. Her stomach grumbled and her brain clicked into gear.
"POCKY!" she cried, leaping up and chomping her mouth down around the stick. Two seconds later her taste buds finally brought her fully awake and she pulled back, spitting out bits of bark and rubbing hard at her mouth. "Ack! Definitely not pocky."
She blinked, staring up at the three strangely-dressed children gathered around her, then at the water flowing across her feet. "Oh, great..." Miaka pulled her feet gingerly from the stream, shivering against the cool breeze. She glanced back up at the children, flashing an embarrassed smile as she unbuckled her shoes. "Um... hi. My name's Miaka. Um..." her eyes darted back and forth across the clearing, which was definitely not Yui's kitchen, then back up to the kids. "I'm not trying to be rude or anything, but... am I dreaming you? And if I am, when are you going to turn into chocolate-chip ice cream?"(Hehe, I changed my mind. Playing Miaka is gonna be fun ^^; )

Nakago "Soon enough...but for now...Yes...I would like to see what this foreigner is capable of." Tomo produced Shin, and began the simple task of transmitting the images from his mind into the clam. When finished, he commanded the shell open, and he projected the transferred images onto the blank door. He showed as many images as he could, from all the different angles his clones had seen from. The actually fighting had been short, but Tomo trusted that they could learn quite a bit from what little they saw.

Devils_Pet Hotohori looked at him. " Uh... are you alright?" he walked over to the other warrior and sat down. " Is it that surpirsing that I have it? Haha," he laughed out. Chichiri sweatdropped and laughed sheepishly.
"No not at all, it made sense for you to have it heika no da. Anou, I was trying to find out where the priestess had appeared. I think I have an idea. She's close to the capital na no da."

The gait of his horse caused his hips to sway mildly from side to side in response. At such a gentle gait as this he was making steady progress and yet could 'admire' the scenary around him - granted he wasn't there to appreciate it but even so, the changes in buildings and landscape helped him to realise that he was definately on his way into the city. The buildings for one, became more frequent and the 'traffic' of people was significantly larger.
Pursing his lips, the young seishi followed the route of the river, diverging from it briefly as it entered a forest and then once more merging with it on his journey towards the capital - it had been a while, but with such a booming economy there was no doubt in his mind that he would be able to locate a job of some suitable ranking.
Merchant. Mercenary. Bodyguard.
The opportunities were endless...

Kitty Little "Yeah," Suboshi agreed as he rose. It was already getting dark, and if it was going to rain, he did not want to be caught in it. "I wonder if the village is much further..." He could not quite remember the distance from the stream to the village, if there even was a village. They had stayed in dozens of villages, each one in the same sorry state; it was difficult to keep track of them all. Amiboshi waited until his brother had returned to his side before starting to walk away from the stream, walking a bit faster than before, afarid that the rain my come soon. "I hope so..." Amiboshi replied after hearing Suboshi's comment. They had not seen anybody on the path yet so that usually met that the nearest village was still a ways off.

Chiriko woke up and immediatly looked outside the carriage's window. A palace stood before him, it's shadow overhead.
"The capitol...This must be where I am suppose to be.."
Stepping out of the carraige, Chiriko looked around at all the villagers. Then an angry man pushed Chiriko aside.
"Kid, move out of the way, I got goods to sell." He shouted, then leaving Chiriko still on the ground, still trying to figure out what happened. But before he reached his conclusion, the red mark of Suzaku on his foot started glowing.
"Huh? M-My mark..."

Kouji relaxed on the ground and listened to the sounds of the night. He should sleep now but he didn't believe he could. He closed his eyes in an attempt to slumber and became to mutter to himself. "Wonder if Gernou's looking for me or if he's in some tavern drinking sake. Probably the second one, that's usually the case. Besides, after two years he should've learnt by now that I'm the better at surviving of the two of us." His thoughts then wandered, "I wonder where Yui comes from, that strange land of litbubs or whatever they were. I reckon she's more lost than you are Kouji, a lot more."
Yeah I don't know when you want Genrou to wake up, just let me know

It was some measure of relief to be close, though it did not mean their troubles were over. In fact, things would, more likely than not, be tough once they reached the village. So many of these small, shabby towns were starved for money as well as food. If they were not careful, they could end up victims of some scheme to get money, like that weird guy on the road almost had.

Back...sorry for the delay. We'll get him back in soon...and I think we can re-integrate kouji in the morning... sweatdrop Must get control...of time... sweatdrop And yes...there are three children...I just have not been differentiating them.. sweatdrop Rihga "POCKY!" she cried, leaping up and chomping her mouth down around the stick. Two seconds later her taste buds finally brought her fully awake and she pulled back, spitting out bits of bark and rubbing hard at her mouth. "Ack! Definitely not pocky."

If one were painting the scene...it would be entitled "Children with Sweatdrops"...for that is what was created in a split second. Massive sweatdrops to match the nature of the comments put forth to them. "I told you she was weird..." "Hush you!" Hello Mi-ak-a. No...you are not dreaming us." "Hey...She is older...if she is with us we can stay out and play later!" - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Kouji_no_miko Kouji relaxed on the ground and listened to the sounds of the night. His thoughts then wandered, "I wonder where Yui comes from, that strange land of litbubs or whatever they were. I reckon she's more lost than you are Kouji, a lot more." The scout had confirmed it, and he made his way back to the hideout to report to the rest the situation. As soon as the farmer left the next morning... - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Kitty Little Tomo produced Shin, and began the simple task of transmitting the images from his mind into the clam. The actually fighting had been short, but Tomo trusted that they could learn quite a bit from what little they saw. Nakago watched Tomo's projections and took in all he felt he needed, expressionlessly. He only finally broke the meloncholly with a smirk as they reached the expected point along the road. Shortly after he smirker, muffled sounds could be heard just outside all around the carraige. Some thuds, a muffled scream or two and generally just sounds as if they were being attacked. In actuality, Nakago's assassins were doing their job as commended in the palace. All the soldiers and members of the envoy who were completely loyal to the Emperor were being removed from the picture. The last to go was the driver of their carraige...a small muffled gurgle and then he fell of the drivers spot to the side of the carraige. Each person replaced with one of Nakago's assassins. One rode up to the carraige and spoke."Everything done as you ordered Shogun." "Good. Continue on to Konan as planned, and send word to the troops to begin moving towards the border cities."
