Her eyes gleamed dangerously and an undercurrent of red burned behind the blue.
"They won't touch you."
She growled out those words.

"You have no idea how badly I can mess this up"  Colours let out a little laugh, and shook his hand side to side at Evangeline.
"Relax, relax. I should probably tell you the whole story."
He took a deep breath and shook his head.
"I used to be sick. I used to be really really sick. I had a terminal illness, and the doctor said I only had a few months to live. So, I asked a god of death if he could make my illness go away, because I didn't want to die. That's how I became a demon summoner. However, the god of death asked me to complete a mission for him in return for healing me. I refused, and ran away. So, he sent a demon summoner after me, by the name of Shigeru Yukashima. And yeah..."

She sat back and calmed, listening carefully to each sentence.
"Oh."
She took a breath and retreated into her mind, looking over vague events that happened in the past. She focused back and took another breath.
"I suppose it's my turn, huh? It is only fair to tell you my lifestory."
She went over details in her head, wondering if she should leave out alot of it. She waited for his permission. Maybe he didn't want to hear.

"yeah, actually. I'd love to hear about your story, I mean, if you're alright with telling me"

"Well it is only fair if I tell you."
She adjusted herself in the seat, vying to get more comfortable.
"Okay. Well. When I was young, I knew not of my heritage. I was adopted by a miserable family who loved to insult and abuse me. One day I ran away. A kindly woman took me in, but she turned out to be a hunter for an organization. I trusted her...so I followed her to a facility. That's when I learned all that she told me was a lie. Many...unpleasant things happened to me there, and eventually I escaped. Thats where my first..bondmate came in..."
She took another deep breath, swallowing.
"I...well...you could say I fell in love with him. For a few months I stuck by his side. He became the second person I had ever trusted. Foolish of me, I guess. Turned out he was...a hunter as well. He returned me to the facility...and I escaped again...so I wandered and found this place, where I found you..and our other friends."
She let out a shuddering breath. Then waited once more for what he would say.

"You have no idea how badly I can mess this up" Colours was speechless. He knew that everyone in the school was from different origins, but, he could have never guessed hers. At first, he looked away for a second, feeling a little saddened by her story. However, he glanced at the green wristband that wrapped around his right wrist, and looked back up at Evangeline, giving her the most comfortable smile he could possibly muster up.
"Well then. I promise, right here and now..."
Colours straight into Evangeline's eyes, letting his smile fade away a little.
"I promise I'll do whatever it takes to make you happy. Even if that means coming here and buy you ice cream everyday. I'll do whatever it takes."

Evangeline felt her breathing stop when he looked away, but he looked back almost straight away. Her breathing returned. She almost felt the need to turn away, but was struck by his next words. her breathing seized up again.
"You....what?"
She rocked back, before an amazed smile formed slowly on her lips.
"Oh..Colours...Eve...Thank you..."

"You have no idea how badly I can mess this up" Colours whipped out his cell phone to check on the time, to his surprise, they had been there for much longer than they expected. He gave her a smile, before returning back to a frown.
"Evangeline, you see the wristband I have?"
He rolled up his sleeve a little to show her.
"If you see anyone that has a green wristband like this, or one that's blue or red...You need to find me immediately. Demon summoners wear wristbands like this to distinguish how powerful they are, and the use the bands to summon and capture demons."

"Alright."
She studied the wristband, learning its shape and size, so she wouldn't mistake it for anything else.
"Should we head back to the dorm? Or maybe go exploring.."
She had a flash in her mind and concentrated on it, visibly looking distant as she grasped a thread of the recent past.

He smiled at her, and stuck out his hand towards her.
"Is there anywhere that you'd like to go?"

Evangeline came back to the present, confused by the flashes of what she had seen. A sword, and another green wristband.
"Hmmmm..."
She took his hand, standing up.
"Not particularily, although I find I would quite enjoy a peaceful walk."

"Well, we can always go back to the school campus and take a walk through the garden if you want. Not a lot of people go there, so, it's pretty quiet."
Colours stuck both his hands in his pockets and blinked a few times.
"Unless you'd rather go somewhere else?"

"You have no idea how badly I can mess this up" Seemingly overjoyed, Colours took Evangeline's hand and headed for the exit. He gave a little laugh, along with the light blush that overtake his face. Overall, he seemed a little happier. He whispered to himself as they exited the ice cream parlor.
"Eve and Evangeline...That sounds kind of nice"
