~ Shui - The Beast ~ Shui's thoughts were interrupted by a new arrival to the library, sometimes he cursed his improved hearing for being able to pick up such distractions. Looking up he noticed a familiar figure, the girl from the schoolyard. 'So it was you who caused the blackout.' He thought, remembering the vibrant display she had performed earlyer. As Shui watched his interest in the girl grew, even more so when he watched the computer rooms light up once more not moments after the girl had entered. He felt slightly uncomfortable, a feeling of unease rose in his gut, why was he so intrigued with this one student?
Feeding his curiosity further, Shui stood up and gently stepped over to the bookshelf next to the table where the girl was sat. Looking up at the vast array of books, Shui gently tapped on the spine of each one until finding one that may be a good read. Pausing for a moment he glanced over his shoulder for a moment back at the girl.
"You play very well." He said gently, his voice slightly rough due to it's lack of use.

She looked up at the one who addressed her. It was that interesting looking guy she had spied earlier. "Thanks very much," she replied with a smile. "If you wanna hear more, I usually hang around that spot. Though I'm starting to consider a different place, heh... Well, these walls must be pretty sound-proofed if the librarian didn't complain about me before." She pushed back her chair and went to join him. Mavi scanned the books, trying to find something useful. "Books aren't really my thing but... I think this time around I ought to see if I can study, before I do any more damage," she said with a nervous chuckle.

~ Shui - The Beast ~ Shui edged away from the girl slightly, but smiled as he looked at her in the corner of his vision before continuing to look through the books.
"I know the feeling." He said quietly, almost as soft as a whisper. He paused, feeling like he may have said too much.
"S-So, what classes are you planning to study?" He asked, remembering that he himself hadn't even thought of studying even with all the books he had plowed through.

"Well, I stopped by the elemental magics class for a while. There was a lot of downtime there- too much for me. So I've decided I better take matters into my own hands. But I ought to find someone who can tutor me too, though I don't know if there are a lot of people around here that can do what I can." She frowned a bit, but kept skimming over the books. There didn't seem to be anything that suited her needs on these book shelves, so she began her search on the shelves behind them. "I'm thinking I gotta stop by the music class sometime though," she said, chuckling. "How about yourself? What are you interested in studying?"

~ Shui - The Beast ~ Shui's smile didn't fade as he continued to flick through the books until his eyes set upon a dark muddy brown spine labled 'The Works of the Mind'. Gently pulling it out of the shelf and sat back down at the table.
" Me? Im not really sure what classes to take, I came here for.... Different reasons." His hand tensed slightly before gently setting down on the book he had chosen.
"I doubt you'll need lessons in terms of music, unless of course you just want to go to the class to show off." A small chuckle slipped from his lip before he silenced himself.

Turning away from the book shelves, she chuckled and grinned at him. She took the chair in front of him, and said, "Ah ha ha, you caught me. You never know when you might learn something new though. But I'm thinking about returning to elemental magics class, since that's what I really need. I just hope if I do go back, there isn't so much downtime. Of course, I could always find a tutor for what I need, I think." She hadn't seen anyone else yet who displayed her abilities. She observed him for a while before moving her gaze to the book he had, and wondered to herself what he meant by "different reasons". "So I think I'm gonna go practice my abilities later. Maybe I can learn to stop making blackouts happen, haha! You can come with if you want, but just keep your distance- not to scare you or anything, I'm sure it'd be safe for you to watch at a distance." She smiled reassuringly.

Shui continued to smile as his fingers tapped up the leather cover of the book infront of him, his head tilted down slightly out of shyness to the girl infront of him.
"Sadly I do not know of any tutors with an ability similar to yours." He said, remembering the many faces that walk by his dorm every day and thinking how he didn't know any of them, it was for the best. Looking up at the girl, Shui's smile grew slightly. "I-I'm sure you have enough control over your abilities to not worry about how close I am. N-Not saying that I would be sitting right next to you or anything like that of course." Shui chuckled quietly with embarrasement as he scratched the back of his head wondering why on earth did he say that last bit.

"It's all good, I'll figure something out," Mavi said with a smile. "Thanks for the confidence. I promise I'll be careful." She grinned, and chuckled a bit. It was cute how shy he was. She held out her hand. "I'm Mavi Selvari, by the way."

Shui looking at Mavis hand for a moment before reaching out and shaking it gently. "Shui, nice to meet you." He said before quickly withdrawing his hand.
"So, M-Mavi. If it's not to personal a question, I was wondering, when did you realise that you were... Different." He asked, shuddering slightly as he thought of all the humans down below.

"Well..." She thought for a moment. "It started happening about... 4 years ago, though I only really started taking notice 3 years ago. I used to just brush off the random blackouts. I mean, come on, how I could I cause them? But when I started paying more attention... I realized it couldn't just be a coincidence that the power just happened to go out when I leaned against a wall, or when I got really into the music. And I'm pretty sure a couple of times I managed to coax some electricity out of an outlet on accident. I was just near it and it decided to send a few sparks at me," she chuckled. "Electricity isn't the only thing I can control. I can also control sound waves. I could pump up my music really loud if I want to, or eavesdrop... not that I've used it for that or anything." She grinned. "So... how about you? Are you 'different' in some way? Well, I mean, you don't have to answer that if you don't want to." She blushed a little.

"I guess you could say I am, different. Though nothing as interesting as your abilities..." Shui whispered, his arm tensing once more as he held up the book infront of him. "I'm pretty dull really, all I ever really do is read, guess you could call me a bookworm." He managed to force out a chuckle as he looked back across the table to Mavi.
"It's funny, I have never read this one but I always take it out of the shelf, just to look at the cover. Pretty silly eh?" Shui stood up and slipped the book back into it's rightful place upon the shelf. "I could never be as creative as you. I can't even play a single instrument."

"Aw, don't be so hard on yourself. I'm sure you're more amazing than you realize." She smiled then glanced at the book before he put it away. "Y'know, maybe you should read that book sometime, since it keeps calling you back." Her gaze then shifted to her guitar then back to Shui. "I could teach you how to play guitar if you want. I even know a little piano, if that would tickle your fancy better," she said with a smile.

Shui was suprised to find that he was smiling again. " I wouldn't be too sure about what I can do. I'd say the best thing about me is my hearing, though it can be quite a pain." He sat back down, this time keeping his focus on Mavi. " I just feel like it would be best unread, keeps a slight mystery about it that way." The boy leaned back on his chair slightly, letting his dark hair cover his eyes.
"I highly doubt I'll be able to catch on very well when it comes to any instrument. I've basicaly got two left hands-" Shui was interrupted by a sudden groan from his stomach, he leaned over and clenched his chest before looking back up at Mavi.
"S-Sorry about that." A slight blush of embarrasment shot up on his face as his stomach growled once more.

Mavi chuckled and said, "How about trying it at least? Come on, we can go to my dorm," she stood up, "and I can make us something to eat before we start practicing." He's so cute. She found herself blushing slightly at the thought and took a deep breath to regain composure.

~ Shui - The Beast ~ Shui's face was almost completly red as he thought about going with Mavi to her dorm. This was a first for him due to his usual isolation from anyone he saw. His stomach growled again which caused him to let out a faint groan himself as he tensed up once again. "I-I'm not sure that's a good idea. I have one hell of an appetite...." He chuckled before slumping over again to focus on calming himself down. After a few more seconds Shui sat up straight to look at Mavi. "Then again... I guess it could be fun." He smiled softly, a flicker of a blush still visable on his cheeks.
