Eclipse's nose caught something. Something new. It was a man, and...a jackal? He knew the smell of jackals. He had often protected Aurahkah back in Egypt from them. Taking off down the halls, tiny paws clicking against the marble floors he came skidding into the kitchen, spotting the two. Oh how he wished he was in his true form now. But still ha bared tiny fangs, flared tiny wings, and snarled at them. "Who are you!?"

Bastet continued walking until she heard noises. Quickly she crouched down defensively and her ears perked up on alert. She looked around only to see Aurahkah stumbling around. She stood and went over to her, "Aura?" Seeing the blood and the disoriented look on her face, she shifted her items around to take her arm and help her get to the mansion, "What happened to you?" Damn, I will have to do this later.

"Heel, Ranjin HEEL!" go up to your room," Torrigan bowed to the creature in front of him. "Forgive me, and my bafoon of a jackal, he has good intentions, I promise..." He smiled, growing more and more curious by the moment. He could sense a strong power residing in it, or was it a he or she. He looked around, hoping to see one of the few he knew here...

Aura took the support offered to her and managed a smile. Damn those trained smiles. "Bastet...I...." She shook her head for a moment. "I don't' know...I remember getting my cloak...and leaving....then just darkness...and-" stepping through a shadow a tree was casting, Aura momentarily disappeared, then reappeared the next second. She was hyperventilating slightly. "I think this is Eclipse's shadow powers...."
((Announcer voice: Back in the mansion))
The little dark winged wolf keep his attempt at fierce up. "This is my Master Aurahkah's home..." He relaxed himself ever so slightly and snorted himself. He was slightly surprised that his talking didn't disturb the man. "I am Eclipse." He flattened his wings back and jumped up on the table to get a better look at the man. "Forgive me for the attidtudes...jackals were a rival a mine and my masters."

"As well they should have been, devious and nasty creatures. But dont worry about Ranjin, he is no mere Jackal. As i see you are no mere wolf," He bowed his head in sincere respect. "Have you seen Lady Bastet around, I have a few questions about...umm... the manor." Torrigan contorted his mouth into a forced, and akward smile...

Eclipse sat back on his haunches. Wow this was a nice first impression. He'd rather meed people with his eight foot wingspan and three and a half foot height...not in his puppy state that Aurahkah had forced him into for punishment. "Kitty? Er, Bastet..you're the first I've seen today....perhaps I can help you?"

Bastet blinked then took hold of her friend again as she reappeared. "Right...Obviously the shadow powers are not agreeing with you quite right." She abandoned her previous mission. "Let us get you inside." She walked Aura up to the mansion and into it, and got her to sit down, "Why isn't Eclipse with you Aura? You are hurt."

"That would be very much apreciated," Torrigan had the urge the bend down and scratch the puppy behind the ears, but common sense told him to withold. "I have yet to meet your master, though I must thank her for the accomodations, Lady Bastet and a few others helped me get settled in." He stopped for a moment, clutching his gloved hand, he winced but then continued on. "Sorry, terrible arthritus you see." he rolled his eyes at his own explination. Hoping his newfound friend hadn't noticed...

Aura was having trouble processing everything at once...why wasn't Eclipse with her? Good question. "I don't know...I just left...." Taking note of Bastet's comment she surveyed herself, and for the first time noticed the various scratches from trees and underbrush, as well as the blood and rips in her cloak. She shook her head and squeezed her eyes shut for a moment then looked back up to Bastet. "I'm fine...I'll be fine...really. Just a little disoriented and nauseous.
"She'll be pleased to meet you...that is once I find her. Speaking of Bastet..." He lifted his nose to the air and sniffed. Yup, that was the smell of cat...and Aurahkah? And blood too... "Come with me, Bastet's awake as it seems my master has returned." He jumped down from the table and padded from the kitchen towards the great hall.

Bastet patted Aura's hand, "Just calm down for now. You are sitting and in one place. Can you heal yourself? Or am I going to have to drag you to the infirmary?" She heard noise and looked ot see Eclipse, "Clipsy, come over here and help me. Aura has discovered those shadow powers and does not quite know how to control them."

Eclipse trotted over and jumped up into Aurahkah's lap, licking at her. "What happened to you? Where have you been? I was worried." She laid down in her lap, one paw resting on their life bonding bracelet.
Aura chanted her familiar healing spell, casting it upon herself and ran a hand through her hair, straightening it out some. "Thank you Bastet." She then laid a hand to Eclipse's tiny wings. "Don't' worry my friend...you'll just have to teach me how to use these..."
"I feel bad now..." He whimpered, then looked to Torrigan. "Come over here Torrigan." He looked to Aurahkah again. "Aurahkah, this is Torrigan he's new here."

Nailah rubbed her eyes. Seh had been in the library for quite a while and the words were beginning to swim. Dammit! she cursed savagely. Why couldn't she find anything on the dream. She had to know why it continued to haunt her time and time again. She knew it wasn't because she still felt guilty. Although she did. Other things had happened as well but none of them affected her the way this dream did. She heard voices in the great hall and thought about going to investigate. She should keep studying. Finally seh gave up. Walking out into the great hall she saw..."Aura! What happened to you?"

Vik snored quietly, his head resting on an open book. In his dreams, a memory paid him a visit.
He was six and back at his home. He was walking behind his parents...and his brother. His mother turned and faced his brother. "Now Gale. Your father and I have volunteered to help excavate some artifacts from that thing that crashed down during that hurrican. You and Vik can go play. Just don't wander off to far. And don't go near the ruins." With that, they walked away."
"Ok mom! Alright Vik, see if you can catch this one!" Gale stepped back a few feet and threw a small metallic ball. In midair, it unfolded into a drayonfly and started to fly off in a straight line, leaving a trail of glittering dust. Vik chased after it laughing. He dove for it and missed. It hit the ground with a klunk and turned back into a ball which rolled into a hole in the side of the ruined fortress.
"Aw man Vik. Now look what you did. Go get it now!"
"But mommy said not to go near the ruins."
"I don't care. You missed it, now you have to retrieve it. Besides, you're the only one here who can fit in there. Now go!"
Vik climbed slowly into the hole and felt around. He managed to feel the ball and reached for it. "Woah."His foot slipped and he tumbled down a chute and landed on his stomach. He saw the ball fall down to and hit something else metal. Vik was now staring into one gigantic red eye. He backed away slowly and tripped over something. From behind him, a gigantic hand closed around his body as three other hands of the same size punched through the roof.
"Gale! Help!"
"VIK!"
Vik sprang up, wiping cold sweat from his forehead.
"What's wrong? You have another nitemare? Maybe you're working to hard."
"Yeah. You're probably right. I'm gonna get some food."
He walked out of the library and towards the kitchen.

"Hello," He reached into his robes and pulled out a small leather pouch. "I dont know if this poultice will help, but we could try." why couldnt he ever meet people under normal circumstances, a wolf with wings, his host injured. He was a jinx, no doubt about it.
Ranjin slowly walked up, nervously looking at the strange, winged wolf beside him, he looked up at Torrigan, whose eyes flashed when he looked at him, he got the message. Torrigans voice sounded in his head, "Well, there wont be any looking for it today, ah well."
