Interests: Um... as in, what I like to do? Ok, I'm really into music, reading, writing, and church stuff- ALL church stuff!
Areas of expertise: I am a fluent speaker of Spanish, I know enough Arabic to get around, I am a pretty darn good instrumentalist and vocalist... I'm into the arts, so yeah- all that stuff is fair game.
Reason for joining the Guild: I've been homeschooled and I absolutely LOVED it. My husband, however, is NOT fond of homeschooling. He thinks that it makes children introverts, does not allow them a social life, and generally screws them up for life, based on what he's seen in other homeschooled children he's known throughout his lifetime. I kind of want to hear some other people's opinions and thoughts on it. Maybe find a 'support group' or something, ha ha...
Other: I love the Bible and panda bears are pretty cool animals!

Reason for joining the Guild: I'm in public school, but I wanted to join to see if there was any way I could homeschool myself alongside my traditional schooling. I've always wished that I could be homeschooled.
Other: I'm a vegetarian, and love to eat yogourt raisins. A lot of people label me as 'emo', which is really funny becaue I' the mot hyper, insane, and fun person you'll ever meet. I think it's the black clothes that lead them to beleive such things.

I am a mom of two gals which I have enjoyed homeschooling. We have homeschooled for over five years now. My areas of expertise would probably be history especially us history. There are a lot of good stories of historical events. My interests include reading, and my new love computers.
I joined because I love homeschooling and am interested in what kind of prespective this site would bring to homeschooling.

Hi All,
I'm a 45 yo mom who just started homeschooling last year for my youngest boy who was in 6th grade. This is our 2nd year. We are working under the tutelage of a local charter school, who does all the paperwork, and even provides the curriculum.
I'm still new at this (as well as homeschooling), so look forward to learning more...

Hey! My name is Hannah and I am 14. I just started homeschooling in the beginning of December 06`. I love it so far. I like to read and write. I am gothic. But..Im nice. Churches kinda scare me..(they are so big and bright!) I dont like preps...they have hurt me to much. Christains dont bother me...My best friend is a Christain Prep xd lol. Well...if ya need anything..I am online most of the day. By the way. Music is my life. MCR mainly...

Hi!
I'm a 44 years old Mom (gee, guess that makes me female, huh?) who has been homeschooling for 11 years now.
My interests include God, reading, writing fiction, singing, playing guitar, loving my husband, loving my daughter and teaching her not only academics, but also what she needs to know to grow into a mature, spiritual and wonderous woman.
Do I have any areas of expertise??? Being a Mommy! biggrin No, I really don't think I can claim being an expert in anything in particular.
I joined this guild to be able to interact with others who homeschool and are homeschooled. Being able to share ideas with each other is a great way to help teach those we are teaching, or if you are a homeschooled student to maybe learn something new or pass on your knowledge to someone else.
Other stuff? Just looking forward to getting to know you.
