 As the teacher walked in to begin class, Akira's ears perked up on her head and she listened intently. The teacher glanced over at Saiga who was currently sitting on the desk, but too their relief said nothing and continued on with class.

 Saiga listened to what the teacher said, even though he wasn't in this class as far as he knew. He looked at Akira every now and then, but said nothing, not wanting to distract her. He ignored the stares of other students, casting a cold glare at any who spoke of him or Akira.

Akira ignored the students whispers and glances, she was used to it by now. She was used to them talking about how she was the "mean and stuck up kitsune girl" due to the fact that she was unfriendly and refused to join in any of their conversations. Akira didn't care. They didn't know her, or her story. She didn't owe them anything and had no reason to trust them, so it didn't bother her. She stared straight at the front of the class with cold, emotionless eyes. Doing her work properly and only worrying about Saiga. She noticed him casting glares at the other students. "Don't let them get to you. Their opinions are irrelevant and don't matter at all." she said to him.

Saiga sighed and looked at Akira. "they shouldn't be saying those things...they don't know you, so they shouldn't judge you..."he said before laying down. "...but if you say so...i'll try to ignore them"

"Please do try to ignore them, Saiga. she said calmly. "They are beneath us. Remember, we are not the ones who ruined their lives. Destroyed their homes. Killed their families." Akira said. Her voice stayed cool and calm but it was obvious that her anger was rising from just thinking about it. Any time she thought about the humans, she thought about her father's tragic death. "I don't care for them or anything they have to say, so let them speak. It won't effect me." she said, gently petting his head to assure him.

Saiga purred softly as she pet his head. "alright...but if anyone approaches...I will bite them..."he said as his ears twitched.

Akira laughed lightly. Due to his usual kind and passive demeanor she sometimes forgot that Saiga could be intimidating and aggressive as well. "Well..I won't stop you." she said, images of Saiga attacking her classmates filled her with amusement. Nope, she wouldn't mind it one bit if he attacked a human.

Saiga smiled and relaxed as he waited for the class to end. He was glad Akira had allowed him to join her. He loved Akira and wanted to be with her to protect her. He would glance at Akira and smile happily, the other students leaving them alone after he bit the hand of a human the had attempted to pet him.

The teacher dismissed the class, once hearing the loud bell ring. Akira's ears hurt from the irritating high-pitched noise, but she didn't mind it so much because it meant class was over. "I'm surprised the Sensei didn't say anything." Akira said after seeing Saiga bite the hand of a student. She picked up her satchel and stood up from her seat. "Straight to the forest? Or shall we go somewhere to eat first?" she asked Saiga.

Saiga chuckled and looked at Akira. "the student should have known better"he said playfully. When asked where to go, he tilted his head. "are you hungry?"he asked, not wanting her to go on a walk on an empty stomach.

Akira blushed sheepishly. "It's embarrassing, but yea I am a little hungry." she admitted. "What about you? If you don't want to we could go straight to the forest and eat later."

Saiga smiled as he saw her blush. "im a little hungry...if you want, we can stop at the café and get something to eat?"he offered, tilting his head.

"Yea, we can definitely do that." Akira said, giving him a small smile back. She walked towards the door before stopping to look back at Saiga. Saiga nodded and followed Akira out the door, his ears twitching happily. Once they were out of the school would Saiga change back to his human form.
