"His immortality was tied to hers. And she can regenerate her wounds. He may have have been able to survive by that virtue." Sealing the fridge again, he looked at the vacancy left by Bastet. "If he is, and that amulet was left by this Manu, then someone may be nearby. I don't like letting her go out there alone."

Nailah nodded. "Yes but Bastet can take care of herself. And she wouldn't want any help. She's half cat, after all. They tend to be quite independent, not to mention stubborn." She paused a moment and then said thoughtfully, "I wonder why he has waited so long to make his presence known. That is, if he's alive. Which we're not completely sure of."

"He's right. They could act out by themselves. Zues Alchemist have been known to place certain traps in their experiments in case something goes wrong. So if one of the crystals becomes uncontrolable, it can be destroyed." "We can find that stuff out in the morning. I'm tired." "Same here. 'Night Ryo!"
((Wow! 1:05. I never stayed up this late. Maybe I should do this more often!))

"Yes, perhaps resting our minds would make it best for us to find our answers! G'night guys." Ryo nods as they go to sleep, and he looks for the others, wondering what was going on now.

Bastet rummaged around in her room for the trinket she threw aside earlier. When she found the amulet she went back to the kitchen and threw it on the table. "I do not know if there is anything special about it, but you can look at it if you want."

"She's all cat actually. But thats beside the point. If you think we should leave her to her own devices, you're probably right. I tend to forget that people like her have been handling their own problems for even longer than I've lived. Overprotectiveness has always been a flaw of mine I guess. She can handle herself, about you though, have you come to a decision?"

"A decision? About what exactly?" she asked referring to Saradin's question. Nailah looked up as Bastet came back into the room adn threw the amulet onto the table. Nailah picked it up and held it in her palm. She ran her fingers over the engraved name. Studying it closely she suddenly looked up at Bastet, confusion in her eyes. "Why does Manu have this amulet? It has the sign for one of much higher standing. If Manu was just an apprentice, where would he get such a trinket. Unless he...." A thought suddenly struck her. "You don't think he stole it, do you?" she asked Bastet.

"Wait...." Ryo reverted his attention to the library. "Perhaps I can get some info so we'll be ready by tomorrow...who knows!" Ryo starts to rummage through the library, reading random texts and info about ancient Rome and their gods.

Bastet raised an eyebrow at the conversation. "I can take care of myself, but thanks for the concern." Bastet was a little surprised but thankful that there was concern. "Besides it could be nothing. I would rather go alone and come back with a thrilling story than go out with an army and have nothing happen." She turned to Nailah, "He probably did steal it, the little scoundrel. Yes, are you going to train?"

"I was of course referring to the training I could give you Nailah." Saradin carefully looked over the amulet. "I don't know much about Egypt, I've only visited the area briefly once. So this is lost on me. As for your habits, carelessness and bravado may get you killed. But an army does sound unecassary."

Nailah nodded. Seh was suddenly very hungry. She got up and walked over to the fridge to see if she could find anything to eat. "But if he did steal it, which is probably most likely, who's did he steal? Rashidi? From what I know of teh ancients most resented those who did extremely well, much like Rashidi. I'm sure he wouldn't have let the amulet out of his sight." Seh continued to think while searching for something, anyhting to eat. "I would be most grateful if you would help me train, Saradin. I have been trying to blot out the regular emotions and I have found that if I concentrate extremely hard on one thought or idea, the emotions are dulled to some extent. But it takes a lot of concentration and I can only do it for a very limited amount of time. I would like to banish the dream as well, but I believe I'll have to find a spell for that."

Saradin watched as she scrounged the kitchen for food "I could always make something for you if you like." He joined the hunt, having forgotten completely that he himself was looking for something a few minutes ago. "I can train you anytime you like, it sounds like you are already on the way to real progress. Maybe after some time you'll have it mastered."

"Ah Saradin, I thought you would never ask. My cooking skills are not...shall we say the best. I realize that you are extremely busy in your own right with training and whatnot. Whatever time works best for you." Turning to Bastet she said, "Where can I find some kind of alcohol. I need...some wine or something."

Bastet nodded, "It is something to think about Nailah." She turned to Saradin, "And I do not intend to get myself killed, I will be cautious." She picked up the amulet again and put it in her pocket. "The bar is well stocked, Nailah, Want me to make you a drink?" She pointed to where it was and smiled mischeviously.

"That's quite alright, Bastet. I believe I should make this one. But don't worry, I may be asking for one of yours in the future." Nailah shook her head and laughed. She walked over to the bar and grabbed a bottle of wine. "I guess I can play bartender. Anybody else want anything?"
