After hearing his lover tell him where to find the crackers, Noah grabbed a stool just in case. They weren't actually hard to reach. First box to see actually. The shirtless young man grabbed the box and came back out to the living room where Trixie now stood with Jasmine. the mother of many was looking over the horned girl. The little witch must have been pretty persistent to get Jasmine to come considering the woman's power of sight into the future and past. What exactly was going on was beyond Noah as he watched Jasmine touch the horned girl's forehead and snap back to reality "So are you guys still going to need these crackers?" The youth interjected curiously confused. That was when the mother witch announced that the horned girl was something known as a star-creature. Rose then barked another order at her lover to which he replied with a groan of frustration and roll of the eyes before throwing his hands up into the air. He set the box of crackers onto the ground next to the couch and left to go gather all of the younger siblings into bed. Trixie stared in awe at the mention of the horned girl being a star-creature, whatever that was. Her hands clasped to her mouth and blinking eyes opened wide. This girl was from the stars! Did that mean she was angel? The little witch scooted closer to Jasmine to get a closer look at the star-creature. She looked incredibly human for someone like her. From what Trixie and her brother had seen while inside the territory of Janhall, this girl would fit right and no one would be any the wiser as to who or what she was. "Is she going to be a ok?" Asked the little witch to her foster mother.

"The crackers can stay for now." Rose answered as she took a match to the candle in the lantern and lite it. She blew out the match and then proceeded to run out the lights before returning to the star-creature and covering the only light source. Her hands started to glow again as she tried healing in a different way.

"I think this is a rerun." Said Noah as he sat with his arm propped on his knee. The living room TV was blasting Saturday morning cartoon zaniness. Next to him was both Finn and Kamilla with big bowls of sugary fruity cereal. Noah himself was chowing down on an apple. Leaning back, the young man watched as the character's on the screen zipped all around the screen. Even after a year in Janhall, some things were still strange to Noah. Unlike the cartoon Noah had grown up with, supernatural elements were a staple here. Even trio of characters on the TV screen were a gnome, tanuki, and a harpy in some kind of summer camp. The cartoon then cut to a commercial along with the conjoined displeased moans of Finn and Kamilla.

Finn was the first to turn his head to Noah. "Big Bro is big sis and you going to have a baby?" The child asked Noah. "Mommy said that soon big sis was going to have a baby since you sleep with her." Half the things the child said he didn't understand. "If you and sis have a baby then I'll be an uncle right? Mama said only Will and big sis can have babies." The boy commented.

The young man was busy chewing the flesh of the big red apple in his hand when Finn asked a rather personal question. Noah stopped mid chew at the word, baby. Even after all this time, Jasmine was still hounding at the prospect of grandchildren. Noah recalled moments where the two were alone and the mother prodded the young man with questions about how often him and Rose were doing it, if he was having trouble getting it up, whether or not he needed some kind of magical or alchemical edge.
"Well, Finn," Noah began, darting his eyes back and forth around the room. "You're mom is just really excited. But she's also getting a little ahead of herself. I might need to talk to her." The young man promptly got up and left the room to escape and further questions. Finn was just too young and innocent for such a matter. Noah also didn't want the boy to grow up resenting him when he got older.
The young man breathed a sigh and passed by the family dog. In the time Noah and his sister had been living with the Vegas, the dog had grown used to their presence, and sometimes coming to them for the occasional mooch. "Hey there." He said reaching his hand to let the pooch sniff his hand.

Will shuffled out of a near by room with a bagel in his hands, his briefcase and the suit on. He was the tallest and eldest of the siblings and yawned before telling Noah good morning. "Were you asked the baby question again?" The man knew something was off if Noah wasn't with the kids watching Saturday morning cartoons like normal. The only thing that the man could tell drove the ward nuts was the baby question so by deduction that was what it was and lucky it wasn't him. "Mom does that everytime I go on a date with a girl. It's going to be never ending. Even if you provide one child she'll ask when the second is coming right away. She's just baby happy. She loves kids to death if our family isn't proof of that. Dad may be another story though."

"Is it that obvious?" Asked the young man in reply. It didn't take much for even Noah to feel sorry for someone like Will. He had the look off a seasoned veteran when it came to baby nagging. Anyone in the family who was able to make babies almost had a civic duty to do so by order of Jasmine Vega. All Noah wanted to do was just watch the mindless fairy cartoon with Finn and Kamilla like he had been doing for so long now. It was practically a tradition now. He knew that Pony Panic was going to be on soon and it was Kamilla's favorite show. Noah also had a sneaking suspicion that it was a guilty pleasure of Finn's.
"I feel like your mom thinks that anyone with a p***s has to make babies. I feel bad for when Jack and Finn grow up." Noah stood up and let the family dog leave the kitchen. "Why would your dad be another story?" Noah asked, curious about the father of the large family. Pierre had become something of surrogate father for the young man as well as an employer for the brash youth. "Well, if it isn't babies, it's something else. Anyway, I take you're off somewhere?"

"Or lady parts." William added in about his mother's thoughts. The conversation turned to the head of the large family. "If my dad knew you were sleeping with Rose he would make it so you couldn't have children. He still sees Rose as Little Rosie, his sweet innocent daughter." William added with a smile. "I'm going to spend some time at work, but before I go I was planning on eating. Want to sit down and talk." The man responded as he headed to the cabinets to get some food for the morning. "Why are you so reluctant to talk about it anyways?"

A look of fear washed over the ward's face when his foster brother told of what could possibly happen if Pierre ever found out. Noah wasn't exactly being covert with the secret, but he would have figured the father of many would have figured out sooner or later. Maybe there weren't enough context clues for the man. Be how Rose always sat close to Noah at the dinner table in one way or another or when the ward would become bashful when the bombshell was around him in very close proximities. "I don't exactly like the sound of that."
When offered to talk, Noah was hesitant at first, but slowly gave in. "Alright, fine." He agreed, sitting down. "But it'll have to be quick. Finn doesn't like to be alone for the next show." When the two young men sat down, Will spoke first asking about Noah apprehension towards having children. A look of obvious nervousness and drained color taking its place. "I just...you know. I don't have experience with it."

Will chuckled at Noah's comment as he got a muffin and started to pour himself a cup of orange juice. "Says the man who watching Saturday morning cartoons with kids and leaves in a house where more than 50% of the household is made up of children." The man commented as he took a sip of the juice. "You help with the quads and the younger kids all the time. You know how to take care of kids fine." Will pointed out. He guessed Noah just didn't see himself that way.

"Well that's different." Noah retorted, trying find some excuse to protect himself. "I mean..." Will's words did make sense though, but the ward felt he could weasel out of it somehow. "It's like, I'm just babysitting for an extended period time, ya know? Besides, they aren't my kids. I'm like an uncle of sorts." The young man folded his arms and leaned back in his chair. He felt he had successfully evaded the question's point at least until he remembered, "Or a big brother..." As Finn so fondly called him. "Anyway, it's not like it's a big deal. I'm just not ready for kids or anything. I still have a lot of other things I want to do. I have other stuff on my plate." The ward propped himself on one arm thinking of his past. Sebra and her nasty goons were still out there in the world. Could they be around the corner and he just not know? Noah had been under the radar for a long time now, but somewhere in the back of his mind he knew the violence obsessed woman was still hunting him. "I don't suppose you have any advice for me.? Maybe something I should know? Or should I just keep going with the usual flow?"

William chuckled as Noah called it an extended babysitting. It seemed that he was making more excuses then reasons that he didn't want to have kids at this moment. It was then that Noah finally gave a real reason that he shouldn't have kids with Rose at this moment. "Now that's the first real reason you've given me. You can tell my mom that, but you need to sweeten the deal a bit. Do you ever want to have kids with Rose?" William asked the man.

Instead of getting the advice he asked for, Noah received a different kind of advice. It seemed Jasmine was a more immediate "threat" compared to other matters. "What do you mean 'sweeten' the deal? She expects a date or something?" The ward answered slightly annoyed. What did the mother of many want beside grandchildren? Noah wasn't sure what he could do or offer Jasmine. He could try teach the kids martial arts, but that was about it. Anything else was beyond the ward's imagination. When Noah was asked if he did want to have children with Rose, the young man blushed and itched his nose, trying to divert his attention. "Well, maybe?" He answered warily. "I'd have to tie up some loose ends before I do. But I'm also still really young and so is she."

"Tell her the truth then. Tell her than there are loose ends you need to take care of before you can commit to a relationship involving children. It will probably stop for a year or two at least." The oldest Vega child suggested. He then smiled at the younger man and patted his head. "While you may feel young, Rose already has a degree and and a job. She would support your dreams no matter what. Remember that one of her dreams is to be a mother one day as well."

The ward sighed thinking about his foster brother's suggestion. It made sense, but Noah had the feeling it wouldn't be necessary due to certain abilities the matron had. Nevertheless, Noah felt he should tell Jasmine in person anyway...after TV time was over. Noah grimaced with flared teeth when William mention how much more accomplished Rose was in life compared to the ward on top of her other goals in life. What probably wasn't meant to backhanded, came off as such to Noah. "Gee, thanks Will. Do you pour bargain brand salt into the wound or do you go for the expensive stuff?" Noah rose from his chair, feeling the so called peptalk needed to come to a close. The red clad ward returned to the children in the living and sat right back down on the couch as the next program was coming on. Pony Panic, a show that really could use a name change. Noah braced himself for the next half hour. Not because of any contempt he had for the cartoon, but because of what he knew would come after the show. Another talk. Meanwhile in a room somewhere upstairs, Trixie was studying for an upcoming exam two weeks in advance. Ever since entering high school, the little witch had become an overenthusiastic bookworm. So much knowledge at her finger tips. Unlike her brother, who had maybe read ten whole books in his life and skimmed some others, Trixie had gone through that many in a week. In a year, she came close to 350. Her excuse being some books were just too boring. She might have been one of the few people in her school to have read her class textbook front to back. She had gone through so many books and owned so many others, the Vegas presented the little witch with a book case that could hold an infinite number of tomes. Noah had suggested just getting one those digital book readers, but Trixie vehemently denied such rationality, She prefered to hold the stacked pages in her hand and enrapture herself in the smell as she opened and flipped through the pages.
