Neo Princess Emeraude Silvander: Yeah, me too. I don't get why some people live in places that are called 'tornado alley' and keep building and building after each tornado. stressed Tornados scare me.. eek I am fortunate that I don't live where there are natural disasters to deal with...unless you count earthquakes which happen rarely Thank Goddess and God. Its a good thing you don't live in Alaska, then. o.o We have earthquakes almost every day, but thankfully Alaska is so big and our cities so spread out, people don't get injured too often. sweatdrop Also. I have come to a conclusion. We have a new rule, though I won't add it to the primary rules list. It is called patience.

On a side note: If you see topics disappear in the next day or two that have their last post in 2006 (aside from a very sparse few) don't be alarmed. I'm doing spring cleaning, is all. They're all being locked and moved to the Recycle Bin.
Hopefully after the cleaning, I'll have up a spring guild layout.
Also...the guild anniversary is April 27th. Anyone want to do anything for it?
The thread for Tools has been transferred to the Learning Center. Healing Craft is also being moved, I'll leave the BoS where it sits for now.
Edit: All done with the thread spring cleaning, I think. I'll go through the Help subforum tomorrow.

Is the Learning center for all of the members of the guild or just the mods of the guild (sorry if thats a "noobish" question) I just noticed that it says crew next to it so I wondered.

I've got a bunch of pictures from my trip to Anchorage if you'd like to see them? (Also took pictures of a glacier, Mt. McKinley, and some random flats.)

That would be odd, going home after a long days work and turning on the tv to be told that you survived yet another earthquake and didn't even know. I live in Oregon, not only that, but I live in the calmest part of Oregon, we rarely eve get snow or ice. Just rain and sun. Once a year there is a maybe minute and a half hail storm, but thats about it.

O_o that must be kind of boring. I'm not much of a fan of snow, but it is nice to get a little bit, especially around christmas.
I live in Alberta, Canada. We don't get earthquakes or anything (though sometimes if they're big enough over in BC we'll feel some tremors, it's rare though). We do get some tornadoes and some killer thunder storms now and then, fairly cold winters and hot summers too. A little bit of (almost) everything.

Where I live, you don't really need exciting weather, its entertaining enough just watching the people here. Hippies, etc.

Once a year there is a maybe minute and a half hail storm, but thats about it.
They don't really report it unless its "a big one". Normally they stop at about 4.6 and usually not around a population, so the only way to know is if you feel it and ask around, or check the earthquake website that posts all the earthquakes all around the world.
It was pretty amusing one day, our apartment shook to the point there was damage, so I went to check out how big it was online. It was .6 miles below the earth's surface, about 40 miles away and only a 4.7. But then I saw how long the list was, so I counted an in about a 24 hour period, Alaska had had almost double the earthquakes the entire world had had.
The big worry here, is during the summer for the fire season. We'll have hundreds of thousands of acres burning at the same time, not have quite enough people for containment, and still have to send people down to the Lower 48 to help them with their forest fires. With the smoke from all the fires sitting happily in our towns to the point they start giving out free masks for people to breathe a little better. sweatdrop
