Standing at her workbench, Kira stares blankly at the worn wooden surface. Now alone in her shop, she can finally vent. Picking up a heavy stone bowl, she roars and hurls it against the wall. A chip of stone breaks off and flies across the room at her, slicing a gouge into her cheek. Red blood stained white fur as she turns back to her table. much calmer now, but still lacking her usual fire, Kira begins to work on a cure for the poison running through Aden's system.
"Dammit mom, Now i know why you never fell truly in love... I need your help, now more than ever. I know i've asked for a lot of help lateley, but now i need you more than ever. I am nowhere near as good at this as you, and goddess mom, I'm afraid of killing him if i go wrong. Please, mom, Guide my hand, and help me bring Aden back. I can't live without him"
A breeze bursts through the door of the shop, and ruffling the pages of her mom's old recipie book, a note falls to the floor. Kira looks at the note and the book, now open to a recipie that she wouldn't have considered, and kira, for the first time since aden passed out, smiled in knowledge.
"Still looking out for me mom? Thanks."
Picking up the note, Kira unfolds it and reads it quickly
"Well I'll be dammed"
Kira begins to bustle around the shop, gathering ingredients quickly and efficiently. dumping bottles, herbs, and berries on the table, she grabs her newly chipped bowl and places it on the table. Grabbing handfuls of berries and flowers, she dumps them into the bowl. Mixing them and then crushing them together, she drains the juice out of the bowl into a bottle. washing the bowl out, she then dumps differently colored liquids together, adding the berry flower mix, she lights the burner from her alchemy set and places the bottle of fluid over it.
"I can't believe it was this simple, and where is Flec with that poison?!"

Flec appeared uncanilly seconds after she had spoken, a vail of poison in his hand. "sorry it took so long, i had to distill it directly from the fang." He hands her the vail of crimson liquid.

Without turning her eyes from the potion that had begun to bubble, she spoke
"Thank you Flec. You are a credit to your kind."
Extending a paw, she grabs the vial and sets it down. deftly removing the flask from the burner, she dumps a little of the venom into a bowl and then droppers in a bit of the potion. the venom hisses and sizzles and then turns a murky grey and solidifies.
"DAMMIT!"
Picking up the bowl she hurls it at the wall, shattering the glass of the bowl and splattering the grey goop against the stonework
"Why... why did it not work!"
Tears pour from her eyes, splattering against the wood of her desk
"I won't be able to save him at this rate."
Kira scrubs her paws against her eyes, and dumps another reagent into the bottle with potion in it, and the fluid turns an ugly shade of green. Placing it back on the burner, she boils the potion further.

Pouring more venom into another saucer, she adds more of the potion. The venom sizzles and pops and turns into a hard black lump.
"DAMMIT! Still not enough. what am I missing from the formula. I've done everything in the recipe! What am i doing wrong!"
Tears pour from her eyes yet again, splattering the desk, and hitting the black lump of solid venom. The venom chunk starts to sizzle and then begins to dissolve.
"What the hell?"
Kira watches in awe as the venom dissolves into a harmless bit of powder. Taking the vial of potion, she begins to cry in relief. droplets of purest love and emotion pour down her cheeks and splash into the bottle. the potion turns a crystalline blue, and she takes a dropper and extracts a bit. Pouring the last of the venom into a bowl, she drops the new potion over it. the venom in the bowl sizzles, fizzes, and then turns clear. Taking her life in her own paws, Kira raises the saucer of clear liquid to her lips and takes a sip. Her eyes widen and she coughs and splutters. dropping the saucer, she continues to cough.

"water... It's water! I found the cure!
I FOUND THE CURE!"
Kira leaps up and grabs a large syringe. Extracting a large amount of the antidote, she removes the air and walks to the back of the shop. Approaching Aden's prone body, she jabs the needle into his heart and injects the serum.
"Aden, Please come back to me, You promised you wouldn't leave me!"
Holding the now empty syringe in her hand, Kira watches carefully for any change in Aden's condition

Aden shuddered as the needle pierced his rib cage and delivered the serum to his heart. The antidote coursed quickly through his body eliminating all traces of the poison from his body. Opening his eyes Aden looked around and took in the small room he was laying in, and the tear laden amethyst eyes of Kira. Attempting to move, Adenar felt that his limbs were lacking the energy to move. Forcing himself strongly with his mind he empowered his legs to slide off the bed. His feet touched the ground, and he noticed they felt numb. Trying to stand Aden pushed with his mind until he had reached an awkward standing position. Aden tried to step toward Kira, but swayed wildly and began to fall.

Kira raced to his side, holding him up.
"Aden, You're gonna be a little weak. You were out for a while. That was a nasty poison."
But I'm glad you're alive
Holding herself sturdy, Kira begins the walk to a chair.
"you're gonna need a little boost. Sit, I'll make you something to drink."

Aden felt her support and looked at her. He coughed and smiled quietly saying, "That sounds great... though the bed sounds more comfortable.
Aden gave her a weak thumbs up, barely able to wink.
"Thanks... you're an angel."

"No lying down. You need to get your blood flowing at normal pace again. And I'm not an angel. I'm just devoted."
Turning to face you, Kira plants a sweet kiss on your lips
"And I'm in love, so that helps too."
Settling you in a plush armchair by the fire, kira grabs her juice bowl and her juicing gloves. pulling out various citrus fruits and herbs, she slices and adds to the bowl. Mixing and mashing the fruits and herbs, life and hope begin to fill her eyes, and the cold hardness that had taken over dissipated. Straining the mixture through a cloth into a large jar, she brings it over.
"Drink that. It'll energize you and help replenish your blood supply. it became rather depleted. the poison did a number to your system. it was all i could do to save you."
Kira places her head in Aden's lap, and sighs happily

Aden smiled even more, "I am glad that you've admitted it... I'm in love with you just as much." Aden took the bowl and sipped from it grimacing. Feeling the energy burst to follow, Aden more willingly drank from the bowl, heedless of the fruity yet bitter taste. Aden put the bowl on a table next to the chair and stroked Kira's hair. With his free hand Aden feels the slanting scar over his left eye. He could see fine, but the eyelid was gouged enough to leave a nasty scar. He was lucky to have his vision. He looked down at Kira sadly.
"There's no hope of healing these wounds properly is there...?"

"I can heal them. they will have no traces left, should you request it. But i think a small scar over your eye would be quite attractive."

Aden grinned, "Well then, a small scar it is..."
Aden, still feeling weak but now able to move, got up. He stumbled over to the bed, a bit unbalanced, but still upright. He flopped onto the bed and rested his head on an extremely soft pillow.
"The guards quarters are nowhere near this comfortable... the last time I slept in a bed this cozy was..."

A very long time ago. You are free to sleep here, any time you need to.
"That bed was my saving grace when i first got here, before i planted my glade. It is stuffed with down and the cottony fibers of the flowers planted in my glade."

The bed was very comfortable, and Aden was drifting off to sleep slowly... Lifting his arm Aden beckoned to Kira. It would be so much more comfortable if you were here to keep me warm.

Kira nodded and slipped out of her dress. sliding into the bed next to Aden, She placed her head on his chest and then purred them both to sleep.
Rest, beloved. Tomorrow we shall discuss the future.
And with that, Kira drifted away to dream land.
