Neo Princess Emeraude Its a two way street, the newbies have to post and ASK stuff which helps get the conversations flowing. 3nodding My poor grandma has a terrible UTI. We went to the doctors yesterday and they gave her medicenes to take and she is doing a bit better. I guess the only thing to do is to drink lots of water, cranberry juice and take the antibiotics. Wish there was something else to do about it. crying 3nodding I've said that one before, but its always hard for people to believe. I've actually had someone PM me to lecture me about how there are NEVER any topics this person enjoyed discussing. And so she wanted to leave the guild and planned to never return, because she never had a topic to discuss in or anywhere she could go to discuss and share. I responded by telling her that if we lacked a topic, she could make one. If she wanted to share, and we had nowhere for it currently, she could make the topic. If she wanted discussion, she could start one. Never heard back from her. sweatdrop

Chels: I guess it is easier for some people to complain, or some of them just like to complain. sweatdrop Being in a guild is not a passive thing. I have learned that you have to give a little bit and then you keep on and you eventually get some back. Um...not sure if that is clear, it is meant as a good thing. redface
There are fires here and so much ash in the air it gave me a migraine. stressed Over at my mom's the ash was falling in big chunks, blown over by the wind. eek The fires are far away from us but still smells smoky outside the house. sweatdrop
SIN: That was very poetic. You ever read Emily Dickenson? I just got a HUGE book of her entire poems she wrote in her life and am enjoying some every day. I think this book will last me for months and months. heart whee *huggles book*

Wow, that sounds like Alaska's fire season. o.o I hope they get taken care of soon...

Chels and Seldaara: The fires are almost contained now. It was started by some nimrod who wanted to burn a car he stole, up on the 'fire plateau'. I hope they catch the b*****d. scream Several people have lost their homes. We don't live in that area, we just get the smoke and ashes.
My Grandma: Is doing somewhat better. Her pain level is down a bit.
SIN: A poetic mind is a sign of intelligence. 3nodding You should write your poetry down someplace so your creative energies have a place to go. biggrin Emily Dickenson was the same way. 3nodding I wish I had the focus to write poetry... crying You are very lucky. smile

It was certainly stupid to set a fire in a fire plateau.
UTIs= teh suck. I hope she feels better soon, it's not a fun thing to go through.

Seldaara: I sometimes wonder about people too..but if I do it too long I don't sleep. blaugh Seriously, some people are just dumb. stressed
Silvander: There is another fire that was started, hopefully this one will be out soon. stressed My grandma is almost free of pain, but the antibiotic medicine she is taking is making her feel so dizzy. xp Sometimes the medicine is worse than the illness...at least she only has a couple more days to take it. stressed

Being afraid of any and all natural disasters as I am, I could not live where I was constantly afraid of my house getting destroyed. That's crazy, lol. I would be dousing my house in anti-fire foam every week. And growing a LOT of marajuana in my yard. Not to be a druggie or anything, but if my house burned down, I would need the stress relief...and the fire team could probably relax too.... and my closest neighbors for about five miles..... LMAO

I've always been a forum, chat room killer, and all I have to do is say hi =( Sorry ahead of time of this thread dies too =P

I've always been a forum, chat room killer, and all I have to do is say hi =( Sorry ahead of time of this thread dies too =P Its not that the topic dies. Sometimes we just don't have anything to say in response, or are too busy to respond for a while. This IS a slow guild during the school year, and it can takes days, weeks, or months before some of the more opinionated members make a return to respond. Or that members just don't want to post because they feel the guild is too slow. I've got that one a lot, too. The guild is too "inactive" in their view, so they just don't post until its active enough for them. Or that the newer members are too nervous to post. Its not like we bite you if you misbehave here. We have rules, yes, but they're to help keep order in what was once a massive and active guild where rules were necessary to keep things on track. But some people seem to think we will bite for a misstep, and so don't post. sweatdrop

Fieryhexe: Hiya. biggrin *huggles* You siggy is too cute! Is she a drowish fairy? Very pretty. biggrin heart heart
Silvander: Yeah, me too. I don't get why some people live in places that are called 'tornado alley' and keep building and building after each tornado. stressed Tornados scare me.. eek I am fortunate that I don't live where there are natural disasters to deal with...unless you count earthquakes which happen rarely Thank Goddess and God.
