The waiter seemed less than willing to be here, much less serve them. Rin wrote it off as they were seated and she picked up a menu to look at. She glanced around, still a little lost. Dating was something she was...naive to, basically.

Shou looked at the menu, taking her time to order. "Hm.... what about the caesar salad with a shank of lamb...." She said, knowing it was quite good at this restaurant. Putting down her menu, she smiled, studying Rin. She was taking in everything about this girl that she could. The way that she was almost squirming, the fact she was so nervous. Everything about her. So adorable, so lovable. She got lost into studying Rin, just taking the other girl in, and smiling softly.

(( tis fine ))

Ian blushed a bit at hearing all of Gilly's usual teasing, but once she dragged him to the vendor, and read aloud the sign. He blushed even more. It took a few seconds, but he looked to Gilly and nodded. "Yeah."

He then looked to the vendor once more, looking over the different bracelets... hmmm...

"Which pair do you like?" He asked her, still looking.

"Boy. You're red." Gilly pointed out bluntly, but smiled and took Ian's hand in her own, and with her other hand, covered his eyes. "We'll pick together. How's that sound?"

With Ian's hand in hers, Gilly folded his fingers in hers, so that only Ian's and her index finger was out. Waving their joined hands erratically in the air, Gilly closed her own eyes, and after about half a minute, she stopped, their fingers pointing to a pair of bracelets.

The pair had leather that looked worn, well-worked into the tender submission it was now. One band was darker, and the other was a lighter hue. The lighter one was skinnier as well, and the rocks that were set in it were a bright rose with a glimmer of violet. The darker band had cool green stones, almost endless when one peered into it's clear, smooth face. It was a mellow stone, with hints of turquoise and deep blue.

"I guess we're taking that pair." Gilly chuckled, and removed her hand from Ian's eyes. The vendor muttered something gruffly, and scooped up the pair with his old, worn hands, and placed them in Gilly's open palm. In exchange, Gilly placed a few bills in his leathery palm, and he sat back in his chair, waiting for the next customer to arrive.

Ian blushed a little more once Gilly pointed it out. Though, when she said they'd both choose, he couldnt help but smile a little with the blushing. Those bands... once Gilly took her hand away from his face so he could see, seeing those bracelets... they reminded him of both himself and Gilly... the lighter one's gems like Gilly's beautiful eyes... the darker gems on the other one like his...

"Wow... talk about a heck of a pick..." Ian commented, sort of wanting to put one on.

"I know, right? We've got good decision making skills." Gilly laughed, and untied the lighter band from the other, and held it up. "It really is gorgeous. I think..." Gilly paused, looked back at the old man. He peered at the bracelet, and nodded to Ian. "This one's yours. Here, let me put it on you..." She murmured, and took a hold of Ian's wrist.

It was quite a contrast, to Ian's tanner skin. Positioning Ian's wrist in the position that she wanted, Gilly tied the bracelet on him, tying a tight knot, tugging on it briefly to make sure it wouldn't fall off as he was running or working or fighting. "There. I think the lighter ones are supposed to symbolize the female in the relationship." Gilly paused, and looked back to the old man for clarity.

The old man got up, and walked out of his booth, and looked at the pair, and then at the bracelets. He smiled, and then pointed to Ian's bracelet. "The lighter bracelet is to symbolize the purity of a woman's heart. She is pure, clean, innocent. She is strong, and has a good moral compass. But she is tender enough to brush away the streaks of pain upon your chest." The old man clapped Ian on the shoulder. "The darker bracelet is the symbol of the man. He is tough, worn, with his companion, through thick and thin. He has a lion's heart, his hands are rough, but, when they touch a woman's skin, they become soft and loving. He is hard to comprehend, and he is stoic. But, he has a large heart, that only the maiden he loves, can enter. He can love a woman like no other animal. His love for his companion is the reason why man has evolved from primates. The reason a man wears the lighter one, and a woman wears the darker, is so that they will always be with each other. Until the bracelet is gone."

The old man shrugged, and coughed. "It's old fashioned, I admit. Not too many couples swing by here. They think it's stupid. Silly. They say that times have moved on. But I think there's still some traces of it here." The old man looked from Gilly and Ian, and then nodded. "Yup. It's here, alright."

THE MOON FAMILY

User ImageUser ImageUser ImageUser Image

Barasia and Bell were walking throught the Shopping District looking for Bree. "Where is she?" Barasia asked. Bree and Alex just happened to come out of their last store before heading back to the dorms. Bree looked at her two sisters. "B-Bell?" She asked as tears welled up in her eyes. Bell and Barasia turned around. "Bree!" Bell said enveloping her little sister in a hug. "Hey Bree!" Barasia said. Breannin looked in Barasia's direction and snarled. "BARASIA!!!" "Oh crud." Was all Barasia could say before Breannin tackled her to the ground. "Hey! Breannin! No!" Alex yelled pulling Breannin off of her. "Let me go Alex!" "Not until you calm down." Breannin pouted and crossed her arms. "Why don't we find some where more private to talk." Bell Suggested. Alex nodded. "Bree go with your sisters. I'll take everything home and catch up with you guys." Bree nodded.

Ian nodded at Gilly's words and held still for her as she tied the bracelet on him. Though, when Gilly mentioned the lighter of the pair representing the female of the relationship, he thought for a moment and was going to question as to why he was wearing the lighter one. But the old man spoke up and elaborated.

so, that way they would always be with eachother...

that sentence struck Ian a bit. He looked to the old man and smiled to him with a nod.

He then looked back to Gilly, his smile softening and he took her hand in his."let me tie the other one on you, then..."

(Masato and Ayame enter from the Academy Basement/Tunnels)

This was......incredible. Masato had all but forgotten what it was like to walk on two legs, to not have fur, or to be human for that matter. That fox charm Ryuuji had allowed him to maintain his human form so long as he had it, though the moment it was taken off his person, he'd turn back into a fox. It also felt strange not to have a soft, bushy tail swishing behind him to augment his balance as he deftly ran or walked along precarious surfaces, as he did now while walking effortlessly on a steel railing separating the path from the trees and bushes along the avenue he and Ayame were on. He apparently maintained nearly all the balance and skill he had as a human and he didn't care if what he was doing made him look like an overgrown child dressed like a Yakuza underboss either. It just felt good to be human once more. Masato twisted slightly and jumped down, landing next to Ayame with nary a sound as they continued walking and he felt their fingers curl and lock around each other's simultaneously. Fingers and hands, his left and her right...not paws....so unreal after four long years...raw emotion practically seeped through their skin despite their seemingly calm and normal appearance as they walked together and their grips tightened over each other's. They were close enough as humans to not need words to express many of the things they felt and that aspect of them had not changed. What they did told each other that they'd never be driven apart or separated again...not now...not ever.

The autumn leaves blew past them as they continued and the edges of Masato's suit jacket blew lightly in the wind next to Ayame as he and Ayame came to an open area where people gathered by the shops and they saw Gilly and Ian a few meters from a vendor's stand. Ayame's silver-framed non-recognition glasses made them both oblivious to her presence from that distance while neither Gilly nor Ian knew what Masato looked like as a human. His voice also sounded somewhat different from the way it did when he was in fox form. Perfect. Just perfect. Masato and Ayame smiled and chuckled at each other slyly as they passed and Masato had his hand over Ayame's shoulder. They soon came to the vendor's stand and Masato bent down slightly to take a look at what they had while Ayame kept a fair distance...enough to be within arm's reach of Masato but far enough so Gilly and Ian weren't in the non-recognition field's minimum range. It didn't take long for Masato to find something he liked....a dark-grey iron cross with a crimson ribbon attached to it. The old man who owned the stand saw he had more customers and slowly walked over and took at look at Masato's choice.

"Old style for a young fella like you. Do you know what that cross means?" he asked Masato before Ayame took a step forward and took it from Masato's hand while examining it. It was a replica, albeit an accurate one. "The king of Prussia originally awarded these to the brave soldiers and citizens who fought in and contributed to the war effort so that they would never have to bow to a foreign tyrant and oppressor," Ayame spoke before handing it back to Masato. "Red represents the blood and bravery of the people while the iron cross itself represents strength, honor, their willingness to sacrifice, and nobility," Masato told the old man while holding the replica of the iron cross in his palm. "Hehe...I guess somebody paid attention in history class. I'll give you a discount on that," the old man crossed his arms and grinned. "How much?" Masato asked before the old man gave him a figure and Masato grinned and paid him the full price instead.

He and Ayame walked away with their new "toy," though it was anything but that to them. It was a symbol of their clan and what it would take to free them from the yoke of their corrupt elders, who to them were no better than foreign tyrants and oppressors with the way they were planning to sell their brothers and sisters out. They, like the brave German and Prussian soldiers who fought to preserve their country's honor and keep their people free hundreds of years ago, would fight to do the same for their clan and people...even if there were only two of them with the means to do it and bring the truth to light.

"S-sure. Don't cut off my circulation now." Gilly blushed slightly, holding out her wrist, and looking away. The explanation from the old man made her a feel like she was a little girl now. She really was a sucker for the overly romantic stuff. Putting a hand up to her cheek, Gilly sighed quietly. Now she was the one who was red.

Sneaking a peek at Ian as he tied the bracelet, Gilly thought about his smile he shot at her before she looked away. 'I don't think I've ever seen Ian smile like that. It was a lot more..tender. It was kinda...cool.' She thought, but grimaced. 'I suddenly feel like that's just an understatement. Sheesh. Old people...gotta go sappy on me.'

As Ian tied it on, Gilly maintained her lack of eye contact by looking around her. A pair of adults approached the old man, as Gilly spectated. They were a young couple, handsome and beautiful. Their walk was elegant and smooth, and they walked with grace and poise. They seemed to be calm in the sea of people, walking side by side through the throng of students. 'At least the old man's getting business. I wonder if he really meant what he said...' Gilly thought, but turned her attention back on Ian.
PostPosted: Tue May 24, 2011 4:01 pm

Since when did she blush like that? Ian thought, and made sure not to tie the bracelet on Gilly's wrist too tight. He'd rather not get a scolding or something."there..." he itterated once he finished, he looked to Gilly once again, trying to make eye contact with her. "Everything alright, love?" He questioned, noticing her grimace earlier. He certainly hoped everything was alright... he then made a quick glance towards the older couple, before looking back to Gilly.

Demon aura flickered around the shipping district, strongly pouring out enough to make anyone who could sense it flinch and non-humans react. If Axel were still in control, he'd be wondering why the demon was rushing for the cathedral, but either way, that's where it was going, moving too fast for humans to see unless they really paid attention, but a mere blur of movement that knocked some people over, and made more confused humans yelp and gasp in surprise. Ian was slightly shoved aside as the blur passed him and Gilly, but just as soon as it happened, the aura faded to a slightly weaker dull tone as the beast fled for the cathedral nearby. The demo nwasn't sure what made it go there, but something about Axel's own ideas imprinted in the demon's instincts, so it just followed them.

"Huh? Yeah, yeah..everything's fine." Gilly reassured him, making eye contact. She held it there for a second, before patting Ian lightly on the cheek, taking his head in her hands. Peering up at his eyes, Gilly looked at him for a long time, before pulling his face gently down, toward her, and she planted a light kiss on his lips, hers lingering for a moment, before pulling away.

"Thanks, 'Love'. It looks beautiful." Gilly grinned, admiring her bracelet. It was a bit big for her skinny wrists, and the dark leather contrasted with her fairer skin. It hung loosely on her wrist, so that when she raised her arm, it fell down her arm a good distance, and when she held her arm by her side, it seemed like it was on the verge of falling off her wrist.

Taking Ian's hand in hers, Gilly looked forward, swinging her hand. "So, where to now?" She asked, not looking back. 'What's wrong with me! I feel so...so shy now. Ian looked really awesome just a second ago, and I just stared at him for forever, and now he probably thinks I'm a dork. ' Gilly thought, blushing again. 'But I wonder...I've always said I like Ian. A lot. But maybe this is more...?'

As Gilly sensed demon aura, (as it was fairly easy for her to sense it, herself being half) she squeezed Ian's hand gently, and her eyes darted around the scene. Gilly looked back and saw Ian shoved a bit. Her arm reached out to grasp his shoulder and stabilize him, as she watched as the blur rushed past her. Her eyes traced the blur as it darted past toward the cathedral, but she couldn't focus them, to really recognize what it was.

Kage appears out of the shadows in a nearby ally so no one would see him. He looks around and sees many people but not who he is looking for. He places his hands on the ground and closes his eyes. "Found yah!" He says as he sensed were Axel went. Kage walked back into the ally and vanished into the shadows once again.

Rin quietly made her order to the waiter, a simple order of roasted chicken. He took their menus and left them. Rin kept her hands in her lap until she looked up to see Shou staring at her and smiling. "I-is there something wrong?" She asked, not sure what else to ask or say.

Shou glanced at Rin. "I'm just taking in how beautiful you look..." She said, taking Rin's hand and holding it in her own. She, having ordered, was now trying to think of some topic to talk about. "Do you know how to play questions?" She asked, looking at Rin, wondering if she knew any conversational games. This was one of her favorites by far. It was great at getting to know the other person.
