Debrah turned her head back to Valin and Eldrich, her face fierce and eyes glowing.
"Stop bickering like children!" she screamed. Then, calm moving across her face, she added, "We've arrived."
They stood at the outskirts of the ruins now, the broken buildings standing before them. But there were strange happenings here. Debrah could feel the pull on her energy stronger than ever, as if it was being yanked out of her by unseen and hungry hands. And this was not Debrah's only concern. They were not alone.
"We've got undead, Eldrich," she said, looking unimpressed. "I believe that's your forte."

Eldrich sighs and walks forward toward one of the undead. He reaches out his hand and it begins glowing with a bright and glorious light, that could instantly bring down any undead he struck. He immediately waved his hand toward one of the undead and shot a small amount of positive energy that should still be able to take it out.

Jet's eyes quickly became fully black as he faced the ruins that the black dust had disappeared into. That dust had behaved too akwardly to not be Torren's way of escaping. It was then that Jet felt it. He could feel other powers than his own and the natural draw of the place. There were two persons with power to his left and four more behind him. He recognized one very well, the one that was Asmoday. The other three were vaguly familiar, the same of the people that were in the library earlier in the day. Jet looked around at the twenty undead that were trying to get near him, but once one got within five feet of Jet, it seemed to scream in pain and back off. Jet smirked and rubbed the ring on his finger. Jet could not be corrupted by anything here and the undead could not get near him and it had nothing to do with his power.

Sovern observed Mizar coldly, arms folded. He would take her energy for himself soon, but not until she was at her maximum capacity. He was nothing if not efficient.
"I fail to see how this is my problem, Mizar," he said, considering, for a moment, what the presence of other beings might mean to him. "No one knows that I'm here. It is unlikely that they are seeking me out...The demonic and celestial energies might be kindred souls, and if that is the case I will kill them before they have a chance to interfere."
Sovern glanced at the rotting corpse Mizar had disenchanted, frowning slightly.
"Still, the presence of undead here worries me," he said, keeping his eyes on the once-mobile corpse. "I have clashed with necromancers before, and I have no hesitation should I have to face one again, but this means that someone else has already tried to harness the energy here. This is not a secret place anymore."
With Mizar distracted, the fog that filled Sovern's mind had dispersed, temporarily. But, with her energies diverted, his mind had sharpened, and with it came the weariness that polluted his thoughts. He waved his hand, idly, over the golden chain that connected him to his tiny captive and it expanded, creating new links that clattered to the floor, allowing the distance between the two to grow. Sovern walked slowly over to a large rock, once a part of a wall, perhaps, or a pillar, and sat, his chin resting on his hand.
"Be quick, Mizar," he said. "I want to leave this place behind me soon."

Eldrich turned to Debrah after vanquishing the undead, "It's strange, I'm feeling a stronger pull here than before. Do you think the source of this phenomenon is close by?" Eldrich felt he knew the answer, but what was it causing the pull? Was it a guardian of the ruins, or something else?

"Perhaps. Quite frankly, I think that's the least we can ask for, there could be much more threatening creatures in these ruins than a spellcaster, so let's just pray for the best." Eldrich said, he was nervous, though it didn't show. Not for his own life, or Debrah's for that fact, but Valin's, he felt sure that, at the least, him and Debrah could get away from something too powerful, but he didn't know if Valin could. Had this elf willingly and foolhardily charged right into his own death? Would his blood be on Eldrich's hands? No, he must abandon these thoughts, for once his mind is clouded, he could get distracted, and accidentally lead the party into imminent death.

"I doubt that's a good idea. Don't charge recklessly in, the ancients still could have set several traps that haven't been sprung." Eldrich said, he had no idea what awaited them in this area, "So tread warily."
