"What?" Manta asked blankly. "Wha... Faust! Break ends in a week! I'll need to be back at school! Besides, I really don't want to fight," he added in a low voice.
"You're brave, Manta!" Faust assured him. "And I won't let anything happen to you. But you want to help Yoh, right?"
"Well, yeah..."

Faust ignored the obvious rift in the time-space continuum that had apparantly caused a moment to repeat itself. "I don't want to be strong..." Manta mumbled. "I just want to finish up medical school."
"You have to be strong," Faust ordered. "If you aren't, as my shaman, how can I be strong?"

"You are strong. Maybe you are brand new to all of this, but you're strong in a different way. We're just asking you to use those strengths to help us if the worst is to fall upon us."

"You do know that I'm right here, right?" Jin stood behind his sister, his face bright red. After all, Kyoko had made him look bad in front of Xing.
"Oh, you are? Wel, now you know what you need to improve on." Kyoko innocently smiled and skipped towards the shrine.
"My sister has no conscience whatsoever..." Jin sighed.
