Ea felt a little comforted that Susan had gotten her point about wanting to be partners but annoyed that she had followed her out into the hallway. As another student came up to them she adjusted her robes so that she could not be seen.

Once they seemed preoccupied with the dorm rooms she began towards her own living quarters, the ominous feeling of the spectres comforting her slightly. When she reached the double doors to the spectres hall two very scary looking spectres appeared before her and loomed overhead.

"Welcome Ea. How were your classes today?" One asked in a deep voice, their icy cold auras spreading through the hall.

She looked up and moved her hood back just enough so that only the two of them could see her face. ...I'm sure you already know...She thought then passed underneath them and walked into the forbidden hallway.

After they had let her pass the spectres once again dissipated, the feel of death still lingering near the doors to warn any that came near enough that they would meet a horrible ending should they come near.

Ea sighed happily as she walked down the dark hallway with no one but the dead to accompany her. "Would you like us to take action against that girl?" A voice asked from behind her, a gost in the shape of a young woman floating beside her.

No...it is fine...I expect even more if they ever find out what I am...She answered while reaching up and pulling down her hood before she pulled off the rest of the robes. It felt nice to be around the dead...knowing that she could let down the shields in her mind since the only ones that could read her thoughts now were the spectres and ghosts that were sworn to protect her.

Did you enjoy your day today? Not too many students tried to get in did they? She asked as a change of subject as she entered one of the many rooms lining the hallway.

"Not many...the spectres at the door seem to be sufficient..." The girl said while standing off to the side, glancing over to the male ghost that stood guard just inside the door. "Although...there seem to be a few who are capable of at least getting to the doors without dying so we are planning on allowing The Others to take the rooms near the entrance." She continued.

Ea sat on her large bed, placing the robes off to the side as she reached for her books. Do you think that's wise Charlotte? You know what they will do if anyone gets in. She asked while pausing to look at Charlotte.

"The students are warned when they arrive not to enter the spectres hall. If their curiosity is so persuasive that it will force them to risk their lives then we will grant their obvious wish to die." She responded then looked up as a spectre came to hover next to her. After an unspoken argument she turned back to Ea and forced a smile on her ghostly face. "I will bid you ado now Ea...it seems that more students are trying to get in."

Once she had disappeared the ghost standing near the door became more mobile and decided to come stand infront of the bed Ea was sitting on. "Ms. Ea...the sun is almost set. Would you like me to secure the area?" He asked in a deep voice, his eyes travelling over the books Ea had already strewn over the bed.

She sighed and hung her head, her brown curls falling over her shoulders. yes...go ahead...She thought then began backing her books back up. Thank you very much Sean. She said with a sad smile as a small tear rolled down her cheek.

He nodded and disappeared, the room becoming much darker as a barrier spread across the room so that none could see or hear what was going on within the walls of her bedroom.

As many of the classes came to an end and the students began going around the campus a loud announcement echoed through the halls. "Any who go near the spectres hall will suffer dire consequences. They will not attack you if you do not enter their area. PLEASE remember...they guard this school...we need them and they need their privacy..." A womans voice boomed then dissipated as if it had never been.

Seolo looked up when he heard the voice of his secretary being projected across the school. "hmm...it seems as if the spectres are agitated with the students..." He muttered then stuffed more food into his mouth.

"Yeah...but most of the students will leave them alone..." Chris responded then stood with his plate in hand. "I'm gonna go back to my class and plan the next lesson..." he sighed as he turned to go put his plate up.

Seolo nodded and let him go, turning back to the plate infront of him. "Ita! Dagoth! Are you going to eat with me still?" He called without turning to look.

Two students stood on shaky legs before the doors to the spectres hall, having ignored the warning to leave the hall alone. They started to move backwards quickly and screams of immense pain echoed from their throats as they soared into safer territory.

At the entrance to the hall Charlotte stood in her ghostly form, the southern belles dress she was wearing swaying slightly even though there was no breeze. "We have warned you...if you come near hear again I will use the pain you are feeling now to move you." She stated her in her usually calm tone...making her all the more menacing.

Behind her the two sentries hovered with a cowardly look in their ghastly eyes. "Mrs. Charlotte please do not kill the students." One managed to say in a shaky tone.

She turned her glare to the one who had said it while slowly pulling back the tendrils she had created with her aura. "If they do not wish to die they should not have come here." She said with a small smirk as she remembered the pain she had found within the two students.

The two students scrambled to their feet and ran towards their dorm rooms with looks of excruciating pain written on their faces. "She's crazy!" One managed to gasp while trying to pull his now tattered aura back together. The other nodded and did the same, his pain having been far worse than his friend.

Once the students were out of sight Charlotte turned back towards the door and waited patiently as they large doors creeked open. "If I have to come back out here I will hand you over to The Others and replace you with someone who will do their jobs." She breathed then glanced up at the two spectres before disappearing within the hall.

"She...can't do that can she? Seolo wouldn't let her..." One breathed as he retook his position.

"Well she does have orders to leave us out here...but...we all know how she listens to orders..." The other one responded then projected his aura back down the hall so that it would be even harder for students to make it down the hallway.

His commrade followed his lead then disappeared so that all that gave away his presence was the overwhelming feeling of death that eminated from him.

Chris looked over at the skyline as he passed an opening in the hallway, looking out of the large arched window at the setting sun. It will be happening soon...He thought to himself then turned back to the hallway infront of him.

"Hello Mr. Teno!" A girl said with a flirtatious wave as she passed him.

"Hello." He said in a cheery tone as he nodded in return to her wave.

He wandered through hall after hall until at last he felt the death grip of the spectres. "I wish to see Ea." He said when he finally came to stand infront of the two guards, using his powers to shield him from the pains the spectres auras caused.

"You are not to pass." One said as he reappeared.

"Todd...come on! How many times do we have to go through this?" He asked as he looked at the spectre.

"Until she tells us specifically that you are permitted within." The other spectre responded while moving into the path of the door as Chris took a small step forward.

"We are supposed to have dinner after John..." Chris began then trailed off as he heard more students farther down the hallway.

"That is not our concern." John almost growled while pushing is aura forward so that it was hard for even Chris to withstand it.

He coughed when the assault on his aura increased, a little blood coming up into his mouth as he weakened a little. "Fine. At least tell her I have come to visit her." He said in a strained tone before he turned and began back towards his classroom.

"As you wish." Todd said, having been silent up until this point. "I don't like him..." He whispered to John once Chris was gone. "Something about him is...off..."

"I do feel unsettled in his presence." John said then disappeared again, Todd following his lead again and faded as well.

Charlotte stood outside of Ea's room as the sun finally began to sink into the horizon, a wicked smile rolling across her face at the thought of what she knew was about to happen within. She reached her hand out to touch the door as she had done every night since Ea's arrival, Seans aura immediately attacking hers. With a reluctant nod she turned away and began down the dark hallway to her own quarters, somewhat disappointed that yet again she was not permitted to see the pain within.

"Sean..." Ea breathed as her voice came back for a moment. She looked up at the shadows she knew was him then with a loud scream her voice faded again, her mouth still open as if she was screaming but no sound escaping her.

Sean tried not to listen as everything unfolded but found that he couldn't help but pay a little more attention to her when she whispered his name. It wasn't a shock. She could speak for at least a few seconds each night and every night she would whisper his name as a warning that it was all about to happen.
