Natsuko turned around, straddling her chair so she could talk to Kevin, "I think that it's a bit to hard for people who need to get out of the country they are in to get here.... but I think there needs to be classes for immigrants that come to the country...." She said, her views were very liberal, seldom did you hear people say it should be easier to get into the country, "So that people can learn the language, and the history. It took my parents years to learn english it was very difficult. What about you? What do you think?" Natsuko said pulling out some pocky. She knew he had is own, she stuck the stick in her mouth.

"Well don't you think there would be less illegal immigration if we actually made it so people could get into the States in a legal manner?" Natsuko said leaning forward, "Why don't you tell me what you think before I go off on a tiraid, incase we just happen to believe the same thing." She said sitting up a bit straighter.

"Many of those illegal immigrants are taking jobs that no one else will do, hard labor jobs that have never paid much money to begin with. Further more people are unemployed because of job outsourcing." Natsuko said sternly, she should have figured he would feel that way, he had been born in this country, "Besides that, it's the fault of the companies that hire people who come in illegally, not the people who do themselves. They're just looking for a better life for their families. One where they can drink water and have food, it's kind of hard for rich people to understand." Natsuko said. The words were sharp and a little bitter, she knew most of the people who went to the school were far better off in life then she was.

"Besides that, we already deport illegal immigrants when we find them, our only other option is surrounding the country with a huge wall and killing people on site.... and that's a bit cruel don't you think?" she said, trying to be a bit lighter.

"I don't know about you, but the last time I checked most companies don't report their workers that are illegal immigrants." Natsuko said, smiling. She knew she was right and if it came down to it they would just write a report from both sides and come up with a compromise to policy. "So there has to be an middle ground here, like lightening up immigration policies, but stricter policies on illegal immigrants and the companies who hire them, also stricter plenties caught helping people sneak in then."

"You're wrong, the jobs available now are dirty, hard working jobs that pay just about or at minium wage, the legal jobs. No one is going to pay a grown man 2 to 3 dollars more when they can get an immigrant or a teenager to work the same job for minium wage. The problem with the country isn't immigration, it's the outsourcing of jobs. It took all your good paying jobs and sent them to people overseas, where people will work harder for 2 dollars a day. It doesn't matter how many immigrants you have that are doing dishes and picking fruit, because you still have teenagers who will do that for the same wages." Natsuko said in a matter-of-fact manner. She looked at the teacher, who was staring at the two of them. She hadn't ment for it to be a debate, just a simple research project

"Not nessacarily, many people come and open businesses, which create more job opporunities. Besides that, back home there are plenty of places with job openings, dirty greasy jobs, but we still have the highest unemployment rate in the country. Because so many american men think it's above them to take a job making 6 dollars an hour." Natsuko said leaning back more, "It's hard for you to understand the pride of the middle class, you're rich aren't you Kevin?" She nodded to the brand new camera bag, "When you understand that, you'll understand why most prefer to live on an unemployment check and try to aqcuire another skill then work a job that pays that little. So why not let the people who will do it take the jobs?"

Natsuko looked rather smug, but the rest of the class was now silent and looking at the two. It had not occured to most people that Natsuko didn't come from a money, it had been no secret she had been offered a full scholarship, but no one had ever thought if she didn't keep that scholarship she would not be able to stay at the school. Instead of bothering with the stares of her classmates, she kept eye contact with Kevin, she wasn't angry per say, but she was a bit annoyed at his view of the world. She wondered if everyone here was that sheltered.

"I think we'd be in worst trouble. American's care too much about how much they make, all those little stores that pay minium wage would be forced to pay people more, and eventually go bankrupt. Companies would be forced to pay their employees more and would outsource more jobs so that they could keep their production costs down." Natsuko said with a smile.

"Immigration is a nessacary thing. Besides that, how do you think you got here? Because from the looks of things, you aren't 100% native american, so your ancestors were immigrants as well correct? Immigrates often bring over new ideas and growth to a country. If you want to blame someone for the state of our country, don't blame it on the poor people, blame it on the rich fat cats who care more about getting at extra 2 million a year profit."

She smiled and the class started to murmor, there were a few people at the school who's parents owned large companies and many were CEOs, and Vice Presidents of companies. "I come from that class of people, who work in dry cleaners for minium wage, I used to work every summer right along side my mother, not so I could have more money to spend on a car, but so we could pay bills and eat. There are things in this world you, being what you were born into, will never understand Kevin. You're idea of pride is the new sports car you bought, ours is knowing we paid all the bills on time this month."

"No, rich people are worried about profits. Normal people are worried about living, selfish self-centered rich babies are the destruction of this country. Eventually, it won't matter if there are immigrants, because eventually people who run the companies will outsource so many jobs that we'll all be poor and starving, but before you say anymore, I should remind you that American's are the world's greatest consumers, without them, the big companies will fall as well and..."

"That's enough for today you two, here's passes to your next class." the teacher said setting 2 passes down on the desk. Natsuko smiled brightly and grabbed her bag.

"You're good, " Natsuko said, pushing her still damp hair over her shoulder, "I think I'm going to like working with you, however eventually we will have to come to a compromise or we'll never get the project done." Natsuko grabbed the pass and looked at Kevin. "You coming or not? "
