Selling a guild gets you less money than it actually costs though since anyone buying would just spend as much money making a new one. So basically you only see people sell a guild when the previous leader gives up on it, because they think that much gold is a lot.

or more specifically it's more gold than they have, and perspective buyer has less gold than the system requires.
everyone gets what they want.

I think the time it takes to haggle the price with one or two guildmasters would probably net someone enough gold to make up what they'd have saved.
But maybe.

I got a position when that last monster guild attacked us and I let them know they had already surrendered. Now that Astrawsam isn't around I guess you could revoke it but it's not like I was ever assigned office space anyway so you know~
