Lorzerai grinned a face that was all teeth and no joy. "It is not mine to say, but just to do, and to love doing," she said, pseudo-philosophically. "But if I may conjecture (that means guess, for your sake, halfbreed) I would say that it is just like a parent disciplining a child for not doing chores, or some such thing. If a parent killed the child, the parent would have much more grief than if he merely disciplined, and the child would benefit from learning the lesson as well." She drew her finger along the floor, pondering her next question. "What is your base's location, as relative to human markers?"

Azera had finished telling Seifer about what had occured in the retraining area and why they wanted her. She had begun to cry and Seifer gathered her into his arms and held her as she did. After her breathing had calmed she raised her tear stained face up to gaze into his eyes.
"You probably think I'm stupid and weak now, huh?"
"After seeing you fight that human with a power restricting collar on for so long and being put through the pain she could inflict with a simple button I could never think you weak. You only ever showed discomfort once when most would have been on their knees begging for mercy after one day you stayed defiant for two weeks. Stupid, Lydia would skin me alive for even considering such a thing. I'm simply happy that you trust me enough to tell me and allowed me to see you cry. I doubt Lydia has seen that."
Azera smiled and threw her arms around him. He was slightly shocked at the sudden display of affection and hesitated for a moment before he tightened his hold around her. She turned her head slightly and wispered in his ear before quickly teleporting from his arms and running out the door," The answer to your question is yes."
"What? Get back here. Wait, yes. Hey. YES. SHE SAID YES! resounded throughout the place even down to the dungens earning a small smile from Aros and a confused look from Lor.

((its a simple regular wooden chair))
"So you have hurt someone then for your amusment, though not quite to the point of death." He leaned back and closed his eyes, thinking for a moment. His eyes suddenly flashed back open.
"As many as are willing to fight." he said, to answer her question. "We're done for today." He said, getting up from his chair, which seemed to disolve into the dark room, and walked out towards the back shadows. The room seemed to have gotten slightly dimer as he left. and Lorzerai was in the never ending room alone again.

((-rolls eyes- ))

Aros dropped from the ceiling, where he had been waiting to see what the girl would do.
"Sorry, dearie, you don't get to die." he held her wrists firmly, and closed his eyes. he concentrated his power, healing her cuts. The rest of the splinters melted into the illusion from whence they came.

((oh goodie!! i get to use my plot twist now twisted you'll play along, right?))
he blocked it, holding her fist with his hand, an inch away from its target. He Whirled back a few feet, now behind her. the next thing he did was odd. he smiled. And laughed.
"Well then." he said, drawing out his katana. "let's see how you fight." He blades dropped out of the air in front of her, and she deftly caught them.

Azera ran through the base laughing at the sounds of her persuer. If he wants me then he'll just have to catch me. she thought as she ran. The smile that had long been missing had suddenly made a come back. She had a devious twinkle in her eyes that showed the world the little girl she once had been, long before her family was slaughtered in front of her. She was running blindly through the base not caring that he could catch her, in fact she hoped he would. She couldn't make it easy for him though, besides he needed the exercise. She stopped laughing as she entered an empty room that dead ended. Crap. That ended way too soon. she thought as she turned in her corner. She was met with a smirking Seifer.
"Well beautiful, still trying to run from me?"
"Well someone has to help you get your exercise, besides I can't make it too easy for you now can I?"
"Exercise? I'll have you know I'm in excellent shape."
"Prove it."she replied with a smirk on her face and her arms folded over her chest.
"Gladly." Seifer said as he grabbed her arms and pinned her to the wall. He was about to do something he had wanted to do for a long time. He slowly lowered his head and closed his eyes kissing Azera and placing his hands around her waist he picked her up and swung her around his lips smiling against hers at her shock before he released her.
"Wow," was all Azera could whisper after the kiss had ended and she opened her eyes. Seifer suddenly remembered something and reached into his pocket,"This is yours I believe." He had slipped a beautiful diamond ring set in silver on her finger.

Lydia smiled as she heard Seifer yell.
"Right on time." she said softly.

Lorzerai snarled as she spun to face him, and spun again as he moved. She struck at him, one blade slicing down from on high and the other swinging at his middle. She had the momentary thought that she could use the blades to cut herself again, but she was too angry and confused to follow NDS procedure. She was angry at Aros for saving her life, but also confused. The NDS never saved any prisoners who managed to attempt suicide. Why they would bother with a woman that was known to purposely harm rebels?
