Undead Tolly

PostPosted: Wed Dec 27, 2006 6:51 pm

All around the room the children were slowly getting to there feet. Keria and the rest of the Aghea kids seemed the most sluggish.

Daia had stopped her screams. Somewhere within the twisted folds of her body sobs were rising. The blood still ran and her arms were shaking as she held her face.

A girl named Ika dressed in white and making no noise appeared out of the corner of Rains eye. There was a flicker of light in her hand and it was all the warning she got. A razor blade slashed at her. There was no connection though.

Aiken had jumped between them and knocked Ika down. The Blade fell to the floor and landed in front of Rain.

Behind the desk Marcius dropped the smile. "I'm sorry Kayako."

Kayako stared daggers over her shoulder, then bowed her head.

"If you only knew how many lives you people ruin this way.....you'd have more than an 'I'm sorry' to say..."

Rain's eyes followed the blade from Ika's hand all the way to the ground. Without hesitating, she reached down and picked it up. She held it pointing at Ika. "If you don't want what happened to Daia to happen to you," she threatened the girl, "then I suggest you leave me alone. And not just me, the rest of us, too. We're not going to take your garbage anymore."

Her eyes were fixed on Ika, a menacing look in them. They were pretty much saying, "Come on, I dare you to try something." Rain registered the fact that Aiken was there, but didn't pay much mind to him. She would try not to hit him, not wanting him to get hurt for something that isn't his fault.

(( Get ready for this one Tolly. ))

Gray sat in the chair, his body sticky and moist from perspiration. The Inverse Drive had dabbed at his bodies limits, gushing out all the liquid his body held.

"Gray." A voice mistily traveled through his thoughts. His eyes opened lopsidedly. Slowly a mist traveled across the floor and up into one point. Decard's attention was pointed elsewhere, but it seemed at the moment that Decard could not see this forming mist. As the mist gathered together and became thicker, it finally took on a greenish shape of some human.

"Interesting... I can see the signals puncturing against the trapar... what an amazing experience." The voice's slurred tones finally formed into something more stable. Finally the misty took on the shape of Xellien. It almost seemed as if he were actually there, standing right behind Decard. His eyes were curiously glancing around, looking at objects that could only be seen by him. After a moment his eyes finally settled on Gray.

"Incredible, the human mind has made reservation for a world it doesn't understand. Can you see me Gray?" Xellien asked and smiled. He titled his head and lifted his hand. When he did so, it mystified into a green gas, and then quickly formed back together.

"I'm not sure if you understand, Gray, but I'm not really here. I've been slightly anxious to use this program, and another." He lifted his head back up at Gray, "In all actuality, I didn't think this would work at all. The trapar is linked to our very minds Gray, you more than me. I've been able to link us... but only temporarily. If I expose myself to this machine to long... well... I might end up outside of my body." A chuckle cracked through his lips as he waved his hand back and forth. Once again it broke into swirling green mists. It shrunk and expanded, attempting to form back together.

"But enough is enough Gray. The guards are going to give you a chance to escape... and I'm going to test my next program on you." Xellien lifted in his and pressed a few buttons on some invisible console. Suddenly an energy filled inside Gray's chest, spreading through his whole body until his fingers felt as if it could even crush metal.

"You have a choice... escape with a KLF, or come back to my ship. Though don't get any ideas on murder. I'm the only one left that can remove the Inverse Drive. That goes along with Kayako as well... you can take her along if you wish." His smile became wider before his body melted into a heavy greenish liquid. The goo seeped into the crack of the floor, disappearing.

((Meh… a little sketchy.))

Kayako still stood motionless like a statue, watching all the occupants of the room move around the blood-spattered floor, her head drooping downward as she was lost in thought. Then, as the others started regaining their footing, she snapped to attention out of nowhere, seemingly jolted by something unseen. Something had drastically changed.

'The signals fading.....damit!!! He got away again....'

The easily noticable signal that was her enemy was disappearing in another direction, then vanishing alltogether. She hadn't been able to stop him....

thump....

Another signal? This one she knew, and it wasn't any of Xellein's men. It was Grey again. Now that Xellien's annoying interference was gone, she could pick up his energy signature clearer than she had been able to before all the rukus started.

Kayako moved away from her place near the nurse. The fight was over now, it was time to get back to what was really important. She made her way to the doorway, stopping at the entrance to look back at Rain. She had yet another weird idea running through her mind now....

"Hey....Rain, if your up to it, there's a friend of mine here we need to find. Care to join me?"

Rain nodded mildly. "Sure," she said. "Anything to get away from these people." She kept the knife in her hand and still had it pointed at Ika as she shuffled her way towards Kayako. "Let's go," she said, giving one last glare to the Ageha kids before going out into the hallway.

Kayako stood with her eyes closed for a second, honing in on the signal. In her oppinion, that was only thing actually useful the thing was good for; well, minus fighting.

"This way.."

She took the lead, making her way down the hallway and heading in the opposite direction of where she'd come from earlier. When she hit an intersection of halls, she closed her eyes and focused again. Acurate though it was, Kayako was always careful never to rely on the inverse drive too much.

Rain followed Kayako down the labyrinth-like hallways. She wanted to ask her a question, but could tell she was concentrating on something. Instead, she only thought about what had happened in that room. Slowly, everything became a little clear. She had hurt somebody. Really badly. Possibly worse than they had ever hurt her. Her eyes widened in the revelation of this.

"What have I done..." she whispered.

Left......

Left again....

turn......

It was really a pain. Kayako walked through the halls of the lab, trying to go quickly but actually making very slow progress for having to stop at every intersection to hone in on Grey's signal. Rain was being quiet now, but it was easy to tell she was being troubled by something. Kayako had the urge to stop and ask her what was wrong, but she figured it was better to leave her alone about it for now. After all, it hadn't exactly been a normal day for someone like her, who'd never been in battle. She probably needed time to think it over.

The signal was very strong now. They were close. Just a few more turns, and they should be able to find him.

'Why do lab-rats always have to make things so hard?'

((*looks closely at one part of your post* Hehe, you called my character Rekka. razz You must've been very tired right there. razz ))

Rain obediently followed Kayako around the halls. Once, since she was so preoccupied by her thoughts, she bumped into her. She didn't really noticed and just grunted for an apology. The shock of hurting someone was still on her mind. She just couldn't believe she would do that to someone. She didn't understand why, as well. She never figured herself for the raging type.

(((Ok, here's my horrible attempt at setting the scene up smile ))

The startch-white walls were fading the farther they walked. The part of the building they were entering now was drasitcally less idealistic than the cleanly environment that they'd just come from; scratches and indents on the walls, stains on the ground that shone brown in the light with the faded texture of dried blood, and heavy steel doors equipped with bolted locks. This was undoubtly the place all the horrors of the Novak Foundation took place, hidden from all the innocent-minded children who were made to believe that their home was a paradise.

Kayako stopped abruptly as the two girls reached another intersection, then grabbed Rain's collar and pulled her behind the wall.

"Sssh!" she silenced, then peeked around the corner. Next to a door just few yards away from where they hid stood four armed guards, watching the halls intensly for any signs of intruders. Unlike the other guards Kayako had seen at the facility, these four were extremely serious about their jobs, which was showed by their determined but weary glances back and forth down the walkways, as if in hopes that nothing would go wrong.

A pulse from her chest confirmed what she'd known all along.
There was no doubt about it.
This was where Gray was.

Shrinking back she turned to Rain, trying to whisper to keep from being caught.

"Listen...we need to get those guys out of the way. I think I have an idea that might work, but I need your help. Think those fist of fury of yours are up to it?"
PostPosted: Thu Dec 28, 2006 3:50 pm

((Eh, I'm sure it's better than anything I would have done. razz ))

Rain looked down at her hands with a sort of worried look. "I never want to do something like what I did ever again," she whispered back. She looked up at Kayako, the same worried-like expression on her face. "But if it'll help your friend get out of this dungeon, I'll do it."

She waited behind wall with Kayako, waiting for her to tell her what they were going to do. She told herself that she would control anger to prevent almost killing someone like she surely would have done to Daia if Aiken didn't stop her.

"Okay, here's the plan...."

Kayako reached into the folds of her clothes and brought out the peice of glass she'd swiped awhile ago from the bed after the fight in the lab had ended.

"I'm gonna throw this across the hall to distract them. When I do, I need you to knock out the two on the right. I'll take the left. Think you can handle that?"
