Like zombies every once in awhile people you thought you knew start to act strangley and it spreads to others until some paranoid person realizes what is wrong and people actually stop and say, "ya, I think he's right this time."
Then it usually only takes half a dozen citizens armed with shotguns and an expert or two to set everything back to the norm so we can talk about catgirls and tentacle monsters breaking into peoples homes in the middle of the night before we kill them*.
*It just isn't as exciting to talk about slaying monsters that didn't attack first and were thus unprepared for the repeated puncture wounds and whatnot-

Hey Rictus,
Do you know anything about what sort of conditions preempt a zombie outbreak and similar conaminants? (other than the completely obvious ones.) I'm thinking that there may be some simple overlooked thing that can easily trump these sorts of things, like a dictionary in this case.
