I have had Yan-yan, but I was dissapointed, but just because the dip is so good! It almost made me want to hide it from the outside world like some sort of sugary-dip hoarder. I wanted to keep it forever so I could enjoy it forever. By the time I was done thinking about my Yan-yan filled dreams, it had dissapered. I think that's how they getchya!

Yan Yan is fun to eat, because you can dip it =) It's fun to dip!!! But pocky is good too... it's just you don't get to do the dipping part =P Personally, I think Yan Yan is good for little kids to grow up with first before pocky, because they have fun playing with it while eating ^______^

Yan-Yan is not candy, and neither is Pocky.
I don't see how Yan-Yan even tries to be a candy, or Pocky for that matter.

Pocky's standard chocolate is anything but creamy, whereas Yan-Yan has more milky goodness.

Can anybody name one reason why standard Chocolate Pocky is any better than a standard pack of Yan-Yan? (considering taste, rather than "convenience" - such as "Pocky's chocolate is already on the stick" or "Pocky sticks are thinner")

IMO, a standard pack of Chocolate Pocky will never be as good as Yan-Yan or Hello Panda. It is only bought by me due to its cheapness ($1 AUD a box)

I like Yan-Yans, but they're never like Pocky. I never thought of it as Pocky anyways. Yan Yan deserves to be its own treat. Why even compare them? It is a biscuit stick and you dip it in choco or strawberry with a little message on the sides of it, but pocky is more of its own category of treat. It is a biscuit stick already dip in chocolate or all sorts of other flavors in beautifully package wrapper and cute box you just cannot forget.It comes in different sizes too, it is well-loved all over the world and still growing. I like them both, even if I eat more pocky than yan-yan. They're just so good. Now I want pocky ... preferably strawberry T^T
