Iluday looks at Ardra with raised eyebrow before muttering something he knows he deserves to be slapped for saying. "So you'd prefer more girls?" In the end, Iluday had decided to say it in a way so as he could play it off in case he had totally missed with his odd sense of humor. Laughing to himself at his own jumbled thoughts, he stumbles out the door into the night, heading in the direction he believes the house to be in.

Ardra's cute nose twisted in distaste at the idea and she swatted at him impatiently, paying the bar tender a handsome sum of money before wondering off into the street steering Iluday in the proper direction of her house.
"No. I am rather fond of my opposite sex, but when they're constantly badgering you about phone numbers, adresses, contacting me later and all that gunk it makes the evening a tad bit less enjoyable. Seeing as its almost like playing a game of some sort. Telling lies and the such." Once more her hand raised and she waved the comment away like a bad odor.

: Everything occured so swiftly that before Varian knew it, Durant had left, leaving her with a small square of paper in her palm. So, fire, is it? She placed the contact card in her pocket; all the while her eyes remained on the dusty ashes scattered across the table. Father Cane was engaged in some dysfunctional discussion with the man at the next table, and intruiging as it was, the man that had recieved the brunt of Durant's monologue caught and kept her attention. She almost felt bad for him; Durant had been rather harsh with him. He looked familiar...Wasn't he one of the men from the beach? She couldn't think of anything to say to him; she just shifted her gaze from the faint ashes to the man. :

Iluday gives a drunken grin. "And that right there is why I don't like dancing with people I don't know. I don't like decieving people personally, I like decieving everyone impersonally, like making myself look like a tree." And then he goes down. Iluday was a little clumsy usually, but the alcohol definitely made it worse. Standing, he ignores his scraped knees for the moment as he continues in the direction of the house.

Rein stood silently, watching the scene. Durant, the man who bought the world with his own hands... well, I have to have some respect for that, he thought. Turning towards father Cane, and politly ignoring the electric mage, he said, "why, thank you, sir. I am sorry to you, as well, for my outburst." He smiled widely; a smile that won friends in moments, because it was a smile of true contentment with oneself, and with the world around him. "Do you mind if I order?" he asked, taking the seat offered, "I'm famished, and you both look like you could use a little somthing."

Ardra rolled her eyes as he grinned and then tottered and fell down only to rise back up and stumble towards the house. "You couldn't make yourself look like a tree if you tried. And you've obviously had to much to drink. Here let me help you." The words were soft and only slightly slurred, she hadn't drunk even close enough to get drunk. Slowly she moved up to Iluday and slid an arm around him encouraging him to lean on her as she moved in the direction of the house.

: Varian's gaze was broken as a man sat himself across from her. "Oh, uh, yes...Food would be nice." As if on cue, a waiter appeared at the end of the table. "May I take your orders?" Varian ordered a plate of orange chicken with a side of fried rice and waited for the other men to order. She was curious about the company she had found herself in despite her exaustion. Varian glanced at the man who had caused Durant's departure out of the corner of her eye. She would make small talk with these men, eat, and go to bed. Bed, she thought, what a wonderful word. :

Father Cane let out a breath. Drama, drama, drama. Rein gave him a kind smile and took the liberty of seating himself adjacant to the Father. He nodded in acknowledgement of the man's apology, and then raised his gaze to the waiter. "Tea is fine, thank you."

"No, wait, you don't have to, it's..." However, as much as he didn't want to lean on her and force her to support him, Iluday couldn't very well walk properly on his own. "Thank you. I shouldn't drink so much. I hope you had fun tonight." Trying to steal away most of his weight onto himself as possible, he lets Ardra help him out. "Ardra...you're a good person...er, elf, I guess."

"Fried rice and chicken dumplings would be fine for now," Rein said. He turned to Father Cane. "So, what brings you to this fabled floating city?" He asked.

Ardra rolls her eyes, tightening her grip on her companion as they suffer towards her house. "Its ok, I had fun and drink away. Part of the fun is getting drunk. And no, I'm not all that great." She easily shrugged off the last comment, finding it to be slightly amusing. "You're a funny human, you know? Staying in my home without honestly knowing me and going out for drinks with me without honestly knowing me..." the thought trailed off, her eyes staring upwards for a moment before moving on.

Iluday laughs loudly, a bit too loudly, as she comments on his behavior. "Ya, I always have been kinda strange. I guess I just like to trust people, take them at face value. You seemed nice, and I was willing to trust that, and look, I haven't gotten myself into any real trouble yet. I'm not a kid, I don't have to worry about strangers luring me into their homes with promises of sweets, I figure I'm safe staying wherever..." Looking upwards into the night sky as they near the house, Iluday smiles; even with blurred vision, it was still beautiful. "I'm glad you live away from the city, the stars aren't as pretty there..."

With Iluday's laughter ringing in her sensitive ears she winced slightly, a thin smile spreading over her features as he did so.
"You trust to easy. Not everyone is nice, as you sleep in your drunken stupor tonight I could kill you with that oh-so-soft bed that I made. It wouldn't take hardly any effort, a thought at best. Rearrange their genetic make up, tweek a few things and in no time I could cut off your air supply. Perhaps by slipping a vine around your neck, sliding a huge leaf over your mouth and having the vines slowly tighten until your throat can no longer open and close to permit air. Although with your abilities it might be possible to seep the required air into your lungs...how would you get the carbon out?" She paused, stopping in her spot her long hair hanging agianst her back as she thought for a moment. Ardra had ranted to long, thinking about it far to much for a elf that wouldn't dream of doing such a thing to her newly found compaion.
"I'm sorry Iluday, I hope that didn't frighten you off. I'm sure you'd be able to take me in a heart beat. I'm no match for anyone." With a light hearted chuckle she continued to trudge on with the weight of Iluday on her. The slim frame she had was built tough, at least she liked to think so. Now was a time she needed it, as she supported her drunken friend.
The malachite colored eyes turning to the mentioned stars, the smile now returning in full. "The stars have always been lovely. Although not the reason I live away from the town. The plants like open air. Or at least as open as my house is."
