I huffed, "We're supposed to be able to do it naturally. but since I haven't found someone that can do that...I'm screwed. But I can just take care of it myself, Alex can u come with me. I need a way to get back."

Reality morphed around us then, we were surrounded by the familiar scenes of the mall. "Okay, "I said turning to Alex, "I'm going to run into JCPenny, wipe the guard's mind, and come back. you don't have to come with me into the stor, but I'll need you to stay with me when we reach the guard. Got it?"With that, I ran off, but made sure that she could see where I was going. Thank God, the home furnishings were in the front. I grabbed a black, white, and red confoter set with sheets. and an oriental lantern to match. Quickly putting them in a bag, I ran back out.

"Yeah, perfect." I said, holding 2 big bags. "Do you hear that?!" I heard it again,step, step, step. "Someone's here! Follow me!!" I hissed. I darted off to the hallway door that was by Abercrombie, and waited for Alex to catch up.

So Shane had somewhat gotten over me waking him up. He really hated it when I did that, just to annoy him. Only made it more fun, and hey, I'm his little sister, its my job. He sat now, in my room, silently getting on my nerves by watching television. Every TV in the house had this channel, why why why, did he have to choose my room. But I wouldn't give him the satisfaction, so I put my iPod head phones in my ears and cranked up the volume.

"No, Alex, that is not just us. I think one of the other guards is coming!" I ran down the hallway to the Security room and found the guard I had controlled earlier. Walking up to him, I got to the point. My eyes started glowing. "Human! turn all of the security systems back on. ALarms, security cameras, the works!" He turned in his chair and pushed a few buttons and the monitors came back to life. I was about to leave when I remembered, "Oh, you will remember none of this!" With that, my hand came down and he fell out of his chair.

I nodded, and recited the spell, landing us right back on the couch. Ouch, we where supposed to be standing up, sorry.

Shane looked back and smiled. It never failed, no matter what, she always fell asleep when she needed it. It didn't matter what was going on around her, Scarlet would fall asleep if she was ready to sleep and she wanted sleep. So Shane stood up and walked back downstairs.
