Ariadyne | hiraku kioku | hiraku risei | hiraku sekai | ~*~ Yes, in Day of the Dead. That was Day of the Dead, NOT Resident Evil. You can't compare creatures from different movies written and directed by different people. In some vampire movies a cross is all you need to rid yourself of a vampire, and running onto to Holy Ground will keep you safe. In others, a very similiar vampire could wear it's own cross, or simply call it [and anything related to the church] propaganda, and even chase your a** right through several churches. Consistancy does not exist between movies, even if they have elements in common. Actually, in the first movie it was a dress and low heeled hooker boots. In the second it was a strap shirt + mesh shirt, and some jeans. Valentine wore a much harder-to-move-in outfit in the game in comparison, so really if you're talking wardrobe, it was an improvement in the movie.
I don't remember if she didn't get scratched AT ALL. But it's based on a game. It's quite possible to run through many games and not get hit. That's not all a Licker was. It had pieced itself together from parts of many different things. The Umbrella Corperation also had other experiments going on OTHER than the T-virus which IS shown in both movies. Yes. His body started to mutate when it came into contact with the virus, and so does Alice's, which is shown to a greater extent in the second movie.
~*~
| hiraku kioku | hiraku risei | hiraku sekai | True enough that there's little to no consistancy from movie to movie (although zombies are generally more similar than vampires), but there weren't any specific attempts to crack a zombies neck in the game, or an instance during gameplay when you could decap a zombie without destroying the head completely so I went out on a limb and referenced a dead movie. Although even when you blow off a zombies head completely the body moves for a bit afterward while in the movie it stopped the instant she gave it a crack. Well the point I was trying to make is She could not escape harm in THIS outfit. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/d/d4/Aliceresidentevil.jpg/200px-Aliceresidentevil.jpg (There's a skirt in there too so ha razz ) Jill was a trained proffesional, who actually HAD experience (dealing with such creatures) from RE1 too. Also trained proffesional is only the tip of the iceberg. Wesker hand picked extraordinary individuals to be in STARS alpha team. Jill was one in a million at least, with skills far surpasing some random umbrella employee with amnesia. She can't really be compared to Jill. And besides, the point remains that at no point did Jill ever try hand to hand combat with those creatures. She used guns to keep her distance... And She actually DID get infected by Nemesis in RE3 and was given a cure, unlike Alice with her magical never get hit by a BOW powers... Oh yeah, and a Licker's toungue is supposed to be like a knife that can impale a human, yet it tried to wrap it's toungue around Alices boot... wtf? No Alice was never scratched. They established in the first film that just a bite or a scratch will infect you, so it's sort of a given that she wasn't. And characters in the game do get hit, not only if you ******** up, but in certain cutscenes. I don't think her not geting hit is in any way related to the games, but rather building an un-earned sense of invincibility from the main character to make her seem more appealing. If a licker in the movie was a combination of many things, why didn't it look it? Shouldn't there be a certain lack of symetry, like one arm being longer or a different color than the other? I don't recall Umbrella dealing with much else besides the T-virus in the first movie. When did they mention that? Right and that made no sense. Why did he begin to mutate, and nobody else? (Alice was tampered with in a lab as oppose to simply scratched by a licker, so she's a completely different case) And why so fast? Before that, the virus took quite a while to show any big effects. Koemiko Is it her weight and build you're upset about, or the fact she killed them by breaking their necks? The 2 together. Someone so skinny and weak could never manage to pull that off. Hell I don't think anyone could pull it off without getting bitten. It adds to the annoyance factor that she is so typically action movie-skinny.

Lair Argyra That script is not the official one. Paul Anderson will no longer take part of the production of the Castlevania movie. News: Warren Ellis has signed as the film's screenwriter. So far, Igarashi has approved everything he has come up with. It will be an animated trilogy that will come directly to DVD. Story will be set in Wallachia in the year 1476. According to the screenwriter's blog, he won't include Grant DaNasty in the story. Production Blog: http://castlevaniadraculascurse.com/ No dude, didn't you read? As it turns out that whole Paul Anderson not having a part in the production was just an assumption based on him working on the film death race. He'll still be working on the CV movie unfortuneatly. I hate transmetropolitan, but I will take Igarashi's word that it's turning out pretty bitchin. Although I'll rent not buy, so I'm not too worried either way.

That makes me wonder. Would this mean that there are 2 separate Castlevania films in production?

Only thing I'm aware of is the animated one you posted stuff about and the live action Paul Anderson one. I think they would only be working on one live action though considering you need the liscense. Only time will tell the truth.

I'm wondering, if Grant isn't gonna be in the plot, then the scene on the ship from the game is most likely not to make it on film. Right? And what about the clock tower scene? I bet they probably will omit that one since Grant was the boss there. I wonder which path Trevor is going to take from the game. There may not have been many paths but there sure were a few choices.

You know...I think I'm in the minority of people who liked the first Resident Evil movie and hated the second, instead of the other way around.
I could see this being either good or bad, it really depends. One of the reasons I've considered getting into film direction is to make truly faithful game-to-movie adaptations. rolleyes

I've never met anyone who hated the first movie and somehow magically liked the second. The second RE movie to my knowledge is pretty universally hated except by people with no taste in movies. You know, the people that went to see Triple X and liked it? Or saw the movie Undead and didn't fall asleep or leave before it ended.
No offense to any Triple X fans... Total offense to Undead fans. That's like the worst zombie movie ever made. Even Shaun of the Dead was brilliant compared to Undead...

Well... Apparently, the animated version will be a trilogy. As for people who love sequels more than the first movie, you got Terminator 2: Judgement Day, and Aliens. It all depends on the director, among other things.

Still - I never got pass Jill being a "bad-a**", nor Nemesis having any compassion whatsoever. confused Quote: Even Shaun of the Dead was brilliant compared to Undead... Shaun of the Dead was brilliant REGARDLESS. Simply put...parody at it's finest. ^_^
