Every Rose Has Its Thorn...Poison
We both lie silently still in the dead of the night Although we both lie close together We feel miles apart inside
Was it something I said or something I did Did the words not come out right Though I tried not to hurt you Though I tried But I guess that's why they say
Every rose has its thorn Just like every night has its dawn Just like every cowboy sings his sad, sad song Every rose has its thorn
Yeah it does
I listen to our favorite song playing on the radio Hear the DJ say loves a game of easy come and easy go But I wonder does he know Has he ever felt like this And I know that you'd be here somehow If I could have let you know somehow I guess
Every rose has its thorn Just like every night has its dawn Just like every cowboy sings his sad, sad song Every rose has its thorn
Yeah it does
Though it's been a while now I can still feel so much pain Like a knife that cuts you the wound heals but the scar, that scar remains
Solo
I know I could have saved a love that night If I'd known what to say Instead of makin' love We both made our separate ways
But now I hear you found somebody new and that I never meant that much to you To hear that tears me up inside And to see you cuts me like a knife I guess
Every rose has its thorn Just like every night has its dawn Just like every cowboy sings his sad, sad song Every rose has its thorn
Yeah it does

Hakuna Matata...Music by Elton John, lyrics by Tim Rice
Timon: Hakuna Matata! What a wonderful phrase
Pumbaa: Hakuna Matata! Ain't no passing craze
Timon: It means no worries for the rest of your days It's our problem-free philosophy Hakuna Matata!
Simba: Hakuna Matata?
Pumbaa: Yeah. It's our motto!
Simba: What's a motto?
Timon: Nothing. What's a-motto with you?
Pumbaa: Those two words will solve all your problems
Timon: That's right. Take Pumbaa here Why, when he was a young warthog...
Pumbaa: When I was a young wart hog
Timon: Very nice
Pumbaa: Thanks
Timon: He found his aroma lacked a certain appeal He could clear the savannah after every meal
Pumbaa: I'm a sensitive soul though I seem thick-skinned And it hurt that my friends never stood downwind Both: And oh, the shame He was ashamed Thought of changin' my name What's in a name? And I got downhearted How did ya feel? Everytime that I...
Timon: Hey! Pumbaa! Not in front of the kids!
Pumbaa: Oh. Sorry
Both: Hakuna Matata! What a wonderful phrase Hakuna Matata! Ain't no passing craze
Simba: It means no worries for the rest of your days
Both: It's our problem-free philosophy Hakuna Matata! Hakuna Matata! Hakuna matata! Hakuna Matata! Hakuna matata! Hakuna Matata! Hakuna matata! Hakuna Matata! Hakuna--
Simba: It means no worries for the rest of your days
Both: It's our problem-free philosophy Hakuna Matata! It's our problem-free philosophy Hakuna Matata!
Pumbaa: I say "Hakuna"
Both: I say "Matata"

Simba: Finns inga bekymmer, man är lycklig var dag...
All: Är en härligt fri filosofi, hakuna matata...

The Road Not Taken...Robert Frost
Two roads diverged in a yellow wood, And sorry I could not travel both And be one traveler, long I stood And looked down one as far as I could To where it bent in the undergrowth;
Then took the other, as just as fair, And having perhaps the better claim, Because it was grassy and wanted wear; Though as for that the passing there Had worn them really about the same,
And both that morning equally lay In leaves no step had trodden black. Oh, I kept the first for another day! Yet knowing how way leads on to way, I doubted if I should ever come back.
I shall be telling this with a sigh Somewhere ages and ages hence: Two roads diverged in a wood, and I-- I took the one less traveled by, And that has made all the difference.

Grease - Hopelessly Devoted to You
Guess mine is not the first heart broken My eyes are not to cry Not the first to know, there's just no getting over you Hello, I'm just a fool who's willing, to sit around, and wait for you But baby, can't you see, there's nothing left for me to do Hopelessly devoted to you
But now there's nowhere to hide since you pushed my love aside I'm out of my head, hopelessly devoted to you Hopelessly devoted to you, hopelessly devoted to you...
My head is sayin' fool, forget him My heart is sayin', don't let go Hold on to the end, that's what I intend to do Hopelessly devoted to you
But now there's nowhere to hide since you pushed my love aside I'm out of my head, hopelessly devoted to you Hopelessly devoted to you, oh, hopelessly devoted to you..

This sooooo brings back memories. This came out either the summer before or after 8th grade. A whole group of us went to see it and were just awful...it's a wonder we weren't thrown out of the theater xp

Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening...Robert Frost
Whose woods these are I think I know. His house is in the village, though; He will not see me stopping here To watch his woods fill up with snow. My little horse must think it queer To stop without a farmhouse near Between the woods and frozen lake The darkest evening of the year.
He gives his harness bells a shake To ask if there is some mistake. The only other sound's the sweep Of easy wind and downy flake. The woods are lovely, dark and deep, But I have promises to keep, And miles to go before I sleep, And miles to go before I sleep.

Phantom of the Opera
Christine: In sleep he sang to me In dreams he came That voice which calls to me And speaks my name And do I dream again For now I find The Phantom of the Opera is there, inside my mind
The Phantom: Sing once again with me Our strange duet My power over you Grows stronger yet And though you turn from me To glance behind The Phantom of the Opera is there, inside your mind
Christine: Those who have seen your face Draw back in fear I am the mask you wear (Phantom: It's me they hear) Both: My/your spirit and my/your voice In one combined The Phantom of the opera is there, inside my/your mind
Choir: He's there, the Phantom of the Opera Beware the Phantom of the Opera
Phantom: In all your fantasies You always knew That man and mystery (Christine: Were both in you) Both: And in this labyrinth Where night is blind The Phantom of the Opera is there, inside my/your mind
Phantom: Sing, my angel of music! Christine: He's there, the Phantom of the Opera, oooh...
Sing, sing for me, sing my angel of music, sing for me!

Memory Lyrics
Daylight See the dew on the sunflower And a rose that is fading Roses whither away Like the sunflower I yearn to turn my face to the dawn I am waiting for the day . . .
Midnight Not a sound from the pavement Has the moon lost her memory? She is smiling alone In the lamplight The withered leaves collect at my feet And the wind begins to moan
Memory All alone in the moonlight I can smile at the old days I was beautiful then I remember the time I knew what happiness was Let the memory live again
Every streetlamp Seems to beat a fatalistic warning Someone mutters And the streetlamp gutters And soon it will be morning
Daylight I must wait for the sunrise I must think of a new life And I musn't give in When the dawn comes Tonight will be a memory too And a new day will begin
Burnt out ends of smoky days The stale cold smell of morning The streetlamp dies, another night is over Another day is dawning
Touch me It's so easy to leave me All alone with the memory Of my days in the sun If you touch me You'll understand what happiness is
Look A new day has begun
