I remember in year 12 chemistry, I think we were playing with titration, or esters or something, but the lab partner opposite me poured acid straight into water, really fast. sweatdrop
We had to use eye-washers.

lol sounds like me in year 12, i got diluted HCl down my microfibre pants, luckily it wasnt strong enough to eat thorugh the pants fully before i got home xd

Lucky you that you've survived two such incidents so far! blaugh lol i coiuld also say i got a shitload of dichlolmethane (very carcinagenic) all over my gloves and it went straight through 2 layers... all becasue i had a shitty pipette, and one of my mates was using pyridine outside the fume hood, and ditched some in a bin enxt to us, it stank the bin out everytume we opened it.... and it can sterilise you... but thats not fun xd

I forgot I had conc. hydrochloric in my hand and was talking to Lexi and I move my hands when I talk... it went all over me and Lexi and on her calculator... I came out fine with nothing but burning, but lexi's jeans were bleached and her calculator has holes all through it >_>

You're lucky that the skin of your hand wasn't seriously eaten away, aren't you? blaugh rofl I guess at Uni you play with real, serious industrial strength stuff, I guess? I considered doing a double science/arts degree at the end of last year, but now I think I'm better off reading three dozen books in a month!! xd

The nitrile ones irritate my skin. I lost four layers of skin the last time I was there 3nodding It bleeds 3nodding Mom doesn't think being a chemist is the right job choice for me xp

lol i cofess isee that damn zathura sign everyday for the past 3 weeks..., and mel there are other gloves you can wear... jsut say tyat you are allergic to the nitrile ones when med inorgs going
